Method for cleaning dampening unit of offset printing machines

FIELD: printing industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for cleaning a dampening unit of offset printing machines, and can be used to prepare for printing and printing of printed products on porous and non-absorbent materials by offset printing with dampening of printing forms. The cleaning method of the dampening unit of offset printing machines is the discharge of waste dampening solution; washing of rollers of the dampening unit with 20% solution of isopropyl alcohol or washing agents, e.g. B÷ttcherin FR 1000 or Varn True Blue or other equivalents; filling the dampening system tank with water and concentrates of Varn Fount Clean at the ratio of 1:20 or four parts of concentrate per one portion of water, or applying BASF Hydroclean-Reiniger substance or other equivalent; switching on the circulation of the resulting solution when the dosing of isopropyl alcohol or additives is off and performing the circulation of the solution for 20-40 min; draining the solution from the system; washing several times with water controlling the pH value, until it becomes the same as in tap water coming into the system. In addition, the system is additionally washed for 10-30 minutes and the rollers of the dampening unit are washed with an aqueous solution of decasan in a proportion of water to decasan of 1:1.7, which corresponds to a pH of 5.4.

EFFECT: reducing the number of rejected prints, which demonstrates the reduction of time for reaching the water-ink balance, absence of mould in the dampening system that improves the performance of the prevention process of the whole machine.
