Polymer sealing composition for waterproofing

FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of waterproofing materials in form of profiled objects - cords, meant for sealing joints in unit construction and which provide for waterproofing through fast water regain. The polymer sealing composition contains, wt %: polymer - synthetic ethylene-propylene triple rubber - 23.78-86-80, natural bentonite - 8.68-71.34, sodium carbonate - 0.09-2.38, titanium white - 2.38-4.34 and colouring pigment - 0.09-0.12.

EFFECT: increased degree of water regain, resistance to effect of atmospheric factors, increased frost- and ozone resistance, cohesion strength and elasticity after the material dries.

The invention relates to the chemical industry, in particular the production of waterproofing materials in the form of specialized products (cords)designed for sealing joints in modular construction and provides waterproofing through a rapid swelling in water.

Known layered cross-linked material [German Patent No. 2059034 from 27.04.1996, IPC EV 3/16 "laminate"], containing in its composition as swellable filler bentonite sodium.

The disadvantage of this material is rather complicated method of application, requiring mechanical fixation of the joint. In case of mechanical damages bentonite crumbles and wakes up from layers. It should also be noted that the fabric base when in prolonged contact with the swollen material is quickly destroyed and can not withstand cyclic loads at the drop of humidity and temperature.

Known polymer composition that contains Portland cement, sodium bentonite, lignosulfonate, and other components [Patent of Russia №2193634 from 27.11.2002, IPC EV 1/62 "Waterproofing polymer mixture"].

The disadvantage of this material is the way it is applied in the form of a soft mastic, followed by curing. Under cyclic loads during differential humidity and temperatures similar sealant on the basis of the e cement cracked and not completely reliable.

As the closest analogue is treated polymer composition for roofing materials [Patent of Russia №1781250 from 15.12.1992, IPC C08L 23/22 "Polymer composition for roofing materials"], comprising a polymer is butyl rubber, bentonite, pigment (dye) in the specified amounts.

The technical problem of the invention is to develop a formulation of a polymeric sealing composition for sealing, providing a high degree of swelling in water, resistance to weathering, high frost and ozone resistance, cohesive strength and elasticity after drying the material.

For the technical solution proposed polymeric sealing composition comprising a polymer, bentonite and a coloring pigment, in which the new is the purpose of the material, as well as that for the preparation of compositions are used as synthetic polymer ternary ethylene-propylene rubber (Sept), as bentonite is a natural bentonite and additionally sodium carbonate and titanium oxide at the next selection of the ratio of ingredients, wt.%:

The technical result of the invention consists in the stability of the sealing material to weathering, frost and otnositelnosti, cohesive strength and elasticity after drying the sealing material.

The use of SKEPT provides the necessary cohesive strength, elastic, adhesive properties of polymeric sealing material. The use of natural bentonite and soda ash provides a high degree of swelling of the material within a short period of time. For the first three hours of material swells up to 60% and during the day up to 200% when fully immersed in water.

In contrast to the developed waterproofing material does not require special sophisticated equipment for installation is flexible, does not crumble and will not spall in case of mechanical damages, and when it was manufactured with environmentally friendly materials and technologies.

Color waterproof cord made of the proposed material can be used for sealing horizontal and vertical "x is cold and structural joints in the concrete underground structures, places of passage of engineering communications in monolithic concrete structures. Due to the bright contrasting colors it can be clearly seen during installation, allowing you to easily control the quality of works during installation. Due to the composition of the polymer sealing compositions waterproofing cord retains flexibility at low temperatures to -20°C and is able to swell in water more than twice, even after two hundred cycles swelling/drying with intermediate freezing.

Method of preparation of polymeric sealing composition for waterproofing is carried out as follows.

On a technical scale weigh rubber and other ingredients; the container is placed 71,34 wt.% natural bentonite, a type of 2.38 wt.% sodium carbonate and activation of bentonite by dry method; roll 23,78 wt.% rubber, then add the activated bentonite, 2.38 wt.% titanium oxide and 0.12 wt.% pigment dye; the mixture is cooked for 15 minutes and removed in the form of a sheet; the resulting rubber mixture is cooled down and cut into strips; release the sealing cord with a diameter of 10 mm on the syringe machine at 60°C.

The composition is prepared with the following choice of the ratio of ingredients:

The method is illustrated by the following examples.

