FIELD: medicine, pharmaceutics. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a preparation for babies for reduction or prevention of inflammation in a baby. The preparation for babies includes a source of protein, providing from 1 to 5 g of protein per 100 kkal of the preparation, a source of fat or lipids, providing from 3 to 7 g of fat or lipids per 100 kkal of the preparation, a source of carbohydrates, providing from 8 to 12 g of carbohydrates per 100 kkal of the preparation, a source of long-chain polyunsaturated fatty acids, including docosahexaenoic acid. The preparation also includes from 1×104 CFU to 1×1010 CFU of Bifidobacterium longum AH1206 NCIMB 41382 per a gram of the preparation. Also claimed are probiotic baby food and a method of reduction or prevention of inflammation in the baby or child with application of the said food.
