Polyurethane adhesive composition

FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a polyurethane adhesive composition which can be used for gluing materials, concrete, leather, wood etc. The composition contains the following in pts. wt: 20-60 moulding polyurethane or wastes from production of moulding polyurethane, 80-40 ε-caprolactam, 5-50 isocyanate and 100-300 organic polar solvent.

EFFECT: composition increases adhesion strength of substrates, has low cost due to use of readily available and cheaper components, as well as reduced pollution of the environment due to recycling of wastes from production of moulding polyurethane.

Known to be the invention relating to a method for glue-based diisocyanate and epoxy resin, which can be used for bonding wood, fabric, cardboard, see RU Patent No. 2218377, IPC C09J 175/08, 2003.

Bond strength of this adhesive composition is insufficient, which does not allow to use it for gluing wood.

The adhesive composition based on polyurethane rubber, including urethane rubber DESMOCOLL based on polyesters, solvent, a stabilizing additive, based on the polyurethane, perhlorvinilova resin, epoxy resin, polyamine aliphatic series, polar organic solvent, see RU Patent No. 2271377, IPC C09J 175/06, 2006.

However, this composition does not allow to reach a high strength bonding of metals.

Closest to the invention to the technical essence is a polyurethane adhesive composition comprising a simple oligoether based on ethylene oxide and propylene oxide, and optionally contains N,N,N.N'-tetrahydroxyphenylchlorin and waste production flexible polyurethane foam, the isocyanate and an organic solvent in the following ratio of components, parts by weight:

Bond strength of this adhesive composition is insufficient, which does not allow to use it for bonding metals.

An object of the invention is to increase adhesive strength of the bonding.

The technical problem is solved in that the polyurethane adhesive composition comprising a polyurethane, the isocyanate and an organic polar solvent, according to the invention as a polyurethane contains injection molded polyurethane or waste production of molded polyurethane and optionally ε-caprolactam with the following ratio of components, parts by weight:

Technical solution allows to increase the adhesive bond strength of at separation 2 times, when the shift 1.5 times.

According to the invention using the following components: molded polyurethane brands SKU-OHM, MCS-6, MCS-PFL-100 on THE other 38.103137-78;

waste of molded polyurethane brands SKU-OHM, MCS-6, MCS-PFL-100 on THE other 38.103137-78 is molded, removing, defective product, product obsolete;

ε-caprolactam is used according to GOST 7850-86;

as the isocyanate component, the composition contains 2,4-toluylenediisocyanate - product brand 102-T TU 113-03-331-79, mixture of isomers 2,4 - and 2,6-toluylene diisocyanate in a ratio of 80:20 product brand KZT80 on THE 113-03-12-17-80, the polyisocyanate grade B - PIZ B on THE 113-03-29-22-81 etc.;

organic polar solvent, such as ethyl acetate according to GOST 8981-78, acetone according to GOST 2603-79.

The invention is illustrated by the following examples of specific performance.

Example 1. In a container equipped with a stirrer, download ε-caprolactam and pre-shredded waste of molded polyurethane. The mixture was stirred at 180°C for one hour to complete rest the rhenium polyurethane. After cooling, is poured with stirring polar organic solvent is ethyl acetate and then enter the isocyanate - 102-T.

The curing of the adhesive joint was performed at room temperature. Determine the strength of adhesive joints under uniform separation and shear in 3 days, respectively GOST 14760 and GOST 14759-69.

Example 2 and 3 is similar to example 1, the data in the table.

Example 4. In a container equipped with a stirrer, download ε-caprolactam and pre-shredded waste of molded polyurethane. The mixture was stirred at 180°C for one hour to dissolve the polyurethane. After cooling, is poured with stirring polar organic solvent is ethyl acetate and then enter the isocyanate - T 80/20.

The curing of the adhesive joint was performed at room temperature. Determine the strength of adhesive joints under uniform separation and shear in 3 days, respectively GOST 14760 and GOST 14759-69.

Example 5. In a container equipped with a stirrer, download ε-caprolactam and pre-shredded waste of molded polyurethane. The mixture was stirred at 180°C for one hour to dissolve the polyurethane. After cooling, is poured with stirring polar organic solvent is acetone and then enter the isocyanate - PIZ.

