Metal frame is made up of perforated rear plate and wire frame, rear plate length exceeding wire frame length and approximating to clamp length. Perforated rear plate has cutouts made in zones of lateral bosses.

EFFECT: ease of manufacture, ruling out rejects due to displacement and deformation of perforated rear plate in forming bosses.

The invention relates to railway transport, namely to the brake pads for rail vehicles.

The analogue of the claimed invention is containing side lugs train brake pad comprising a polymeric composite friction element and a metal frame made in the form of perforated Telnice and wire frame, where the length of Telnice greater than the length of the wire frame, and Telnic has the edges of the folds (see RF patent №64578, IPC VN 7/02, 2007). The task, which is aimed by the invention is the simplification of the manufacture of the pads and the elimination of the possibility of marriage due to the displacement and deformation of prettylink shaped and bosses.

To achieve the technical result in containing the lateral lugs of a brake pad of a rail vehicle, comprising a polymer composite friction element and a metal frame made in the form of perforated Telnice and wire frame, where the length of Telnice greater than the length of the wire frame and is close to the length of the pads, perforated tylenol performed with the notches in the lateral zones of the bosses.

SUBSTANCE: brake unit consists of rotating element and non-rotating brake component. The brake component consists of a rigid plate of the base, of an erasable friction material and of lugs projecting from the support plate in a layer of friction material. Each of lugs has an end in direct vicinity from surface of friction material. The ends of the lugs and external surface are simultaneously interact with contact surface of the rotating element, when the brake component transits into a position of braking for the first time. Friction material and the lugs together create friction force actuating the rotating element at the first contact between their surfaces. The procedure for actuation of the brake unit consists in driving the rotating element, in assembling the brake component in direct vicinity from the rotating element at a certain distance from contact surface, in actuating the brake component and in creating friction by bringing the ends of the lugs and external surface of friction material with contact surface of the rotating element into interaction. Thus friction material and the lugs facilitate generation of required friction force at the first interaction of their surfaces with contact surface of the rotating element.
