The invention relates to the field of technology of silicates and relates to compositions of ceramic masses for the production of bricks.

Known ceramic material of the following composition, wt. %: clay refractory 20,0-30,0; quartzite 70,0-80,0 [1].

The objective of the invention is to increase the frost resistance of bricks produced from ceramic material.

The technical result is achieved in that the ceramic material for the production of brick, containing clay refractory, quartzite, further comprises bentonite and clay tailings zircon-ilmenite ore in the following ratio, wt. %: clay refractory 80,0-83.0; quartzite 7,0-9,0; bentonite 2.0 to 3.0; clay tailings zircon-ilmenite ore 7,0-9,0.

The table below shows the composition of the ceramic mass production date of brick.

Components Composition, wt. %:
1 2 3
Clay refractory 80,0 81,5 83,0
Quartzite 9,0 8,0 7,0
Bentonite 2,0 2,5 3,0
Clay tailings zircon-ilmenite ore 9,0 8,0 7,0
Frost resistance, cycles 200-220 200-220 200-220

In the composition of the ceramic material can be used high quality clay refractory any of the fields.

Clay tailings zircon-ilmenite ores include clay; up to 3 wt. % zirconium; up to 2 wt. % ilmenite.

The components are metered in the desired quantities. Quartzite grind (specific surface 3000-3500 cm2/g), mixed with clay refractory, bentonite and clay waste enrichment zircon-ilmenite ore. Mass is moistened to 18-26%. Brick molded plastic method, dry it to a moisture content of not more than 6% and calcined at a temperature of 1200-1250°C.
