Invention relates to apparatus and methods of marking valuables, mainly precious stones, particularly cut diamonds, and can be used for subsequent identification of data of the valuables. Mark 1 is made in form of an image, which is optically visualised in diffraction-reflection light, made on the polished surface 3 of the valuable object 2. The structure of the image is formed by a modified area of the surface layer of the object 2 with optical properties in the said area, which is functionally the image of mark 1, altered from the initial properties. The invention relates to a device for artistic and decorative treatment.

Famous diamond tools, comprising a housing with a diamond tip, made in the form of a cone (see "diamond Needle", GOST 17564-85, the USSR state Committee for standards, M., Publishing house of standards, 1986, p.1).

However, this device has a significant drawback - only used for editing single resubstituting circles and cannot be used to make impact on a solid surface.

Technical objective: to optimize impact on a solid surface, improve, simplify and cheapen the construction, expansion of the product range and improve the quality of the image.

The technical problem is solved in that a device for the implementation of impact when applying the image on a hard surface consisting of a body with a diamond or carbide tip, and the tip of the tip lies on the longitudinal axis of symmetry of the housing, wherein the tip is made in the form of an irregular pyramid with different areas of faces and angles at the vertex, the number of sides from 3 to 10, the grinding angle at the vertex of all the wrong pyramid lies in the interval from 45° to 130°and the ratio of the height of the tip to the line of the hull lies in the interval from 0,006 to 0.16, thus the case is provided with a cylindrical shank, the ratio of stem diameter to the diameter lies in the range from 0.2 to 1.2, the ratio of the length of the shank to the length of the body lies in the interval from 0.8 to 0.32.

The proposed device is made as follows. A device for implementing impact on a solid surface includes a housing 1 with a tip 2 and a shank 3. The housing 1 is equipped with tip 2 carbide or diamond, can withstand shock loads. Top 4 tip 2 lies on the longitudinal axis of symmetry 5 of the housing (Figure 1). The tip is made in the form of an irregular pyramid with different areas of the faces 6 and the corners at the top βi, i=3...10 (2, 3). Figure 2 shows an image of a five-sided pyramid (option 1). Figure 3 shows the image of the octagonal pyramid (option 2). The number of faces lies in the interval from 3 to 10. Using the pyramid with the wrong sides are able to get after impact traces indefinite form in the processed material. This can significantly improve the image quality due to the formation of different angles and R is the heat of square recesses, and thus, to improve the appearance and reflectivity of the created cavities, and consequently, the entire image as a whole. Thus, we optimize the formation of images on a hard surface and create the image, rather than improved reflective structure. This eventually allows to improve the image quality in General.

Work with the proposed device is as follows. The shank 3 of the housing 1 is fixed in the device mounting mechanism (not shown in figure 1), through which the shock impact. Tip 2 hits in a solid workpiece surface and chips from her piece of the surface of the indefinite form. The mechanism of realization of the shock is controlled by the control unit, which allows you to freely move the proposed device in all three coordinates X, Y, Z.

The proposed device allows you to optimize the impact in the steps in the processing of solid surfaces, to improve and simplify the construction, reduce the cost of it, to expand the range of such devices, as well as to improve the image quality.
