Adhesive composition for making self-adhesive tape

FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: composition contains perchlorovinyl chlorinated resin, pine rosin, tricresyl phosphate plasticiser, baking soda, ethyl acetate solvent and a solution of a butyl acrylate and methacrylic acid copolymer in ethyl acetate.

EFFECT: self-adhesive tape with an adhesive layer based on said composition is flame-proof, has high initial adhesion of the adhesive layer and high strength characteristics with respect to glass fibre.

The invention relates to the field of production of self-adhesive sticky tape and specifically relates to adhesive compositions for the manufacture of self-adhesive non-flammable adhesive glass cloth tape on the base and can be used in various fields of national economy, in particular in the aviation industry.

Adhesive self-adhesive tapes are widely used adhesive compositions based on different polymers, and in particular on the basis of chlorinated polyvinylchloride resin (perchlorovinyl resin).

From SU 1171499, 07.08.1985 known adhesive composition containing chlorinated polyvinylchloride resin, a low molecular weight butadiene-nitrile rubber and ethyl acetate, an aqueous solution of caustic soda in the following ratio of ingredients, wt.%:

This adhesive is intended only for bonding leather, plastics, ceramics, wood and metals.

As a solvent it contains, for example, acetic acid ethyl ester as a plasticizer - tricresylphosphate.

However, this composition is intended for adhesive tapes based on PVC film materials used for protective pipelines against corrosion.

Known adhesive composition designed to produce bounding (sticky) non-flammable tape, designed for fastening reklamonositel thermal insulation at operating temperatures from -60°C to +60°C., the Adhesive composition contains the following components (in parts by weight)

The adhesive composition is recommended for use in domestic aircraft construction for fastening of thermal insulation in the cabin (THE 6-17-794-85). The disadvantage of masking tape is a low contact stickiness and low strength properties of adhesive joints, leading to peeling of the tape from the mats ATM-1.

The adhesive composition is recommended to obtain a sticky tape on fiberglass STF (TU 1-92-82-83) and recommended for bonding insulation materials. The disadvantage of masking tape with the use of this adhesive composition is low pin viscosity (initial viscosity), which is necessary to ensure technological Assembly thermal insulation, and insufficient strength when peeling and shear (tape LGM in the production of peeled from the mats).

In addition, in Russia at the present time there is no production of acrylate rubbers, containing in its composition 2.5-methylvinylpyridine, and low molecular weight acrylate rubbers based ethoxyethylacetate (filmed production.)

As intended and achieved technical result of this well-known adhesive which song is the closest to the claimed invention.

The technical objective of the claimed invention to provide an adhesive composition that is designed to get non-flammable adhesive tape.

The adhesive qualities of the adhesive tape was evaluated:

- contact adhesion is defined as the maximum load that can withstand the sample tape, not looking up within 30 seconds. (spectrapure) (TU 1-595-24-524-98),

- bond strength when peeling according to GOST 411-77 (after 1 day)

- strength bonding tape LENGTH to fiberglass STF M. (TU 1-595-24-524-98).

The compositions of the adhesive compositions 1-7 and properties of adhesive tapes on the basis of these compositions are shown in table.

The data presented in the table demonstrate the significant benefits of the proposed formulations of adhesive compositions, in comparison with the prototype. So the sticky tape with the provided adhesive compositions provide contact stickiness of not less than 150 g/cm3, while the contact stickiness samples of the prototype - 50 g/cm3 . Thus the adhesion of adhesive tapes, determined by the bond strength when peeling and shear exceeds the same indicator of the prototype (adhesive compositions 1-5).

The adhesive composition for the manufacture of self-adhesive sticky tape on the base of fiberglass, including chlorinated polyvinylchloride resin, pine rosin, plasticizer tricresylphosphate, soda drinking, the solvent is ethyl acetate and the solution in ethyl acetate of a copolymer of butyl acrylate and methacrylic acid with a content of carboxyl groups is 1.2 to 1.5% in the following ratio of components, parts by weight:

SUBSTANCE: proposed invention relates to method of fabricating laminar material for labels. Proposed method comprises producing transparent polymer film 2a with first and second surfaces. Printing is made on second surface of said transparent polymer film. Method includes introducing substrate 6 including separation surface 6a and sole layer of dry adhesive 2c on said separation surface. Then, dry adhesive surface is activated to make it sticky. Thereafter, sticky adhesive on separation surface is attached to second surface of transparent polymer film.

