Structure of colour monitoring for optical measurement of colours printed on sheet or roll base by means of multi-colour printing machine, and its application

SUBSTANCE: base is an effective printing area with multi-colour printing image containing multiple adjacent colour areas printed by the corresponding set of printing paints of various flowers, and the structure of control of colour is located regarding a basis field near effective printing area. Such structure of colour monitoring contains one or more bands of monitoring of colour rendition passing across the direction of movement of the base, each band of colour rendition monitoring contains a set of separate fields of colour monitoring consisting of printing fields of each corresponding printing ink which is printed in effective printing area. Colour monitoring fields are matched with the valid application of the respective printing inks in effective printing area and located across the direction of movement of the base in the locations corresponding to the valid locations in which the corresponding printing inks are applied in the effective printing area.

EFFECT: monitoring level increase.

SUBSTANCE: proposed solution discloses the method to select components of a printing system for optimal colour rendition, which consists in design of an original, assessment of its colour characteristics, selection of optimal components of the printing system, verification of compliance between a printing impression and an original image and run printing. At the same time the printing system is previously tested, and colour triangles are built. Assessment of colour characteristics of the original is carried out on the basis of an electronic copy of the original. Modelling of colour characteristics of the original and characteristics of the printing system is carried out in a uniform colour space. Printing system components are selected by comparison of original and printing system characteristics modelled in the uniform colour space. When detecting groups of elements arranged outside a colour triangle of the printing system, a combination of printing system components is selected, at which the vast majority of elements will be absorbed with a colour triangle of the printing system.

EFFECT: reduced capital intensity of printing system components selection providing for colour rendition without distortion and with optimal colour rendition.

SUBSTANCE: described is a device of self-monitoring and measurement of colours of printed sheets for production of banknotes and similar printed security papers comprising a cantilever containing a support surface for placement of a printed sheet sample; a multifunctional measuring instrument, which includes several sensors containing at least one camera to make pictures of selected sections of the printed sheet sample and a sensor for measuring colour to perform spectrophotometric, colorimetric and/or densitometric measurements in selected points on the printed sheet sample; a display for displaying images made by the camera and measurements made by the sensor for measuring colour; and a control and processing unit connected to the multifunctional measuring instrument and the display. Device contains a movable beam with a sensitive element, where the multifunctional measuring instrument is located, herewith the moving beam with the sensitive element is made with the possibility of displacement along X axis above the support surface of the cantilever and above the entire surface of the printed sheet sample located on the support surface, herewith several sensors are installed onto a common sensor head, which is made able to move inside the movable beam with the sensitive element along Y axis, so that the multifunctional instrument can selectively make pictures of selected sections of the printed sheet sample with the help of the camera or to perform measurements in selected locations on the printed sheet sample with the help of the sensor for measuring colour. SUBSTANCE: intaglio printing press comprises a printing roll carrying one or more printing plates and a printing cylinder interacting with the printing roll, with a printing contact area between the printing roll and the printing cylinder. Each of the printing roll and the printing cylinder comprises one or more cylinder recesses and a corresponding number of cylinder segments. The printing roll and the printing cylinder, during printing operations, are in rolling contact with each other along their respective cylinder segments, in the absence of cylinder recesses in the area of printed contact. The intaglio printing press also includes a monitoring system configured to perform current monitoring of the condition of the printing cylinder rolling with respect to the printing roll, and an indication of whether or not the rolling state corresponds to the desired rolling state. The desired rolling state is a rolling state corresponding to the correct rolling of the printing cylinder with respect to the printing roll with no slip between the circumferential surface of the printing cylinder and the circumferential surface of the printing roll.
