Invention relates to devices for checking parameters of axle boxes of rail car wheelsets, namely, mean diameter and out-of-roundness in measured sections, and taper, and methods of application of said devices. Proposed device is made in form of common unit equipped with handle secured in upper of device and used for its carrying, fitting in hole of axle box and rotating, when fitted-in. Two standard inductive linear displacement transducers are used for checking linear dimensions of holes of axle boxes in places of location of two roller bearings fitted on neck of wheelset axle. Said transducers convert linear displacements into electric signals. Inductive transducers are rigidly secured in two cases on screw end of each cylindrical stop rod in turned, and in other tubular end spring-loaded cylindrical measuring tip is arranged whose rear part is in contact with spindle of inductive transducer. Ends of case of inductive transducers are arranged in guide bushings with flanges. The latter are secured on front and rear plates of instrument case. Instrument is furnished with arrester protecting inductive converters from mechanical action when bringing device into hole of box. Handle of arrester is combined with handle of device. With handle of arrester pressed on, working ends of cylindrical measuring tips and stop rods get inside guide bushings with flanges. Electric part of circuit terminates in electronic unit located in upper part of device close to handle. Alphanumeric indicator (display) is found in upper part of electronic unit. The invention relates to the field of vehicle maintenance, and in particular to equipment for measuring the angles of the steered wheels of the cars.

Known stand model KI 4872 (Borts A.D., Zakin AH, Ivanov Y. Diagnostics of technical condition of the car. M.: Transport, 1979. - 95 S.)installed on inspection of the ditch, consisting of a supporting frame, two drive rollers with electric sensors, the device for fixing the front axle of the vehicle and remote control devices for measurement of lateral forces. Rotating the drive rollers, spin the front wheel to a predetermined speed, and the resulting lateral force at the tire contact with the roller acts on the sensors, determining and recording the magnitude of the lateral force. The value of this effort and is determined by the convergence of wheels.

The disadvantage of the stand KI 4872 is the determination of the axial force in the place of contact of the tyre and roller, which depends on the condition of the tread of the wheel and roller. The measurement accuracy is low.

The closest to the technical nature of the claimed device is a stand to determine the angles of the steered wheels of the vehicle (Russian Federation patent RU 2089845 C1, IPC G 01 5/24, 1997), containing the leading Jogging drums, kinematically connected with the actuator, driven racing bar is Ana and the measuring device. Measuring device for each of the steered wheels is made in the form of the measuring drum, movable in the axial direction and is installed between the master and slave drums on the plug. The plug consists of a rocker arm located at the edges of the supports rotation of the measuring drum and the vertical axis of rotation of the plug from the actuator rotation in both directions. When measuring the toe by turning the fork around a vertical axis in the automatic mode to achieve zero axial displacement of the measuring drum, and the position of the forks detect the angular convergence of the steered wheels of the vehicle.

The disadvantages of the considered stand is the complexity of construction, commissioning and the impossibility of measuring convergence on cars with different outside diameter wheels.

The task of this device is to improve the accuracy and the possibility of measuring the wheel alignment of the car with different external diameter of the wheels.

The solution of this problem is achieved by a device for measuring convergence of the steered wheels of the vehicle containing the leading Jogging drums, kinematically connected with a drive, led running drums and measuring movable in the axial direction of the reel, characterized in that it further comprises a carriage on which is mounted izmeritelnaya drums, guides carriages, pneumatic cylinders and displacement sensors for measuring the axial displacement of the measuring drum.

The device (see figure 1, 2, 3) consists of measuring the moving drum 1, the carriage 2, the guide carriages 3, displacement sensors 4 measuring axial displacement measuring moving reels, pneumatic cylinder 5, the leading cross-country reels 6 and driven cross-country reels 7.

The device works in the following way:

Car set on leading Jogging drums 6 and driven cross-country drums 7 front driven wheels in the correct position for rectilinear movement (neutral position), while measuring the drums 1 are in the lower position and do not touch the tires. In the pneumatic cylinders 5 are served compressed air of a certain pressure, and measuring the drums 1 are required for measuring the force pressed against the tyre tread. Rotation leading cross-country reels 6 and driven cross-country reels 7 turn the steered wheels on the required number of complete rotations. By the values of the axial displacements of the left and right of the measuring drum 1 is determined by the convergence of wheels. If necessary, re-measurement should be lowered and again to raise the measuring drums 1, they are set in neutral (initial) position. That is exactly what th dimension depends on the number of full turns of the steering wheel.

Device for measuring convergence of the steered wheels of the vehicle containing the leading Jogging drums, kinematically connected with a drive, led running drums and measuring movable in the axial direction of the reel, characterized in that it further comprises a carriage on which is mounted movable measuring drums, guide carriage, pneumatic cylinders and displacement sensors.
