Valuable document protected from forgery and method of determining its authenticity
SUBSTANCE: valuable document contains an identification mark based on the elements made of an amorphous ferromagnetic alloy. The elements are segments of microwires connected to each other, having the ability to emit electromagnetic pulses with a jump-like magnetization reversal under the influence of an external sinusoidal magnetic field. The intensity of the exciting magnetic field is chosen to be from 0.1 to 1000 A/m, and the frequency of this field is in the range of 0.1 to 100 KHz. The pulses emitted at the field magnetization have the options characteristic for the protective label of number: the number of pulses, the ratio of their intensities and phases measured relative to the zero-phase referred to the magnetic field, with the formation of a given code.
EFFECT: invention provides a high degree of protection of documents and reliability of determining their authenticity.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to inspection of documents of value with a protective element having low and high coercive magnetic areas, and also combined magnetic areas. After magnetisation of all magnetic areas in the first direction, the second magnetisation is carried out, at which only low coercive magnetic material is magnetised reversely as back-to-back to the first magnetisation, however, high coercive magnetic material remains in the first direction of magnetisation. Then the first magnetic signals of the protective element are detected with the help of the first magnetic detector, and the second magnetic signals of the protective element - with the help of the second magnetic detector. On the basis of the magnetic signals each magnetic area of the protective element is identified as high coercive, low coercive or combined magnetic area.

SUBSTANCE: movable support surface with waterproof areas is passed through a bath with a fibre-containing solution, thus aiding in accumulation of fibres on the movable support surface. A belt is fed to the movable support surface, which contains open parts and linking parts so that open parts are substantially opposite to waterproof areas of the movable support surface. The belt is fed to the movable surface in the bath under its free surface in the area, where fibres have already been accumulated on the movable support surface, accumulation of fibres continues so that they are accumulated on linking parts and along the contour of open parts. At the same time waterproof areas do not protrude relative to the specified movable surface or protrude by not more than the thickness of a sealing substance applied onto the movable surface at the level of waterproof areas.
EFFECT: method ensures development of a fibre base with windows on a movable support surface, which does not contain relief elements, to simplify technology of base manufacturing with windows and to reduce requirements to accuracy of belt synchronisation with the surface.

The facility to create open areas on a protective thread is a system of two parallel rows of nozzles arranged so that the first row of nozzles along with the motion of the paper web ensures water supply at the angle of 85-110° to the paper web, and the second row of nozzles ensures water supply at the angle of 100-130° to the paper web.

Methods relate to manufacturing of sheet material and making a protected sheet. Method to make a sheet material includes the following stages. Making the second layer of paper on the metal cloth of the second cylindrical shape with formation of at least one groove in the second layer. Then two layers are combined and dried. Method to make a protective sheet repeats the above-specified method with inclusion of the stage, where at least partially transparent element is fixed in the longitudinal section of zero thickness of the first layer of the sheet material.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to multilayer substrate 60 and method to produce a counterfeit-protected paper. Proposed substrate consists of the first paper interlayer (10, 202) with density varying from 10 to 80 g/m2 and second paper interlayer (20, 214) with density varying from 10 to 80 g/m2, and one layer of plastic made from thermosetting polymer materials arranged between aforesaid interlayers (10, 20, 202, 214) and bound therewith. Proposed method consists in that plastic layer, as-melted, is introduced between said paper interlayers (10, 20, 202, 214) for them to be squeezed between two rolls (50) in continuous process. Said two rolls 50 are kept at temperature exceeding room temperature but lower than that plastic material melt. Paper interlayers and plastic layer are bound together due to atomic-molecular forces between said layers to produce penetration zone wherein plastic layers are bound with fibrous material of aforesaid interlayers (10, 20, 202, 214). Plastic layer density varies from 22 to 80 g/m2.

SUBSTANCE: method is intended to impart dirt and/or moisture resistance to porous substrate for protected documents, and also relates to dirt and/or moisture resistant protected document. Method includes application of dirt and/or moisture resistant compound onto opposite surfaces of porous substrate having porosity of approximately 20-100 millilitres per minutes and its impression into pores of substrate. At the same time compound penetrates and spreads at least in part of substrate thickness, then excess compound is removed from opposite surfaces of substrate. Coating press is used to impress dirt and/or moisture resistant compound into pores of substrate.
EFFECT: specified compounds applied by suggested method do not darken optically variable effects generated by non-porous film structures on the basis of microlenses, which may be used on or inside these protected documents, and thin layers of fibres applied and this introduced into parts of protective devices in protected documents containing windows with dirt and/or moisture resistant properties according to the present invention, demonstrate improved durability.
