The present application for patent claims priority to provisional patent application U.S. No. 60/716 408, entitled "CUSTOMIZATION OF COMMON CHANNEL INFORMATION PER CONTENT RETAILER IN A PROGRAM GUIDE, AND FOR THE CONTENT PROVIDED FOR THE CHANNEL", filed September 12, 2005, the owner of which is the copyright holder of this document, and which is fully incorporated by reference in this document.

The level of technology

Disclosed embodiments of belonging mainly to the principle of distribution of content and, in particular, to a method and device providing and presenting a customized view of the channel in the distribution of multimedia information.

The invention

Detailed description

Subsequent detailed description describes one or more embodiments of the system content delivery. For example, fields or records associated with any information 20 and/or 28 can include at least one of: the names and descriptions associated with the given language; additional descriptions that provide more detail than the previously mentioned description; the associated universal resource identifier (URI SCPI) or univicion the aqueous resource locator (URL, CID), which refers to a source of more detailed information relating to the service; device type recommended to receive services; icon associated with the device type; icons for identification or representation services; start time; duration; genre; parent evaluation; introduction; the concluding part; advertising; large short title; data transmission via Internet Protocol; and any other attribute or descriptor associated with the service. In particular, combining this basic service 16 with one or more specific retailer additional views 48 and/or additional services 50 provides a unique view related to the channel information for each retailer.

Thus, the system 10 includes one variant of implementation of the transport system, which is made with the possibility of creating and transporting streams of multimedia content over a data network. For example, the transport system is suitable for use when transporting multimedia information from the content provider to the system distribution media for broadcast distribution. Advantageously, the system 10 allows retailers 22 content and/or providers 30 PBW to configure the gas services 16, to provide customized channels 26 that are configured conductors 40 views multimedia information and customized views 42 and 48 signed devices.

Any number of devices can work with the system 10 for receiving and playing back/displaying content and information about the content. The wireless device 36 is one such device and includes a device, such as a cellular phone, a personal digital assistant, a laptop computer and any other wireless device, configured to receive and playback/display of multimedia information. It should be noted, however, that in one or more embodiments, the implementation of the system 10 can be used in practically any number or any type of wired or wireless device that can play/display multimedia information.

In figure 1, each component of system 10 may have several specific roles that allow some functions to separate from other functions. It should be noted, however, that in any given implementation of the system 10 of any given component or organization can perform multiple roles.

In one embodiment, for example, the service provider 30 PBW contains a utility unit that provides services billing to the user and support the LCD subscribers on behalf of one or more retail sellers 24 content. Each device in the system 10, such as a wireless device 36 associated with one provider 30 PBW, for example, by agreement 52 about the subscription. SRMI 12 may contain optimized broadcast network is designed and optimized to deliver high-quality content on the selected device according to the multitude of optimized communication channels. Further, for example, SRMI 12 may include one or more servers 60 content, which store the previously mentioned multimedia information, data and records, together with logic and executable instructions to enable the functionality of SRMI 12. In one embodiment, for example, the server 60 of the content and/or SRME 12 include generator 62 messages system information (SI)having hardware and/or software, including pam is th the executable instructions and a processor configured to generate messages 44 C, based on the data on the server 60 content. As shown in figure 2, the message 44 C contains the set of information that allows the device to locate services or to subscribe to the packages on behalf of the user and describe information 66 on the market, information 68 about the service and information 70 about LISP user. Each LISP 40 is composed of a predetermined number of the blocks 72 LISP, which are relatively ordered based on their respective time 76 beginning. SUBSTANCE: adaptive advertisement method employs an advertisement system installed on a crowded place, where said system includes a video unit which captures an image of people falling in the field of view an creates their individual digital pictures, analyses their psychophysical reactions to information messages on the screen of the advertisement system. The decision block of the advertisement system counts the number of positive reactions for each information message and selects the most effective information message with characteristics which resulted in the highest number of positive reactions, and which is then transmitted to the advertisement device in constant operation mode.

EFFECT: design of an advertisement apparatus with real-time use of direct reaction of a person on what has been seen or listened to in a system for receiving and processing perception reaction.

SUBSTANCE: invention provides a method of distributing information content. The method involves reception of parametres which identify one or more compilers of information content packets associated with one or more providers. The method also involves reception of parametres of packet compilers which describe one or more packets associated with one or more compilers of information content packets. The method also involves generation of system information which contains "ФСОК" parametres and parametres of packet compilers, and transmission of system information.

SUBSTANCE: objects may be sorted into multiple strips based on their corresponding theme. Each strip may be created to denote a specific theme. The objects are sorted inside the corresponding strip partly based on a time parametre. A navigation tool enables navigation or search by browsing strips and objects in accordance with the required time parametre or time range. A user can alter the scale of the image and other search versions by viewing so as to browse desired objects with different levels of detail. Objects are displayed in form of thumbnails which are active. That way, content of any object may be modified directly using the thumbnails.

EFFECT: easier navigation and data management owing to use of a unique time scale-based navigation tool.
