The invention relates to the logging industry, in particular to the process of harvest by harvesting low-volume or low-grade wood with selective felling to cover a more extensive area of the workpiece from one site.

The disadvantages of this device are low productivity and reliability, as well as the limited coverage area and short distance transportation.

The closest to the achieved result is a method of selective harvesting and transportation of wood, including the harvesting and transportation of wood by cutting mechanisms, winches, skidders, cable systems and intermediate supports (U.S. Patent No. 5673625 from 7.10.1997).
