SUBSTANCE: polymeric composition for application to an endoprosthesis contains 2-10 wt % of water-soluble polymer, 10-15 wt % of antimicrobial component of 3-methacryloxysulfolane, the rest is ethyl alcohol.
EFFECT: invention allows to expand the assortment of compositions for application to endoprostheses for reconstructive surgery, the spectrum of action due to the manifestation of antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory effect, the operational possibilities due to the applicability for both meshes and threads while simultaneously providing improved processability of polymeric composition application to the endoprosthesis.

FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to membrane equipment and may be used for fine filtration of diverse fluids in food industry, pharmaceutics, and medicine. Proposed composition comprises poly(arylene sulphone) in amount of 100 wt %, polyvinylamide in amount of 1.25-6.67, organic acid with ionisation constant of 1.8·10-5-6.0·10-2 - 200-300, and organic solvent in amount of 360-848.8 wt %. To obtain membrane, poly(arylene sulphone) and polyvinylamide are dissolved in organic solvent whereto organic acid is added additionally. Produced moulding solution is applied on moving surface at the rate of 0.5-1.5 m/min and cured in air at fixed relative humidity of air. Moulding is performed in precipitation bath containing 10-90% of water and 10-90% of one- or polyhydric alcohols.
EFFECT: higher strength and efficiency.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine. What is described is a cage for total extended long bone defect restoration representing a hollow cylinder made of a carbon-carbon composite walls of which are perforated with multiple through holes providing surrounding tissue adhesion and blood vessel penetration inside the cylinder. An inner lumen of the cage is filled with a xenogenic osteoplastic material with an axial through hole used to facilitate a fixation procedure.
EFFECT: cage makes it possible to deliver the osteoplastic material to the defect region, prevents its migration and enables improving the results of the long bone defect correction outcome by the reliable fixation of the osteoplastic material within the defect region due to optimum strength characteristics of an outer support frame, the effective regeneration within the defect region by the osteoplastic material, the absence of adverse effects of the long-term implantation, and as a result no necessity to remove the cage, and ensured possibility of the intraoperative adjustment of the cage size depending on the defect size.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to a bone implant matrix, which contains the matrix base treated or needed to be treated with a reinforcing mixture consisting of a polymer and an additional ingredient. The bone implant matrix is in particular applicable for plastic orthopaedic surgery, orthopaedics, and specifically in maxillofacial surgery, maxillofacial and dental implantology. What is described is a method for preparing the bone implant matrix.
EFFECT: matrix base and polymer, which are the ingredients of the reinforcing mixture, promote the growth of a new bone integrated into surrounding tissues.

A device for introduction of an intraocular lens includes: a cartridge for introduction, which has a case section, a tip and a coating, located on an internal surface. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to materials and methods for elimination of live target-cells. Material for elimination of live target-cells contains, at least, one insoluble hydrophobic anionic, cationic or amphoteric charged polymer. Said polymer in contact with water-containing environment: a) is a carrier of strongly acidic or strongly basic functional group; b) has pH value lower than 4.5 or higher than 8.0 and c) possesses proton conductivity and/or electric potential, sufficient for efficient disturbance of pH homeostasis and/or electric balance inside closed volume of said cell. Said charged polymer preserves pH value of medium, surrounding said cells. Said material can be regenerated by regeneration of charged polymer, regeneration of buffer capacity of said material, regeneration of proton conductivity of said material. What is described is a method for processing synthetic textile implanted medical devices involving coating the devices with hydrogel of natural biodegradable polymers wherein the natural biodegradable polymer is presented by polysaccharide chitosan or its derivatives (carboxymethykated sulphated chitosan) in a combination with polyester-poly-3-hydroxybutyrate. The coating is dried and transferred in the water-soluble state by thermal processing at 100°C.
EFFECT: method for processing synthetic textile implanted blood contact medical devices enables providing the devices with a complex of the required properties: higher thromboresistance and antimicrobial action, zero surgical porosity and prolonged drug release.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine. What is described is a method for blanket or continuous coating of a grid or mesh stent (an endoprosthesis) for vessels and other tubular organs. The first stage of the method consists in applying a first thin layer coating only surfaces of bearing elements of the stent; the second stage consists in applying a blanket coating which covers both a grid of the bearing elements of the stent, and the in-between gaps. What is also described is an endoprosthesis manufactured by said method.
EFFECT: endoprosthesis can keep the lumen permanently open while being elastic and flexible enough.

