The present invention relates to the field of communications and, in particular, to a method for the management of child protection in the TV-based Internet Protocol (IPTV, Internet Protocol Television), hereinafter referred to as Internet TV, and to the server electronic program guide (EPG, Electronic Program Guide).

The level of technology

Internet TV is a technology that provides a variety of interactive services, including digital television for private users, with the use of cable television networks and integrated with other technologies such as Internet, multimedia and communication, the users can access the online TV service is typically provided by a network STBs (set-top box) and a conventional television receiver in the house.

The implementation of the invention

To solve the existing prior art, which is that the way to ensure the protection of children are supposed to implement the function the child lock used by the user in the terminal device, the proposed improved technical solution for the management of child protection in the Internet TV in accordance with the options of implementing the present invention. The principle of this solution consists in the following: server electronic program guide obtains the user settings of the protection of children; and the server electronic program guide to decide whether the immediate�nny channel view selected by the user, in accordance with the settings of the protection of children.
