The seal holder is arranged for certain radial deflection and inclination relative to the stopper holder stop, and wherein the seal holder is held by the seal holder stop so as to prevent rotation of the seal holder relative to the seal holder stop, a sealing for rotating shaft located on the seal holder between the seal holder and the shaft, and sealing of the seal holder located between the seal holder and the seal holder stop.

SUBSTANCE: sealing device comprises the first casing with a gland chamber formed inside where a pair of cone-shaped sealing rings is installed, pressing springs, a fit ring, a clutch and two thrust rings with each of the latter having plane and funnel-shape mating surfaces. The thrust rings are placed by their funnel-shape mating surfaces to each other, and the clutch adjoins their outer surface by its inner surface. The fit ring is pressed to the plane mating surface of one of the thrust rings by the above springs. The sealing rings are placed between the thrust ones so that their cone-shaped mating surfaces are turned towards the thrust rings. A throttle ring is set between the sealing rings.

Case sleeve ID is larger than pressure sleeve OD to allow pressure sleeve fitting into case sleeve for sealing aforesaid stuffing box. Note here that case sleeve and case cover are interconnected. The packing sub-unit consists of a packing component facilitating pressure tight packing around a rod of the valve and an anti-extrusion component preventing extrusion of the packing component through a gap around the rod of the valve. The loading sub-unit is shaped to create specified tension in packing of the packing sub-unit coinciding in direction with tension created in the packing sub-unit with fluid medium used in a controlled process.

SUBSTANCE: cooled gland seal consists of case with chamber and system of natural circulation of closing fluid. The case of the device is axisymmetrical to shafting and has a press-on bush enveloping shafting and pressing packing elements to a support ring by means of a pin with a nut through a flexible packing ring. Also, the support ring is rigidly tied with the case and is coaxial to the bush. The support ring is positioned in a lower section of the case. A cylinder jacket for supply of cooling fluid via a connecting pipe and nozzle is located axisymmetrical to the case. The nozzle is made in the case. System of natural circulation of closing fluid corresponds to a chamber of end packing, input of which is connected with a heat exchanger, while output - with pneumatic hydro-accumulator via a pressure gauge. The heat exchanger is also connected with the pneumatic hydro-accumulator via shut-off accessories and a filter. The pneumatic hydro-accumulator is connected in turn to a tank with a funnel. The tank is connected to the pneumatic hydro-accumulator through a bypass with shut-off accessories via the pressure gauge.

EFFECT: increased efficiency of process equipment protection from explosions owing to raised reliability of packing shafts of vessels.