SUBSTANCE: present invention refers to medicine, more specifically to a biodegradable stents consisting of an internal biodegradable metal frame and an external polymer coating. The biodegradable coating consists of biodegradable polymers and can additionally contain at least one pharmacologically active substance, such as an anti-inflammatory, cytostatic, cytotoxic, antiproliferative agent, an anti-microtubule agent, an antiangiogenic, anti-restenosis (for restenosis), antifungicidal, anti-cancer, anti-migration, hypocoagulation and/or anti-thrombosis agent. A process of making a blood compatible product (6) involves the following stages: making a mould (7) having a product configuration (6); adjusting a polytetrafluoroethylene membrane to the product configuration (6) by heating of the membrane and attaching it to the mould (7) be exposing to differential pressure generated between two membrane surfaces; cooling of the membrane adjusted in such a way with simultaneously keeping it in a condition of attaching to the mould (7); and removing the adjusted membrane from the mould (7). The membrane is made of a porous polytetrafluorethylene which was not thermostabilised to adjust the membrane to the product configuration (6), and membrane fibres have no preferential orientation, and heating of the membrane when adjusting the membrane to the product configuration (6) is performed at gel point of said porous polytetrafluorethylene. The invention also refers to a cardiac prosthesis in which at least one of its portions comprises a blood compatible coating generated by implementing said process.

What is described is a method of preparing a biologically active coating of pore size 80 mcm and more, exposed porosity up to 45% which consists in the fact that a polymer solution is prepared, then hydroxyapatite powder is added, mixed to a homogenised state, dried with poly(vinylidene fluoride-co-tetrafluorethylene) used, mixed acetone and ethyl acetate used as a solvent; hydroxyapatite powder is preprocessed in a ball mill, then the prepared copolymer solution and a hydroxyapatite powder dispersion are mixed in a ball mill; the prepared mixture is reduced to viscosity to put the given mixture on prostheses. Poly(vinylidene fluoride-co-tetrafluorethylene) and the mixture solvent are taken in the ratio, wt %: poly(vinylidene fluoride-co-tetrafluorethylene) - 10-20 and mixture solvent - 80-90; acetone and ethyl acetate in the ratio, wt %: acetone - 50-70 and ethyl acetate - 30-50; hydroxyapatite powder and butyl acetate in the ratio, wt %: hydroxyapatite powder dispersion and copolymer solution in the ratio, wt %: hydroxyapatite powder dispersion - 30-70 and copolymer solution - 30-70.
EFFECT: higher osteoinductive properties up to 70-75%, provided adhesion to a metal substratum not less than 10 MPa, higher elasticity not less than 4 mm.

SUBSTANCE: invention describes a method for preparing biocompatible fluoropolymeric covers on articles made of nitinol. Method involves preliminary preparing an article surface in aqueous electrolyte of the following composition, g/l: NaAlO2, 10-20; Na2CO3, 15-20; Na3PO4, 20-25 in anode regimen at the forming voltage alternating from 0 to 180-200 V at the rate 0.2-0.3 V/s for 10-20 min and then in the bipolar regimen at the constant anode forming voltage in the range 180-200 V and density of cathode component of current 1.0-1.5 A/cm2 for 5-10 min, and applying highly-dispersed low-molecular polytetrafluoroethylene on a prepared surface by mechanical rubbing and heating the applied cover at temperature 100-120°C for 50-70 min. Proposed method provides preparing biocompatible fluoropolymeric covers on articles of a random form made of nitinol wherein these covers show high homogeneity and smoothness and preventing simultaneously release of nickel ions on surface based on decreasing porosity.
EFFECT: improved preparing method, improved and valuable properties of covers.

SUBSTANCE: present invention concerns medicine, particularly artificial biomimetic prostheses from polyether, especially from polyethylene terephthalate, and also by the method of biomimetic functionalisation of the mentioned prostheses. The method includes stage of inoculation of biologically active polymers or copolymers on a polyester surface of the mentioned prostheses, and this stage of an inoculation consists in realization of oxidation of a surface with formation of peroxide compounds by ozonization with the subsequent stage of radical polymerisation of a solution of at least one monomer. Besides, this method includes a facultative stage of prostheses impregnation using fibronectins and/or collagen of type I and/or III. The prostheses made under the present invention, provide normal and uniform growth of fibroblasts, considerably raising thus biological integration of such polyester prostheses.
