Adhesive composition

FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: adhesive composition contains a combination of butadiene-styrene thermoplastic elastomers with a linear or radial structure, glycerine rosin ester, petroleum resin, dibutylphthalate, quinol ether and an organic solvent.

EFFECT: composition increases adhesion strength of different flexible substrates, for example rubber, leather, textile materials, artificial leather and other materials.

The invention relates to polymeric adhesives and can be used for bonding flexible substrates, such as rubber, leather, textile materials, imitation leather and other materials used in the textile, Shoe, textile, automobile, furniture and other industries.

Known adhesive composition containing thermoplastic elastomers - butadiene-styrene thermoplastic elastomer, modified rosin and organic solvent (thermoplastic elastomers, Ed. VII. - M.: Chemistry, 1985, p.131-141).

Closest to the invention to the technical essence is the adhesive composition, which includes butadiene /isoprene/ styrene thermoplastic elastomer, rosin, ester of rosin, disproportionately or gidrirovanny rosin, henology ether and an organic solvent (ethyl acetate+gasoline) (U.S. Pat. 2083626 Russia, IPC 09J 153/02; publ. 10.07.1997).

However, this adhesive composition has insufficient bond strength.

The technical result consists in increasing the adhesion to various substrates and improve performance characteristics.

The technical solution of the invention is a composition based on butadiene-styrene thermoplastic elastomers containing glycerol ester of rosin, as a hardener - henology ether, the solvent is a mixture of ethyl acetate and petrol as the polymer base is a mixture of butadiene-styrene thermoplastic elastomers linear and radial structure and further comprises dibutyl phthalate, kumaran-indene resin in the following ratio of components, parts by weight of:

As the butadiene-styrene thermoplastic elastomers in the composition can be used commercially available block copolymers, linear block copolymer based on styrene and butadiene content of bound styrene of 30% wt. DST-30-01 (TU 38.103267-99) and a radial block copolymer based on styrene and butadiene content of bound styrene of 30% wt. DST-R-01 (TU 38.40327-98).

In the composition used: resin is a glycerol ester of rosin (GOST 81-26-78), kumaran-indene (OST 14.30-76); the plasticizer is dibutyl phthalate (GOST 8728-88) and henology ether mark OH-1 (TU 6-09-513-76).

As otward the indicator can be used henology ether of any brand.

As solvents for the adhesive composition, it is preferable to use a mixture of nefras C-2 80/120 and atmoderate in a 1:1 ratio.

The method of preparation of the composition lies in the simultaneous dissolution of thermoplastic elastomers, resins, plasticizer and finalborgo ether in clearesult.

Examples of execution of the invention.

Example 1. The number of components indicated in table 1, respectively recipe 1. Butadiene-styrene thermoplastic elastomers linear and radial structure in the ratio of 75:25, glycerol ester of rosin, kumaran-ingeniou resin, dibutyl phthalate and henology ether, ethyl acetate and nefras loaded into clearesult, stirred until a homogeneous mass. Can be used fractional flow components.

The obtained adhesive composition is applied to the bonding of the substrates constituting the rubber based on butadiene-styrene rubber. The duplicate samples, and adhesive bonding characterizes the bond strength.

Examples 2-3. Prepared analogously to example 1, but as a thermoplastic elastomer use a combination of butadiene-styrene thermoplastic elastomers linear and radial patterns in the ratio of 50:50 (example 2) and 25:75 (example 3).

Examples 4-5 are prepared analogously to example 1, but the resin is injected with indicated in table 1 ratio.

The adhesive composition is a liquid is from light brown to dark brown. Adhesive tech, well-applied to the surface of the substrate.

The strength of the bonding of the substrates when the stratification is assessed according to the GOST 6768-75. Table 2 shows the test results of adhesive compositions.

Have been investigated by various ratios of butadiene-styrene thermoplastic elastomers. Claimed within 25-75 parts by weight due to the fact that with the increase of these quantities bond strength decreases. It is established that the optimal ratio of butadiene-styrene thermoplastic elastomers linear and radial structure 75:25 parts by weight, respectively, which provides the best results.