The curing of the adhesive joint was performed at room temperature. About Radelet strength of adhesive joints under uniform separation and shear in 3 days, respectively GOST 14760 and GOST 14759-69.

As can be seen from the examples of embodiment, the claimed composition can increase the adhesion strength of bonding with the disengagement of the 2 times, when the shift 1.5 times and has a lower cost compared with the prototype through the use of its available and cheaper components, such as molded polyurethane or waste production of molded polyurethane and ε-caprolactam, and reduces the environmental pollution due to waste disposal.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a composition which is used in rocket engineering, particularly for attaching solid-propellant charge to the rocket casing. The adhesive composition contains, pts. wt: 9.0 to 14.0 urethane rubber SUREL-9, 1.0 to 2.0 hardener TON-2, 60.0 to 70.0 solvent - ethyl acetate and, additionally, 4.0 to 9.0 nongranular technical carbon and 8.0 to 12.0 dibutyl phthalate. Solid propellant contains an oxidising agent, fuel, synthetic rubber-based binder which his plasticised with nitroglycerin, curing additives and catalysts.

EFFECT: proposed adhesive composition prevents diffusion of plasticiser from fuel contact layers, that way providing for excellent physical and mechanical properties, as well as adhesion properties during prolonged storage.

SUBSTANCE: water dispersion contains polyurethane dispersion and water dispersion of silicon dioxide. Polyurethane dispersion has the average size particle of polyurethane polymer in the range from 60 to 350 nm. The water dispersion of silicon dioxide has SiO2 particles diametre from 20 to 400 nm. Polymer dispersions are used as glues for gluing of any substrates same or different type.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to producing water-soluble melt adhesive, which can be widely used in cardboard and paper industry for gluing and laminating cardboard, as well as for making joints of not less than two layers of paper, used for making toilet paper. The water-soluble melt adhesive contains 40-70 wt.% of not less than one homopolymer or copolymer with free carboxylate groups based on monomers with unsaturated ethylene bonds (component A), 15-45 wt % of not less than one water-soluble or polyurethane dispersed in water (component B), 12-35 wt % of not less than one alkanolamine (component C) and 0-20 wt % target additives.

EFFECT: obtained melt adhesives have high viscosity, elasticity and high strength of adhesive bonds on packages at low temperatures during storage of products, and at high temperatures the adhesive does not soften and does not flow.

SUBSTANCE: invention is related to compositions used for binding of glass or plastic with the help of polyurethane adhesive. Technical task - development of composition that makes system together with polyurethane adhesive for durable connection of glass or plastic with structure. Composition is suggested, which contains a) one or several organic compounds - titanates having four ligands, where ligands represent hydrocarbyl, which may not contain one or several functional groups, having one or several heteroatoms selected from group that includes oxygen, nitrogen, phosphorous and sulfur, where two or more ligands may create cyclic structure; b) one or several mercapto silanes; c) one or several polyaminosilanes; d) one or several secondary aminosilanes and e) dissolvent that dissolves composition components. SUBSTANCE: proposed composition includes heterocyclic silicon compound containing at least one alcohol-orthosilicate group and cross-linking agent interacting with hydroxylic groups. Proposed composition has low content of volatile organic solvents and is hardened at temperature of 5°C ; hardened composition contains no unreacted low-molecular blocking agents which are likely to evolve into surrounding atmosphere at hardening or during operation. Besides that, ratio of life to time to drying time is favorable. Proposed composition may be used for finishing and secondary finishing of automobiles and large transport facilities; it may be also used as an adhesive.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to two-component composition used to initiate curing of one or more polymerizable monomers that are cured when affected by free radicals, which composition consists of organoborane-amino complex and an isocyanate capable of destroying organoborane-amino complex, wherein equivalent ratio of amine nitrogen atoms to boron atoms ranges from more than 4.0:1 to 20.0:1. In another embodiment of invention, subject of invention is two-component composition for use as sealing materials, coatings, primers for modifying polymer surfaces, and as molded resins, which composition consists of component 1: organoborane-amino complex wherein ratio of amine nitrogen atoms to boron atoms ranges from more than 4.0:1 to 20.0:1; component 2: one or more monomers, oligomers, or polymers having olefinic instauration, which are able of being subjected to free-radical polymerization; and effective amount of an isocyanate, which can initiate dissociation of complex to free borane for initiation of polymerization of one or more monomers, oligomers, or polymers having olefinic instauration, provided that complex dissociation initiator is stored separately from complex until initiation of polymerization becomes desirable. Such compositions are handling safe, i.e. they are not self-inflammable, stable at or near ambient temperature and so they do not initiate polymerization at or near ambient temperature in absence of complex dissociation initiator. Polymerized composition show good cohesion and adhesion strength. Described are polymerizable composition polymerization process, method of gluing two or more substrates using polymerizable composition; method of modifying polymer surface having low surface energy using polymerizable composition, as well as coating and laminate containing polymerizable composition.

