Acoustic horn and method of making same (versions). RU patent 2519852.

FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: method of making an acoustic horn involves creating a horn model with a profile in the form of an exponent and/or tractrix, dividing the model into a central part and two lateral parts, dividing each part with vertical planes parallel to the plane of symmetry and lying at a distance from each other to form a pattern, cutting flat elements from a thin-wall plate on the patterns, said elements having thickness which is equal to the distance between the vertical planes, and connecting the flat elements by adjoining the flat sides to form the central part of the horn. Each lateral part of the horn is formed by series-connection of plates with thickness of not less than 0.1 mm to form a stepped curve in a plane perpendicular to the plane of symmetry of the acoustic horn, and the lateral parts are then connected to lateral sides of the central part. The acoustic horn is a housing with an input opening and an output opening. The housing has a cavity linking said openings, said cavity being bounded by the wall with a profile in the form of an exponent and/or tractrix, wherein the housing is made from the central part having a width of not less than the cross dimension of the input opening, and two lateral parts attached to the central part to its lateral surfaces. The central part is made of a set of lateral surfaces of plates attached to each other.

EFFECT: improved acoustic properties of the horn.

Invention relates to electroacoustics, particularly to compact high-quality loud speakers for sound-reproducing equipment. The loud speaker has a housing, an electrodynamic head rigidly attached to the housing, and a passive radiator. Between the electrodynamic head and the passive radiator there is an acoustic channel whose cross sectional area is (0.1-0.5)Sdif, area of the passive radiator is (1-20)Sdif, length of the channel is selected from the condition (0-0.4)D and distance between the electrodynamic head and the passive radiator is equal to (0.01-0.5)D, where Sdif is area of the diffuser of the electrodynamic head; D is diametre of the passive radiator. The acoustic channel is made in form of a pipe placed coaxially with the electrodynamic head. For accurate tuning, the acoustic channel can be made telescopic.
Technology of built-in acoustic transmission line with closed loop Technology of built-in acoustic transmission line with closed loop / 2377740
Housing is proposed, which evens out acoustic impedance, which contains a loud speaker fitted in the buffer cavity of the mouth of the transmission line with a closed loop. The transmission line consists of a terminal element, inner and outer walls of the housing, high density lining and a mouth area. The transmission line eliminates internal chaotic standing waves, at the same time providing for standing waves at variable frequency, which, due to superposition of waves, compensate for output loss at high frequencies due to mass acceleration, at the same time damping resonance of the loud speaker. Also the housing, which evens out acoustic impedance, is used for creating pressure which loads the loud speaker directly into the transmission line with a closed loop and an acoustic low-pass zonal filter is used to convert output only into the low-frequency component through a port.
Acoustic system Acoustic system / 2353072
Invention relates to electrical acoustics and may be used where high quality of sound reproduction is required, e.g. halls and studio insonification. Acoustic system consists of a housing, dynamic head of loudspeaker, fixing elements and phase-inverting hole. In section, the wooden housing is oval-shaped and stretched along vertical symmetry axis of the item. One round opening is made at the opposite sides with their centres being on horizontal symmetry axis. One of the openings is closed tightly by resonating wooden end wall. The dynamic head diaphragm in loudspeaker is in the second hole of the housing. The perimeter of the above housing forms phase-inverting hole together with the above hole edges. The width of phase-inverting hole allows for creating maximum value of coherent wave, whereas the resonating end wall is in the form of segment, which is bent so that to ensure precise angle for maximum sound wave reflection. The end wall thickness is less than the housing thickness ensuring end wall vibration.

Acoustic system includes a case with a dynamic at its front panel and a vibration damping element placed inside. The vibration damping element is a triangular prism capable of redistribution of sound wave energy to the case corners where the rear and side panels are joined. One of the side facets of the prism is rigidly fixed to the rear panel of the case.
Acoustic system Acoustic system / 2321186
Claimed acoustic system contains a case with high frequency and low frequency loudspeakers mounted on its face panel, which panel is inclined towards the back panel of the case and displaced towards the inside relatively to the plane of its frontal vertical window. along its perimeter the face panel is rigidly connected to case walls. The high frequency loudspeaker is provided with a horn, formed by a part of inclined face panel, two sides and top shield. The last three parts are rigidly connected to the face panel, to each other and to adjacent sections of perimeter of plane of frontal vertical window of the case. The sides may be made flat, ensuring linear characteristic of horn expansion, or curvilinear, ensuring exponential characteristic of horn expansion. The angle of inclination of face panel α is selected within range between 7° and 35°. As a result, sound quality is improved and vibration of face panel is reduced.
