The technical FIELD

This invention relates to the connection and identification of electrical conductors and circuits, and more particularly, to the connection of electrical cables in equipment intended for distribution and control of electric power.

PREREQUISITES INVENTION

The existing terminal blocks are often manufactured and sold as terminal blocks or pads (usually containing from 10 to 12 items per block), which have some of the conclusions in accordance with installation requirements and do not contain any means of marking or identification of conductors. Typically, these pads have the following limitations:

a) Mark: there is no recognition schemes, because there is no cover or attach identification of item, and only use plastic marking washers or label attached or bound to a conductive cables. Washers have several disadvantages, among which the following can be noted: a) for each cable needs to have its own washer with a specific set of numbers and/or letters, and b) these rings are not attached to the cable properly so that they slide, turn or get lost when you disconnect the cable. On the other hand, labels interfere in the operation of the cables.

Description of the INVENTION

Modular connectors for electrical connections made in accordance with this invention, contain an external device is the means of fastening, which facilitates the unification of elements performed using interlocking joints that provides a convenient structure for each specific application.

PRE IS RESPECTFUL embodiment of the INVENTION

The proposed single, end-to-end and triple modular connectors essentially contain:

- Internal metal conductive element, which is formed of one or more contiguous metallic conductive parts 1 in the form of a rectangular parallelepiped and the two opposite sides of which are open, and on the top face has a through threaded hole 11, into which is inserted the clamping screw 2, providing for the fixing of cables placed in the inner hole 12 of the metal part. Metal part 1 is manufactured by casting, as shown in figure 11, or, as can be seen from figure 2, by bending a flat strip of 3 with holes on the ends 31 at its flattening, stamping or pressing, or made of rectangular extruded profile. To create the inner conductor applies a flat strip, which is drilled on the left and right ends 31 and which after drilling is formed to ensure a rectangle with two holes 11 arranged one above the other.

- Comprising a frame, which is made of thermoplastic insulating material 4 and the color which matches the color of a conducting cable. - Covering frame 4 modular connectors contains a side covered with the connecting link 42 and the side covering the connecting links or socket 43 in which the holes 44. These connecting links 42-43 provide the possibility of combining the connectors 4 in the transverse direction.

Covering the frames with only one front surface for the installation of cables, contain covered and covering the connecting links 45, 46 are located on the rear surface of the specified frame 4. These connecting links 45, 46 provide the possibility of combining different connectors in the rear.

The above two possible ways of combining can be performed together to provide add new connections without changing the existing ones, allowing you to more easily build connections. In addition to the lateral and transverse reciprocal connections exist the possibility of mounting in various grounds through holes 44, made in the connecting link 42-43.

The proposed modular connectors without interlocking connection with the threaded rod screws essentially contain:

- Metal conductive part 7 in the form of a double "U", made of conductive material, and in the walls of each of the letters "U" made the thread 71, providing entry between them of the clamping screws 8, formed by a threaded rod without head, unlike the previous examples, using the 2 screws with the heads.

Two covering parts 4A-4B, the conductive metal portion 7, which is made in the form of double letters "U", also made of t is roplasts and can be embedded in one another, one of them has the same lateral connecting links, as links 42-43 described above. Using lateral connecting links you can combine different connectors (end-to-end with three holes, with one hole, in the form of double letters "U" and so on), as well as other connectors that correspond to different sizes or cross-sections of the cable, for example, 1 mm21.5 mm2, 2.5 mm2, 4 mm2a 6 mm210 mm2, 16 mm2and section sizes that are above, below, or within the limits specified, provided that the size of their connectors or adapters are the same. This provides the possibility of mutual connection of connectors of different sizes.

Covering the frame, the insulating cover and the outside of the front cover part is fabricated using a suitable material that meets existing standards for each specific location and time.

Such modular connectors were originally designed for conductors with cross sections of 1 mm2, 1,5 sup> 2, 2.5 mm2, 4 mm2a 6 mm210 mm2, 16 mm2and other standard sections.

To ensure ease of interconnection conductors enclosed in a thermoplastic insulation, they are placed in covering the frame with color identification phase, zero or ground wires.

With regard to the designation of electrical circuits, these elements contain the cover, which may carry the information about the circuit presented in the form of a corresponding inscription. The cover may be specified number of characters or letters identifying the chain when possible, use existing regulations in a particular country at a particular time. Below is the legend, currently used for identification of circuits in Spain:

C4 washing machines, dishwashers and water heaters

As for the cables, it should be stressed that, since the conductive part is made of metal, it provides a higher degree of attachment of the cables on the ground after compressing them with screws and does not shear or slipping of the cable.

Fixing of modular connectors is achieved by performing the holes in the connecting links, which enables the fastening elements to the housing female connector, terminal box, the guide rail 10 DIN or any other device with formation of a single node (see Fig).
