Integrated treatment method of chronic tonsillitis

FIELD: medicine; physiotherapy.

SUBSTANCE: 0.5% dihydroquercetine solution in amount 3 ml is introduced in lacuna cavity of palatine tonsils. Then palatine tonsil surface is exposed with distal end of flexible light guide of light-emitting diode device "АФС/К". Exposure is carried out at wavelength 0.63-0.64 mcm, maximum output power of radiation is 120 mWt. Diameter of light spot is within 3 to 5 cm. Duration of exposure is 5 minutes for each tonsil. Course of treatment is 5 sessions.

EFFECT: method provides deep penetration and fast absorption dihydroquercetine solution by surface of palatine tonsils mucous membrane due to exposure of light-emitting diode radiation of red light spectrum.

The invention relates to medicine, namely to physiotherapy treatment of chronic tonsillitis with led phototherapy in combination with the antioxidant in otorhinolaryngology.

There is a method local magnetic-laser therapy (MLT) in the treatment of chronic tonsillitis [1].

The method of local magnetic-laser therapy (MLT) is carried out in two models: AMO-ATOS - magnetotherapy traveling magnetic field with the installation of the radiator on sacilotto region and LAST-ENT laser on faringealni technique. The nature of the effect is stable, the exposure time 3-5 min on each amygdala, the rate of 10-12 days.

The disadvantages are the counterpart:

1. The effect of laser therapy is not effective without the simultaneous application of it with antibiotics, sulfonamides, desensibilisation and other means.

2. Laser physiotherapy is carried out at a low intensity radiation, which leads to the later normalization of biochemical parameters of blood in patients with chronic tonsillitis, as a criterion for effective treatment.

As a prototype method taken led phototherapy in the treatment of diseases of the ear, nose and throat [2]. Carried out led therapy device ASF in the treatment of allergic rhinitis as when using projection techniques impact the skin of the external nose and the area of projection of its sinuses, and endonasal, irradiating the mucous membrane of the nasal cavity and nasopharynx.

The disadvantages of the prototype are:

1. The radiation of the led apparatus ASF different wavelength affects the skin of the projection area of the maxillary sinus and the maxillary sinus is almost impossible because of the powerful obstacles in front of the led radiation in the form of her facial bone wall.

The purpose of this invention is to develop a method for deeper penetration and rapid absorption by the surface of the mucous membrane of the tonsils drug with antioxidant (0.5% solution of dihydroquercetin) under the influence of the red spectrum of light while led phototherapy apparatus ASF/chronic tonsillitis.

This objective is solved by the fact that previously been filling in the gaps of the Palatine tonsils (6-8 gaps) 0.5% solution of dihydroquercetin in volume of 3 ml with subsequent illumination of the surface of the mucous membrane of the tonsils distal end of the flexible light guide led apparatus ASF/K with wavelength 0.63-of 0.64 μm, a maximum output radiation power of 120 mW, the diameter of the light spot when the illumination of the mucous membrane of the tonsils from 3 to 5 cm, the exposure duration 5 minutes per amygdala, the course of treatment was 5 session is in the red spectrum of light.

Specific example

The study included 12 patients aged from 23 to 54 years old with chronic tonsillitis.

Example. Patient K., 37 years old, was hospitalized in the ENT Department of OCB with a diagnosis of Chronic tonsillitis, asthma form. Peritonsillar abscess on the right. Patient after remitting reactive phenomena of the peritonsillar tissue on a background of traditional treatment was implemented method of filling in the gaps of the Palatine tonsils (6-8 gaps) 0.5% solution of dihydroquercetin in volume of 3 ml with subsequent illumination of the surface of the mucous membrane of the tonsils distal end of the flexible light guide led apparatus ASF/K with wavelength 0.63-of 0.64 μm, a maximum output radiation power of 120 mW, the diameter of the light spot from 3 to 5 cm, the exposure duration 5 minutes per amygdala, the course of treatment was 5 sessions red spectrum of light. The procedure is performed in the examination room.

Concurrent with the led phototherapy surface of the Palatine tonsils conducted a study of biochemical parameters of blood to assess the effectiveness of the treatment in comparison with patients who were blood electrophoresis with CaCl in the submandibular region (table 1).

Dihydroquercetin and led phototherapy helped reduce inflammation in the tonsils, which was confirmed by the inhibition of processes of lipid peroxidation and increased levels of the antioxidant protection of tissues (table 2).