Example 1. To prepare 1 kg (100 wt%) rubber mixture on a technical scale weigh 0,87 kg (86.8 wt.%) Sept, 0,087 kg (8,68 wt.%) natural bentonite, 0,0009 kg (0.09 wt.%) sodium carbonate, 0,043 kg (2.38 wt%) titanium dioxide and 0,0009 kg (0.09 wt.%) pigment dye. Activation of natural bentonite carried out by a dry process in the vessel with the addition of sodium carbonate. Polymeric sealing composition is prepared on a roll mill at a temperature of 55°C. First roll rubber for 5 minutes, then add the activated bentonite, a mixture of rolls 3 minutes, then add titanium oxide and pigment coloring. The total duration of mixing is 10 minutes. Obtained in the form of sheet rubber mixture is cooled down and cut into strips. Sealing cord with a diameter of 10 mm are produced on the syringe machine at 60°C.

For the obtained sealing cord is defined by the following characteristics: the degree of swelling in water, cohesive paragraph shall echnosti, and are subjected to cyclic testing of swelling/drying and swelling/drying with intermediate freezing at -20°C.

Example 2. Preparation of polymeric sealing composition with a maximum amount (wt.%) substances similar to example 1, with the following ratio of ingredients: Sept - 23,78; natural bentonite - 71,34; sodium carbonate - 2,38; titanium oxide - 4,34; pigment pigment - 0,12. Due to the increased dosage of fillers mixing time increased to 15 minutes. The obtained sealing cord is analyzed analogously to example 1. The data analysis presented in the table.

The degree of swelling of the composition was determined for days at 20°C at full immersion of the sample in water. The cycle of swelling/drying is a process of swelling of the sample for three days at a temperature of 20°C, then drying over night at 20°C. Intermediate freezing was carried out within days at -20°C after swelling in water.

According to the data given in the table, the proposed polymeric sealing composition for waterproofing meets the requirements of a high degree of swelling in water, a high cohesive strength and can withstand up to two hundred cycles swelling/drying with intermediate freezing.

The proposed polymeric sealing composition for waterproofing ensures a high degree of swelling in water, resistance to weathering, high frost and ozone resistance, cohesive strength and elasticity after drying the material.

Polymeric sealing composition comprising a polymer, entanet and a coloring pigment, characterized in that for the preparation of the composition is used as a polymer synthetic ethylene-propylene rubber, SKEPT as bentonite is a natural bentonite and additionally sodium carbonate and titanium oxide at the next selection of the ratio of ingredients, wt.%:

SUBSTANCE: proposed paste contains non-equilibrium content alloy powder with excess metal, capable of diffusion hardening and thermal reaction when heated with gallium. Gallium, saturated with nitrogen at pressure of not less than 5 MPa and temperature equal to melting point of gallium, is used in the paste. Minimum weight content of gallium is between 30% and 60%. SUBSTANCE: invention refers to adhesive polymer composite material, method of production thereof, product keeping its shape, and hermetic or adhesive composition containing mentioned composite material used in automotive engineering, constructional engineering, wood working, printing industry, footwear industry, as well as in sealing materials and insulation substance. The task in view is solved due to application of polymer composite including at least one hydrogenated or nonhydrogenated polymer nitrile rubber with Mooney viscosity (ML 1+4 at 100°C) less than 30 at least one cross-linking agent or vulcanizing system, and if required at least one bulking agent. EFFECT: produced goods have high mechanical qualities in combination with chemical and fire resistance to it to be used in extreme conditions influenced by aggressive environment, toxic chemical and propellant components.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to making a moulded product for handling clean-room materials, intermediate products or end products, such as a container, a tray and a tool. The moulded product is made of resin compound prepared by mixing in melt cycloolefine polymer (A) 100 weight fractions chosen from the group including bicyclo[2.2.1]-2-heptene and its derivatives, tricyclo [4,3,0,12,5]-3-decene and its derivatives, and tetracyclo[4,4,0,12,5,17,10]-3-dodecene and its derivatives of vitrification temperature within 60 to 200°C, and amorphous or low-crystalline elastic copolymer (B(b1)) 1 to 150 weight fractions. Copolymer (B(b1)) is polymerised from at least two monomers chosen from the group including ethylene and a-olefin with 3 to 20 carbon atoms and vitrification temperature 0°C or lower. The compound contains radical polymerisation initiator 0.001 to 1 weight fractions containing peroxide, and polyfunctional compound (D) 0 to 1 weight fractions. The compound (D) has at least two radical-polymerised functional groups chosen from the group including vinyl group, allylic group, acrylic group and methacrylic group in a molecule.