EFFECT: simplified procedure, excluding one layer of transparent film and one layer of laminating adhesive.

FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an adhesive film for road surface. The adhesive film contains a carrier substrate which is a polymer film, a surface layer on the substrate surface made from a polymer film and a layer of pressure-sensitive hot-melt adhesive. The polymer film is based on polyvinyl chloride, polyamide, acrylic resins, high-density polyethylene, polypropylene and polyethylene vinyl acetate. The surface layer contains resinous non-asphalt material or material which contains about 50% or more resinous non-asphalt component and about 50% or less asphalt component. The surface layer can form a bond with the adjoining layer of asphalt road material when the surface layer is heated to about 120°C or higher at pressure which is applied to the material of the adhesive film on the side of superimposed layer of asphalt road material. The layer of asphalt road material has thickness of about 3.8 cm or more. The surface layer is not adhesive at temperature of about 20°C and pressure of about 1 atm. The adhesive film for road surface can be used particularly for repairing old road surfaces without tack coat.

SUBSTANCE: self-adhesive material has a base - aluminium foil and an adhesive composition applied on said base, having permanent stickiness, containing the following in pts.wt: isoprene-styrene thermoplastic elastomer with 5-7% styrene content 100, an adhesive agent - terpene phenol resin, terpene styrene resin or mixture thereof with perchlorovinyl resin 10-15, plasticiser - epoxidated vegetable oil 7-10 and an organic solvent - ethyl acetate or mixture thereof with benzine and methylene chloride 250-550. The adhesive composition can additionally contain chlorinated polyisoprene rubber in amount of 2-5 pts.wt. The ratio of the thickness of layers the base: adhesive composition is equal to 1:(0.25-1). SUBSTANCE: acrylic copolymer, consisting of a plurality of copolymerisable monomers comprising at least one ethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acid with ethylene bonds is obtained via free-radical emulsion copolymerisation. The pressure sensitive adhesive acrylic polymer is neutralised with at least one hydroxy-functional amine to pH higher than 4.5. The pressure sensitive adhesive composition can be removed under the action of an aqueous caustic solution at temperature of at least 50°C. The pressure sensitive adhesive composition is suitable for high-speed deposition on a polymer film in form of a coating. A label with an adhesive layer from the pressure sensitive adhesive composition is capable of sticking to the cylindrical curved surface of an article. The removable polymer label is used on reusable containers.

EFFECT: as a result of using the pressure sensitive adhesive composition, polymer film-type labels can be quickly and completely removed from a surface by washing, while preserving their excellent aesthetic and mechanical properties.

SUBSTANCE: invention may be used in light industry, including clothing, shoe and tanning industries, for duplication of parts. The method to make a thermally glued material, which consists in application of a thermomelting polymer onto a substrate with its subsequent setting. The finished material is additionally treated with fullerene dissolved in an organic dissolvent, or fullerene dissolved in an organic dissolvent is additionally introduced prior to application onto substrate into a melt of a thermomelting polymer in the concentration of 1÷6 g/l.

EFFECT: method makes it possible to produce thermally glued padding material, which has higher adhesive properties and resistance to physical-chemical and mechanical actions.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to hot melt glues that are able to absorb aqueous liquids. Glue comprises from about 10% to about 50% of block-copolymer representing linear or radial copolymer structure of the formula: (A-B)x wherein block A represents polyvinylarene block; block B represents poly(monoalkenyl) block; x means number of polymeric links and represents a whole number equal to 1 or above, and from about 20% to about 80% resin enhancing adhesiveness, and from about 1% to about 60% of polymer absorbing an aqueous liquid. Also, invention relates to absorbing article comprising moisture-penetrable upper layer, moisture-proof protecting layer, absorbing member between upper and protecting layers wherein moisture-penetrable upper layer or moisture-proof protecting layer is attached to absorbing member by the proposed hot melt glue. The prepared thermoplastic gluing material can be used for adhesion joining backings and for conferring additional moisture-absorbing capacity to nonwoven materials.

EFFECT: valuable properties of glue.
