The invention relates to the field of input of the information in electronic devices such as a mobile phone or a remote control device, equipped with an alphanumeric keyboard.
Known universal input method by location coordinates «X, Y» [1]when entering letters/characters is carried out by pressing a key on your keyboard that correspond to the coordinates of the location on the device selected entered letter/sign. Summary of the invention consists in that in the known method of input letters and characters for mobile phones, was the fact that on a mobile phone keypad choose digital pictures press, which is required to enter a letter or sign, and click it, click advanced another number key, which coincides with the order of insertion sequence letters to a number of other letters, located on the selected key. Each letter of the alphabet used is specified double-digit integer that corresponds to the place of its location on the phone keypad: the first digit corresponds to the figure on the phone, on which it is situated, and the second number corresponds to the sequence of the letters among other characters on the key. Besides the speed of typing is enhanced by the fact that the proposed method for one letter requires two keystroke, while in the prototype for one letter takes an average of two and a half pressing the key.

The positive effect from the use of the invention consists in:
in improving typing speed is not less than 15...20% due to the fact that the proposed method for a single letter or mark requires two keystroke, while in the prototype for one letter takes an average of more than two clicks;
in reducing the probability of failures to enter letters and characters using digitized keys on the mobile phone due to the exclusion of the necessity to repeatedly, as in the prototype, pressing the shortcut key for the search string of characters preceding the insertion, and the obligatory visual control sequence of letters and characters on the screen display of a mobile phone.
