FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to protection of objects from microorganism growths. The composition against fouling organisms contains 4-bromo-2-(4-chlorophenyl)-5-(trifluoromethyl)-1n-pyrrole-3-carbonitrile or salts thereof, as a component (1) and as a component (11) of a copper or zinc compound selected from Cu2O, Cu(OH)2, CuSO4, copper pyrithione, CuSCN, CuCO3, ZnCI2, ZnSO4, zineb and zinc pyrithione. In the composition, the weight ratio of component (I) to one of components (II) ranges from 10:1 to 1:10. When component (II) is zinc pyrithione, the weight ratio of component (I) to zinc pyrithione ranges from 2:1 and 1:2. The preparation against fouling organisms contains a 4-bromo-2-(4-chlorophenyl)-5-(trifluoromethyl)-1n-pyrrole-3-carbonitrile component or salt thereof as component (I) and component (II), selected from Cu2O, Cu(OH)2, CuSO4, copper pyrithione, CuSCN, CuCO3, ZnCI2, ZnSO4, zineb and zinc pyrithione. The preparation is used as a combination for simultaneous or successive application, in which the weight ratio of component (I) to one of components (II) ranges from 10:1 to 1:10. When component (II) is zinc pyrithione, the weight ratio of component (I) to zinc pyrithione ranges from 2:1 to 1:2.
