Method involves formation of a hardened water-soluble complex copper-borate, its grinding to form granules and dissolving granules in water to obtain liquid pesticide comprising the copper concentration at least 0.20% but not above 1.00 wt.-%. Also, invention describes liquid pesticide prepared by indicated method and a set comprising granules of hardened water-soluble complex copper-borate and letter instructions for preparing the liquid pesticide. Method provides remaining copper in solution in dissolving the hardened complex copper-borate in water.

The scope of the invention

The present invention relates to a method of producing a liquid pesticide containing copper and liquid pesticide containing copper.

Background of invention

It is known that copper has fungicidal properties. Unfortunately, the copper hydroxide is almost insoluble in water and therefore must be dissolved in mineral acids and ammonia salt solutions or complexes of copper with the amine.

Summary of the invention

There is a need for more favorable to the consumer and environmentally friendly liquid pesticide containing copper.

In accordance with one aspect of the present invention, a method for producing a liquid pesticide containing copper. The first stage involves the formation of the cured water-soluble complex with copper-borate. The second stage involves the dissolution of the cured water-soluble complex with copper-borate in water and the concentration of copper in the water component, at least 0.2 wt.%.

In accordance with another aspect of the present invention proposed a liquid pesticide containing copper, which consists of a complex copper-borate dissolved in water, with concentrations of copper, a component of at least 0, 2 wt.%.

U.S. patent No. 6001279 (Payzant et al) discloses a method of obtaining reject the established water-soluble protective composition for wood, which contains both copper and boron. During the laboratory testing was done first unexpected discovery. It was found that copper and boron is a chemical interaction with the complex formation of copper-borate. During testing the solubility was done the second unexpected discovery. It was found that the copper remains in solution, by dissolving the cured complex copper-borate in water.

A detailed description of the preferred embodiments

The preferred method of producing a liquid pesticide containing copper, will now be described with reference to the drawing.

The first stage involves the formation of the cured water-soluble complex with copper-borate 12. The method of forming a soluble complex with copper-borate outlines in U.S. patent No. 6001279. The second study which involves the dissolution of the cured water-soluble complex with copper-borate 12 in the container 14, containing water 16. For use as an insecticide concentration of copper in the water should be at least 0.30 wt.%, in order to have sufficient toxicity towards insects. For use as a fungicide copper concentration in the water should be at least 0.20 wt.%, in order to have sufficient toxicity against fungi.

With respect to the minimum and maximum range values, the minimum value of the range to ensure the effectiveness of the leaves 0.20 wt.%. When copper is present in amount less than 0,20%, it simply is not sufficiently active to achieve efficiency. The maximum value of the range is 1.00%, as "excessive" copper above this range does not remain in solution. The preferred range is from 0.35 wt.% to 0.50 wt.%. The lowest percentage in this range, amounting to 0.35%, selected to ensure efficiency as multicida, insecticide and fungicide. The maximum percentage in this range, amounting to 0.50%, selected for financial reasons. Percentage equal to 0.60%, is not more effective than the percentage of 0.50, but is more expensive.

In that case, if the recommendations of the present invention understood, for specialists in this field, it is possible to get and sell containers with granules of the cured water-soluble complex with copper-borate together with written instructions concerning the dissolution of certain quantities of granules of the cured water-soluble complex with copper-borate in certain quantities of water for the formation of liquid pesticide. Required exact number of pellets and the exact amount of water will depend on the activity of the cured water-soluble complex with copper-borate.
