Proposed method of checking summary play in vehicle steering gear comes to successively turning steering wheel from one to other side through angle exceeding possible play with subsequent recording of steering turning angle and displacement of steerable wheel by detectors and forming characteristics of play after which play is estimated by angle of turning of steering wheel after taking up play. Steering wheel turning angle detector is installed arbitrary on steering wheel rim in plane of its rotation, and displacement of steerable wheel is determined by displacement of point extreme from center of rim of steerable wheel in horizontal plane taking it as beginning of counting of steering wheel play, and end of counting is determined by two-fold displacement of said point in opposite direction. The invention relates to the control parameters of the vehicle that affect traffic safety.
It is known that when autovaccine need to set and control the parameters of the backlash in the steering, because they determine the accuracy of the testing signal to the vehicle control. In accordance with this known device for recording the backlash in the steering of the vehicle, including a sensor of angular displacements, located on the self-centering engagement with the possibility of installing it aligned the steering wheel, and this sensor is connected to the input of the electronic unit, the output of which is connected with the indicator, sensor recording rotation of the controlled vehicle wheels, made in the form of two supports with pointed bottom ends connected by a cross bar, one end of which there is a stop for engagement with the outer side surface of the disk managed wheels of the vehicle and at the other end of the finger spring-loaded relative to this crossbar with the possibility of its interaction with the said disk surface of the guided wheel and through the electromagnetic latch associated with one end of the measuring strap, the other end of which is placed with the opportunity to interact with the recording element related to the crossbar, and the output of this recording element connected to the corresponding input of the electronic unit (see Stop paper No. 2 (58) in February 2002, page 26).
The disadvantage of the described device is the uncertainty of the position sensor check rotation, which can lead to measurement error, since it does not guarantee continuous pressing of the finger associated with the measuring device, to drive the controlled wheel.
The technical result, which is aimed invention is to create a design of sensor rotation of the guided wheel with high precision rotation lock wheels.
To achieve the technical result of the sensor registering the rotation of the guided wheel containing the above elements has a center of gravity located in the projection onto the basis, within the triangle formed by the lines passing through the projection on the base of the pointed end and the contact point of emphasis with the drive wheel.
This measuring device may contain a recording device, paired with strap, interacting with your finger through the electromagnet (solenoid retainer), and the output can be connected to the input of the electronic unit.
The sensor can be provided with an intermediate device for engagement of the finger with wheels of different sizes.

The sensor includes a support 1 with pointed bottom ends, connected by a crossbar 2, one end of which there is an emphasis 3 for engagement with the outer side surface of the disk managed wheels 4 of the vehicle, while at the other end of the crossbar 2 elastic (spring 11) is fixed to the finger 5, interacting with the said surface of the disk managed wheels 4 directly or through an intermediate bar 6 with the stop 7 and through electromagnetic lock (electromagnet) 8 associated with one end of the measuring strips 9, the other end of which is placed with the opportunity to interact with the recording element 10 associated with the crossbar 2. The output of the recording element 10 is connected to the appropriate input of the electronic unit (not shown).
The sensor operates as follows.
Sensor check rotation of the controlled vehicle wheels mounted on the base (the base surface of the wheels of the vehicle) by means of the supports 1, having them sharpened ends on a line parallel to the managed disk wheel 4. Ledge-emphasis 3 and pin 5 (directly or through the adjustable 7) rely on a wheel rim 4 due to the location of the center of gravity of the sensor in the projection on the base in the triangle a-b-C, where a is the projection of the point of support of the stop 3 to the drive wheels 4, and b and C are the points of contact of the pointed ends of the supports 1 with basis (projection supports at the base). The specified location of the centre of gravity helps to ensure a stable position of the sensor and guaranteed pressing finger 5 (directly or via intermediate elements) by means of the spring 11 to the drive wheels.
After installing the sensor includes an electromagnetic latch 8, which allows you to connect the instrument to the bar 9, which is in a “zero position”, i.e. the position, which is conventionally considered zero, a movable finger 5, regardless of its “setup” position. After that start the angular displacement of the steering wheel, the sensor signals the angular displacement of the steering wheel are transmitted to the electronic unit. After some turns of the steering wheel begins its angular movement and driven wheel 4. When it starts moving and the finger 5, which leads to the displacement of the measurement bar 9, which is celebrated on the recording element 10, the signal of which is supplied to the electronic unit.
