The present invention relates to the management of sleep and treatment of sleep disorders such as obstructive sleep apnea(OSA), and, in particular, the vending kiosk management of sleep and associated method that provide many of the functions associated with the management of sleep and therapy, including automated software products for managing sleep and therapy.

Around the world there are millions of people on treatment of obstructive sleep apnea (OSA). The majority of these people for treatment was prescribed a kind of therapy with positive pressure, such as therapy with continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP). During treatment with positive pressure positive pressure is applied in the upper respiratory tract, to strengthen or maintain the airway open, preventing, thus, their compression and the resulting overlap of the respiratory tract. A typical system for maintaining a positive pressure in the respiratory tract contains a stream generator (e.g., a blower), which delivers the gas through the channel of the hearth and to the interface of the respiratory product of the patient. In the technique known numerous respiratory interface of the product of the patient, including, in particular, nasal pillows with extenders that are installed in the patient's nostril, nasal masks, which are mounted over the patient's nose, neurotopia masks, which are mounted over the mouth and nose of the patient, and a full-face mask, which are mounted on the face of the patient.

Within the group of patients treated for OSA using therapy with positive pressure, each patient has a unique face, as well as the specific method of treatment for OSA. The combination of unique facial structures and pressures in the treatment leads to a large diversity of respiratory interface device of the patient to satisfy the totality of patients. Every major manufacturer of respiratory interface device the patient has a growing number of types and styles of product to fit the uniqueness of the human person. In addition, each type/style respiratory interface device of the patient usually has many dimensions.

Currently, patients in the treatment of OSA move in a confusing and misleading way. Visits to primary care doctors, specialists, sleep, etc. interspersed with action to obtaining new and replacement equipment which project through the health care provider, or other person, providing care for the patient. As a rule, all these persons, tools and equipment necessary for the treatment of OSA, are located in different places, unnerving thus patients who want to begin treatment as soon as possible.

In one example variant of the implementation is provided by vending kiosk associated with the management of sleep, which includes a main body, a processor is provided inside a main body, a vending device is provided at least partially within the main body. Vending device stores a set of interface respiratory products patient and structured to selectively sell front-end respiratory products patient under control of the processor.

In an additional embodiment, the module facial scanning is provided at least partially within the main body. Module facial scanning includes scanning device for scanning the patient's face. As shown in Fig. 1 and 2, vending kiosk 2 management of sleep includes a main body 4, in which at least part of the components are shown in Fig. 3. The network over which the communication may be one or more wired and/or wireless communication networks, single or in various combinations, and may include, without limitation, the Internet.

For example, the modem 14 can also be used to download data from the smart card, read from the smart card used by the patient during therapy, to a remote computer, such as computer system of the provider of medical services, for analysis or upload data in vending kiosk 2 control sleep and the remote computer system. This is done using a digital camera and/or laser scanning system, well-known specialists in this field of technology.

1. Vending kiosk (2) associated with the management of sleep that contains:
the main body (4);
the processor (8) provided inside the main body;

(b) a supplier of one or more front-end respiratory products patient, and in which the processor is programmed to transmit a computer system inventory information relating to one or more front-end respiratory products patient; or
(c) a health care provider, and in which the processor is programmed to receive the digital information, instructions from the computer system over the network.
