The preparation against fouling organisms contains a 4-bromo-2-(4-chlorophenyl)-5-(trifluoromethyl)-1n-pyrrole-3-carbonitrile component or salt thereof as component (I) and component (II), selected from Cu2O, Cu(OH)2, CuSO4, copper pyrithione, CuSCN, CuCO3, ZnCI2, ZnSO4, zineb and zinc pyrithione. The preparation is used as a combination for simultaneous or successive application, in which the weight ratio of component (I) to one of components (II) ranges from 10:1 to 1:10.
