FIELD: machine building. SUBSTANCE: unit consists of hollow spindle rotating in two - front and back - bearing supports, of tooth gear mounted on hollow spindle between supports nearer to front one, and of nut connected by thread with external surface of spindle. To extend functionality of a machine the unit is equipped with a bushing put on the hollow spindle between the supports. With its one end the bushing interacts with the end of the tooth gear, while with another end it interacts with the nut. Also thread on the hollow spindle for connection with the nut is made at direct vicinity from the back support. Length of the bushing is less than difference between distance form the end of the tooth gear to the end of the back support. Height of the nut equals to a value of a gap between the end of the nut and the end of the back support. EFFECT: procedure is designed for adjusting frequency of spindle unit self-oscillations depending on frequency of forced oscillations during treatment and consists in control of spindle unit forced oscillations frequency by means of screwing nut with force exceeding force required for fixation of tooth gear, when frequency of oscillations exceeds lower threshold meaning. 4 cl, 2 dwg