EFFECT: clean-room moulded product is characterised with good chemical stability, heat resistance and dimensional accuracy, it prevents volatile component release in the surrounding space, has good abrasion resistance and prevents particle formation.

SUBSTANCE: composition contains propylene polymer 60 to 85 % with wide chain-length distribution of polydispersity index 5 to 15 and melt flow rate speed 40 to 75 g/10 min, specified according to ASTM-D 1238, provision L, at 230°C under load 2.16 kg and partially xylene-soluble polyolefin rubber 15 to 40 % containing ethylene propylene copolymer containing at least ethylene 65 wt % and xylene-insoluble components approximately 25-40 wt % specified at 25°C. Polyolefin composition is characterised with good balance of mechanical properties, particularly improved balance of bending elastic modulus and impact strength even at low temperatures, e.g., at -30°C, and also low heat settings.

EFFECT: specified property ensures high dimensional stability to the products made of polyolefin composition according to the present invention.

SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a polyethylene composition with multimodal molecular weight distribution, which is specially suitable for blow moulding large containers with volume ranging from 10 to 150 dm3 (l). The composition has density which ranges from 0.949 to 0.955 g/cm3 at 23°C and melt flow rate (MFR190/5) from 0.1 to 0,3 dg/min. The composition contains from 38 to 45 wt % homopolymer of ethylene A with low molecular weight, from 30-40 wt %, copolymer B with high molecular weight, obtained from ethylene and another 1-olefin, containing 4 to 8 carbon atoms, and from 18 to 26 wt % copolymer C with ultra-high molecular weight. The composition has Izod impact strength with notch (from ISO) from 30 to 60 kJ/m2 and resistance to bursting under stress (FNCT) from 60 to 110 hours.

EFFECT: large blow moulded objects made from the composition have high mechanical strength.

SUBSTANCE: thermoplastic elastomeric composition contains polypropylene, polyethylene, triple ethylene-propylene-diene copolymer, sulfur, primary and secondary vulcanisation accelerators, stearic acid and zinc oxide. Rubber crumb and bitumen are introduced into composition additionally. Combination of components in definite ratio improves rheological properties of composition and, correspondingly its processability.

EFFECT: high-strength products, of high ozone and atmosphere stability, resistance, can be practically fully utilised after expiry of product life.

FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: present invention pertains to a method of obtaining a resin composition. Description is given of the method of obtaining a resin composition through mixture in a molten mass of 100 weight parts of cyclic olefin polymer (A), whose glass transition temperature ranges from 60 and 200°C, and 1-150 weight parts of elastic polymer (B), with glass transition temperature 0°C or lower. Part of the cyclic olefin polymer (A) is first mixed in a molten mass with elastic polymer (B) and 0.001-1 weight parts of radical polymerisation initiator (C). The remaining cyclic olefin polymer (A) is then added and mixed in the molten mass. The ratio of the quantity of cyclic olefin polymer (A), initially added, to the quantity of the same polymer added later (initially added/added later) ranges from 1:99 to 70:30. Cyclic olefin polymer (A) is divided into two parts and added separately twice, such that, the mixture with a cross-linked structure can be diluted with cyclic olefin polymer (A), without a cross-linked structure. As a result, increase in the viscosity of the molten resin composition can be prevented.

EFFECT: good abrasion resistance and good moulding properties of the molten mass.

SUBSTANCE: proposed composition consists of a semi-finished product and a hardener of polyisocyanate biuret No 31. The semi-finished product has the following ratio of components, in wt pts.: 42.0-55.4 epoxy-melamine-polyester lacquer "ЭП-074" with 55.4% content of non-volatile substances, 33.3-40.8 white titanium pigment TiO2 with rutile structure, 1.4-5.8 synthetic aerosil silica A-175 and 4.0-5.2 talcon MM-20 microtalc as filler, 4.7-19.0 P-189 solvent. The hardener is taken in quantity of 8-13.5 wt.pts per 100 wt pts of semi-finished product. The system of anticorrosion coating comprises a top layer, intermediate layer and a bottom layer. The top and intermediate layers of the system are made from the above mentioned composition. The bottom layer of the system is made from epoxide base coating material "ВГ-33", which contains specularite pigment.

EFFECT: invention increases adhesion to steel at low hardening temperature, impact strength and elasticity, increases the service life of the coating system.
