SUBSTANCE: invention relates to automotive industry. ICE comprises cylinder block, cylinder iron sleeve (1), cylinder iron cover (2), steel gasket (3) in gas joint between sleeve (1) and cover (2) studded together and to cylinder block. Gas joint gasket (3) features rectangular cross-section and is made of material its hardness being 10÷15% lower than that of cylinder sleeve (1) and cylinder cover (2). Taken sizes ensure compression forces in gasket (3) resulted from tightening of aforesaid studs at 15÷20% lower force than gasket material yield point. Cylinder sleeve (1) and cylinder cover (2) gas joint surfaces have extending triangular teeth (8) in width and height making 2÷5% of gas joint gasket (3) width and are located at mid section of said gasket.

EFFECT: compensated mutual radial and axial shifts of cylinder sleeve and cover.

The invention relates to the mechanical engineering, in particular to a medium-speed internal combustion engines.

Known construction engines, where the seal gas joint combustion chamber between the sleeve of cylinder and cylinder head made with the use of sheet metal gaskets of different profile (for example, U.S. patent 6,161,842). The drawback of such seals is that due to the small thickness of pads they cannot compensate occur when the engine is mutual radial and angular micromovings cylinder liners and cylinder cover. This leads to the wear of contact surfaces of the cylinder liners, and cylinder cover and gasket, gas joint and result in the loss of efficiency of the seals.

The proposed construction of a cylinder liners, and cylinder cover, laying gas joint by choosing the shape and material of the strip, the configuration of the mating surfaces of cylinder liners and cylinder cover allows to compensate mutual radial and angular micromovings cylinder liners and cylinder cover by elastic deformation strip, which eliminates wear the mating surfaces and provides effective sealing gas joint for a long engine operation.

The aim of the invention is a significant increase in the efficiency of the seals, gas joint combustion chamber at the Assembly site sleeve of cylinder - laying gas joint - cylinder cover.

Cast-iron cylinder liner 1, cast iron cylinder cover 2, steel strip, gas joint 3 form a cylinder kit, which shall be sealed with the cylinder block 4 using the power pins 5. Cylinder package with a piston 6 make up the combustion chamber 7. On the mating surfaces of cylinder liners and cylinder head made protruding teeth triangular section 8, located in the average width of the zone of laying gas joint.

Seal gas joint is carried out by providing the following conditions:

- thickness and material of laying gas joint chosen so that the voltage compression σ ooh it from the tightening torques power pins must be less than the yield strength of the material laying gas joint and was

Properties and application". - M: A motor cycle", 1963, p.53) cylinder liners and cylinder cover. Due to this, and given that the sleeve of cylinder and cylinder head made the teeth triangular cross-section, the width and height of 2% to 5% of the width of the strip, and affixing cylinder liners and cylinder cover power pins is the indentation of cloves in the body gasket, gas joint and is provided so seal the combustion chamber;

- cross-section strips gas joint performed in the form of a rectangle, in which the thickness of the gasket, gas joint allows for the account of its own elastic deformation to compensate mutual radial and angular micromovings the mating surfaces of cylinder liners and cylinder cover arising at work of the engine, without wear the mating surfaces.

The proposed structure of laying gas joint, cylinder liners and cylinder cover provides quality and reliable sealing gas joint combustion chambers of an internal combustion engine for a long period of operation.

The internal combustion engine contains a cylinder, a cast-iron cylinder liner, cast iron cylinder cover, steel strip, gas joint between the sleeve and the cylinder head, bonded by means of power pins cylinder mounting kit to the cylinder block, wherein between the sleeve of cylinder and the cylinder head gasket, gas joint made of rectangular cross-section of the material hardness is below the hardness mating cylinder liners and cylinder cover 10% to 15%, and sizes, providing the compressive stress in the lining from the tightness of the power pins of the cylinder mounting kit below the yield strength of the material strips at 15% to 20%, and on the surfaces of gas joint cylinder liners and cylinder head made protruding teeth triangular cross-section, the width and height of the components of 2% to 5% of the width of the strip, gas joint and located in the average width of the area of the strip.
