Electromagnetic clutch

Electromagnetic clutch comprises housing with coil, friction unit made of a stack of magnetically conducting flat flexible wavy disks having two axially aligned members interconnected through radial cross-pieces. The waves are provided only on the inner ring member of each of the flexible wavy disks. The amplitude of the disk in radial direction is constant throughout the width of the inner ring member. The radii of the waves are determined from the formula R1=(x1/2)2=a1, where x1 is the wavelength over the periphery of the middle diameter of the inner ring member, D1, and a1 is the height of the wave measured from the axial plane of the disk.