SUBSTANCE: resin contains a main component and a modifier. The main component contains at least one colophony-based resinous substance, having circular and spherical softening temperature of about 85-125C. The modifier contains at least one colophony-based resinous substance having low softening temperature. The resin is characterised by circular and spherical softening temperature, with mean softening temperature of about 35-60C. The resin is part of the composition of the pressure-sensitive hot-melt adhesive, which has a first component which is at least one styrene-butadiene block-copolymer and a second component which is at least one styrene-isoprene-styrene block-copolymer or a mixture of styrene-isoprene-styrene and styrene-isoprene block-copolymers. The pressure-sensitive hot-melt adhesive composition is used for an adhesive article having a front surface made from paper and cardboard materials and materials made from polymer films.

SUBSTANCE: protective film includes a substrate layer and a pressure-sensitive adhesive composition. The substrate layer is preferably an extrudable substrate layer. The adhesive composition contains a block-copolymer, tackifying resin and, optionally, polyolefin, plasticiser and antioxidant. The block-copolymer contains at least two poly- or mono-vinylaromatic hydrocarbon blocks and at least one hydrogenated block of poly- or conjugated diene. The adhesive composition is obtained through dry mixture of components. The dry mixture is extruded and granulated in an underwater granulator to obtain wet granules. The wet granules are dried. The wet or dry granules can be treated with a powdering agent.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a composition of a hot melt pressure-sensitive adhesive (HMSPA), a laminated system and a pressure sensitive label containing said adhesive. The HMSPA composition contains: a) 30-50% mixture of styrene diblock- and triblock-copolymers, total content of the styrene monomer in the said mixture between 14 and 40%; b) 40-55% tackifying resin with melting point between 70 and 150C, obtained through hydrogenation, polymerisation or copolymerisation of mixtures of aliphatic unsaturated hydrocarbons containing approximately 5, 9 or 10 carbon atoms; c) 4-20% hydrocarbon coil containing less than 15% aromatic compounds; d) 1-6% filler selected from calcium carbonate or a homopolymer or a copolymer polyethylene with low molecular weight. The laminated system includes an adhesive layer consisting of HMPSA and a paper front material. The pressure sensitive label is made from the laminated system.

EFFECT: HMPSA composition provides low susceptibility to decolouration during storage of articles.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to compositions of hot-melt adhesive for non-woven materials and block-copolymers used therein. The invention discloses a hot-melt adhesive composition for use in non-woven articles, containing: (a) 100 pts. wt block-copolymer of formula [S-(I/B)]n-X, where S is mainly a polystyrene block, and (I/B) is a polymer block obtained through arbitrary copolymerisation of a mixture of mainly isoprene and butadiene in weight ratio between 70:30 and 30:70, n is an integer between 3 and 5, and X is a residue to an alkoxy silane binding agent, where the block-copolymer has melt flow index measured at 200C/5 kg between 0.1 and 12 g/10 min, content of polystyrene between 28 and 50 wt %, binding efficiency between 50 and 100%, (b) 250-300 pts. wt resin which increases adhesiveness, (c) 50-150 pts. wt plasticiser and (d) 0-3 pts. wt stabiliser and/or antioxidant. The invention also discloses a block-copolymer for preparing said composition.

EFFECT: composition has high cohesion and higher spraying capacity, which improves the technology of manufacturing non-woven articles.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to process engineering. Proposed tape is made from flexible self-adhesive bearing inner layer that features thermoplastic properties and is furnished with two-side coat. The latter is made from foamed adhesive tape with foam-like structure built on water dispersion of adhesive material (pure dispersion acrylate, adhesive material based on isobutyl vinyl ether or isobutene) with a filler representing minor thermoplastic gaseous-hydrocarbon-filled hollow spheres made from plastic that expand at temperature varying from 70C to 140C.

SUBSTANCE: glue composition contains at least two block polymers (i), tackifying resin (ii) and one or more plasticiser (iii). The component (i) includes at least one block polymer (i)(a) of formula A-I-A (1) or (A-I)nX (2) and at least one block polymer (i)(b) of formula A-(I/B)-A (3) or [A-(I/B)]n-X (4) whereat every A is independently polymer block of the aromatic vinyl compound, I is polyisoprene polymer block, every (I/B) is mixed block of random isoprene-butadiene polymer, n is integer number not less than 2, X is the radical of the curing agent, the total butadiene content in the component (i) is less than 20% wt. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to stable low-viscosity hot melt adhesive compositions, to special block copolymers used therein, and also to tapes and labels including said compositions. Objective of invention is to provide hot melt adhesive compositions having viscosity by 5% lower or higher than initial value when heated for 24 h at 177°C and having melt viscosity = 80 Pa·s at 177°C.