FIELD: building materials.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a hardening composition used in building industry. The composition comprising a polymer with two or more thiol groups per a molecule, compound with two or more isocyanate groups per a molecule, carbon black and calcium carbonate involves additionally a filling agent wherein silicic acid or silicate is the main component or organic filling agent wherein ground powdered carbon as the main component. The composition shows satisfactory stability in storing the basic compound and the hardening capacity even after storing the basic compound and, except for, it forms the hardened join with sufficient rupture strength limit, hardness and properties of barrier for gas. The composition comprises a hydrocarbon plasticizer and an organometallic compound preferably that provides highly effective hardening properties in combination with higher mechanical strength and properties of barrier for gas. Proposed hardening composition can be used as sealing material in manufacturing isolating glasses, frames, windows for transportation means, glues and covers.

FIELD: polymer materials.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to polymer compositions including at least one polyurethane prepolymer A with isocyanate terminal groups obtained from at least one polyisocyanate with at least one polyol A1 and, if necessary, with at least one polyol A2. wherein A1 is linear polyoxyalkylenepolyol with unsaturation degree ,less than 0.04 m-equ/g; A2 is polyol, which is present in amount 0-30%, preferably 0-20%, in particular 0-10% based on total amount A1+A2; and at least one polyaldimine B. Composition is a mixture of polyurethane prepolymer A with polyaldimine B. In absence of moisture, such compositions are stable on storage. When being applied, such compositions are brought into contact with moisture, after which polyaldimines are hydrolyzed into aldehydes and polyamines, and polyamines react with polyurethane prepolymer containing isocyanate groups. Products obtained from such composition possess very wide spectrum of properties, including tensile strength varying within a range from 1 to 20 MPa and ultimate elongation above 1000%. Composition may be used as glue, hermetic, coating, or facing.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to polyurethane composition used as a protective coating. The composition contains the following in pts. wt: 770 - polytetramethylene etherglycol with molecular weight of 1950, 200 - 4,4'-diphenylmethanediisocyanate, 80-100 - dimethylformamide, 36 - hydroxyl-containing compound, 100-120 - methylphosphite borate and 15-18 - glycidalmethacrylate. A prepolymer is synthesised first as an initial component by reacting polytetramethylene etherglycol and 4,4'-diphenylmethanediisocyanate in molar ratio OH:NCO-groups equal to 1:2.

EFFECT: composition has better complex properties, specifically high fire- and heat resistance and good physical and mechanical properties, eg high strength and extensibility.

