The invention relates to transport machinery and can be used in automotive plants and service stations to diagnose the condition of the suspension elements and the angles of the wheels of vehicles.

The known method (prototype) diagnosing angles of the steered wheels of the vehicles, on which the driven wheel is mounted on the supporting horizontal platform during rotation of the steered wheels register parameters characterizing the angles and the motion path of a fixed point of reference sites during the rotation of the wheels determine the amount of camber and toe (A.S. USSR №901884, CL G 01 M 17/06, 1982, B. I. No. 4).

The disadvantage of this method is unsatisfactory accuracy of diagnostic sledstvie of asymmetric action of lateral forces at various cross sections along the length of the contact patch of the wheel with the ground, and the complete impossibility of diagnosing the technical condition of the suspension and steering linkage.

The basis of the invention the task is improving the method of rapid diagnosis of corners of installation of wheels of vehicles, which pre-measure the integral of the gaps in the suspension and steering linkage and on the basis of the results of the measurements produce the conclusion on the basis of the Russian state units, and the measurement of the angles of the wheels are produced in fixed locations during simultaneous rotation of the wheels, which ensures quick and accurate diagnosis and the necessary accuracy of measurement of the angles of both managed and unmanaged wheels in accordance with the technical condition of the vehicle.

The problem is solved in that in the method of rapid diagnosis of corners of installation of wheels of vehicles, which consists in the fact that one wheel of the same axle of the vehicle mounted on swivel support a horizontal platform and during the rotation of the wheels register parameters characterizing the corners of their installation according to the invention another wheel of the vehicle's axle block, produce rotation of the platform in a horizontal plane within the existing friction between the wheel and the platform, make the measurement at fixed locations on the wheel a distance corresponding to the total value of the integral joints in the suspension and steering linkage and which are the criteria for evaluation of technical condition and basic parameter in determining the magnitude of the wheel alignment of the vehicle, synchronously roll wheels so that they commit rotation about its axis by 90 degrees, and measure in the same pixaround the x points on wheels distances, the corresponding integral gap in the wheel bearings and suspension components and which is the basic parameter in determining the magnitude of the camber angle of the wheels of the vehicle, then again synchronously roll wheels so that they commit further rotation about its axis to 90 degrees, and measure in the same fixed points on the wheels, which are diametrically opposite to their position at the first distance measurement, which characterizes the value of the toe and which, as in the first measurement, the basic parameter in determining the magnitude of the wheel alignment of the vehicle.

Measurement of characteristic parameters and integral joints at fixed locations provides the required accuracy of the diagnosis due to the exclusion of the impact of possible strain or imbalance of the wheels.

Measurement in synchronous rotation of the wheel 90 degrees in the same fixed points a distance corresponding to the integral gap in the wheel bearings and suspension components, is a basic parameter in determining the magnitude of the angle of camber and criteria for the evaluation of the technical condition of the vehicle.

The dimension of the integral gaps in the elements of the steering linkage provides the setting shode the Oia strictly in accordance with the condition of the vehicle at the time of diagnosis.

In the initial state (Ref. a) one of the wheels of one axle of the vehicle (for example, right with left-hand right-hand drive) is installed on a rotatable horizontal platform, and the other is blocked. When measuring distances AA1 produce rotation of the platform in a horizontal plane within the existing friction between the wheel and the platform and the resulting size AA corresponds to the total value of the integral joints in the suspension and steering linkage, which is the criterion of an estimation of a technical condition and the basic parameter used to define a positive or negative toe is managed or unmanaged wheels of the vehicle.

During the simultaneous rotation of the wheels 90° (for example, when the rolling of the vehicle) radius-vector R will be in the upright position (POS. b), and one of the wheels, for example the right on the horizontal platform capable of moving in the horizontal plane. When the moving platform is rocking both wheels in a vertical plane and measured the size VW integral corresponds to the gap in the wheel bearings and suspension components, which allows to diagnose the condition of the units and makes the conclusion about expediency of further exploitation. Distance W characterizes the largest positive or negative angles of the collapse of the managed or unmanaged wheels of the vehicle.

Further synchronous rotation of the wheels for another 90° (Ref. in) radius-vector R will be in the diametrically opposite position and the measured distance CC1 characterizes the largest positive or negative toe of vehicles, defined by the formula:

The amount of camber of the vehicles is determined on the basis of the measurement data by theoretical formula of the following drawing:

where R is a fixed radius installation of the meter. The Camber value is the average value of the angles of camber in degrees for the wheels of one axle of the vehicle.

Thus, the proposed method provides rapid control of the angles of managed and unmanaged wheels with simultaneous diagnostics of technical condition of steering and suspension for all types of vehicles in production at manufacturing plants, maintenance services is of trucking companies and service stations. Measurement of parameters A, B and C may be mechanical, optical, or other physical contact or contactless methods by means of computer processing of information. The setting of the convergence of S in accordance with the measured parameter A1A2 corresponding to the value of the integral joints in the suspension and steering linkage of the vehicle at a specific point of operation, provides the optimal condition of the installation settings for all modes of movement.

The method of rapid diagnosis of corners of installation of wheels of vehicles, which consists in the fact that one wheel of the same axle of the vehicle mounted on swivel support a horizontal platform and during the rotation of the wheels register parameters characterizing the corners of their installation, characterized in that the other wheel of this vehicle's axle block, produce rotation of the platform in a horizontal plane within the existing friction between the wheel and the platform, make the measurement at fixed locations on the wheel a distance corresponding to the total value of the integral joints in the suspension and steering linkage and which are the criteria for evaluation of technical condition and the basic parameter in determining the magnitude of the convergence wheel transport is the means, synchronously roll wheels so that they commit rotation about its axis by 90 degrees, and measure in the same fixed point on the wheel a distance corresponding to the integral gap in the wheel bearings and suspension components and which is the basic parameter in determining the magnitude of the camber angle of the wheels of the vehicle, then again synchronously roll wheels so that they commit further rotation about its axis to 90 degrees, and measure in the same fixed points on the wheels, which are diametrically opposite to their position at the first measurement, the distance characterizing the value of the toe and which, as in the first measurement, the basic parameter in determining the magnitude of the wheel alignment of the vehicle.