SUBSTANCE: composition contains the following in pts. wt: 100 - triglyceride 12-hydroxy-cis-9 octadecenic acid (technical product of castor oil), 38.0-30.0 - toluene diisocyanate isomers, 2.7-30.0 - diethyleneglycol urethane and 0.1-1.0 - product of co-hydrolysis of methyltrichlorosilane with dimethyldichlorosilane. SUBSTANCE: described is a polyol composition containing polyol (a) and fine resin particles (b), dispersed in the polyol (a), where the fine resin particles (b) are polymer particles obtained by polymerising an ethylene unsaturated monomer (d) and content of particles with diametre of not less than 10 mcm in the fine polymer particles (b) is not greater than 2 vol %. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a thermoplastic elastomer composition with high melt strength, to a method of making moulded elastomer objects and to moulded elastomer objects, made from the said composition. The composition contains at least one linear crystalline polyolefin and at least one compatible thermoplastic elastomer or a mixture of one or more styrene block copolymers with a thermoplastic and/or plasticiser. The polyolefin has melting point of at least 100° C and polydispersity index (PI) greater than 20, determined through isothermal dynamic frequency sweep at 190°C and calculated from the equation PI = 100000/Gc, where Gc is expressed in pascals and is the modulus at the point of intersection (Gc=G'=G"), and the thermoplastic elastomer or mixture has compression set below 50%, determined at ambient temperature 24 hours after compression on ASTM D395-03.

EFFECT: obtaining a composition which can be used in processes which include a stage for unsupported stretching while the composition is molten, such as foaming, film blowing, fibre drawing, blow moulding, profile extrusion and hot moulding.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in aerospace, automobile industry, in making optical lenses, surface modifiers of glass fibre. In accordance with the invention, the method involves the following stages: mixing a precursor polymer solution with a precursor nanostructure, with formation of a mixture; formation of a nanostructure in a mixture from the nanostructure precursor; and formation of a polymer from the precursor polymer solution so that, nanostructures are introduced into the polymer matrix. The precursor polymer solution can be polyvinyl alcohol, polyvinylbutyral, poly[bis(diethyleneglycol)diallylcarbonate], trimethylolpropane, methylene-bis(4-cyclohexylisocyanate), thiodiethanol. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to producing water-soluble melt adhesive, which can be widely used in cardboard and paper industry for gluing and laminating cardboard, as well as for making joints of not less than two layers of paper, used for making toilet paper. The water-soluble melt adhesive contains 40-70 wt.% of not less than one homopolymer or copolymer with free carboxylate groups based on monomers with unsaturated ethylene bonds (component A), 15-45 wt % of not less than one water-soluble or polyurethane dispersed in water (component B), 12-35 wt % of not less than one alkanolamine (component C) and 0-20 wt % target additives.

SUBSTANCE: invention concerns multicomponent local foam system for obtaining foam polyurethanes for local construction purposes, consisting of polyisocyanate (component A), and polyene containing water (component B), stored in separate containers, and epoxy resin based on bisphenol A and bisphenol F, and/or siloxane forpolymer with average mol weight from 200 g/mol to 10000 g/mol with reactive end alcoxy groups (component C), generic catalyst for polyurethane generation reaction and/or generic binding agent for siloxane forpolymer (component D) in spatially divided form, and optional filler, one or more colourants or pigments and generic additives. When mixed, the components of foam system form interpenetrating polymer mesh structure out of foamed polyurethane and at least one other polymer, with excellent adhesion to adjoining wall material, thus reducing water penetration or forming mechanically stable cork in case of fire to render resistance to fire. Claimed foam system is foaming and solidifying in severe conditions on construction site, e.g. at temperatures from 0°C to 40°C, and non-homogeneously filling of volume.

The offered composition for production of the polymeric structural materials contains 100 mass % of a low-molecular quick-tenacious polymer with the terminal hydroxyl groups, 22.5-400 mass % of aromatic diisocyanate, 0.08-20 mass % of dimethylbenzylamine, 0.8-20 mass % of epoxydiane resins, 55-30 mass % of acetone, 2.0-22.5 mass % of a high-porous polymeric filler. At that in the capacity of the indicated polymeric filler they use a flexible polyurethane foam or a synthetic felt material (sintepone - synthetic winterizer). From the indicated composition by an industrial method for a short cycle of hot pressing produce polymeric items with a gradient modulus of elasticity (in any given direction) from 3 up to 2000 MPa. At that the material saves its elastic properties at any value of the modulus in the interval of temperatures from -50 up to 120°C, and may be used in shoe industry and tire industry, instrument-making industry and radio industry.

EFFECT: the invention allows to produce polymeric items with a gradient modulus of elasticity in any given direction within 3 up to 2000 Mpa, the material saves its elastic properties at any value of the modulus at temperatures of -50 °C up to 120°C.
