FIELD: manual data input devices, possible use for building unified control panels of various data processing systems.

SUBSTANCE: keyboard represents a panel, on which a set of structurally independent units, required for certain use, is positioned. Each unit contains a matrix of buttons of certain functional purpose and corresponding controller. All matrix controllers are connected to each other by common serial synchronous interface, and all except one are slave interfaces, and generate information about condition of buttons. One controller of a set combines functions of slave and master, generates scan-codes of its matrix, and also on basis of information about scan-codes of all matrices of a set generates codes for transmission into personal computer. In another variant of realization, keyboard contains an additional controller, which performs functions of a master relatively to slave controllers of a set of matrices and ensures transformation of matrix codes according to protocol of exchange with personal computer.

The claimed technical solution relates to a manual input devices and can be used to build a unified control panels of different data processing systems.

Known keyboard that contains a set of buttons, a matrix which includes areas alphanumeric, functional and zone control buttons, and the controller matrix, generating the scan codes and deliver information about the state of the buttons and style buttons to the CPU of a computer in accordance with the interface (see, for example, patent RF № 2214619 MCI G06F 3/00, keyboard E TO for es 184).

Known keyboard, typically in the desktop version are generic and contain a large number of buttons, some of which may not be involved in a particular application. These keyboards are quite expensive and do not provide optimal conditions for continuous operation of the operator.

The task of reducing and simplifying the universal keyboard is solved in different ways, for example by using the multifunction buttons with interchangeable characters on the buttons (see RF patent № 2214619, MKI G 06 F 3/00), replacing groups of buttons compact manipulator (see RF patent № 2088964, MKI G06F 3/02), performing desktop keyboard with interchangeable set of buttons mounted in a permanent basis with set to the bars, switches etc. (RF patent No. 2235534, MKI G06F 3/02, NM 11/00), the implementation of structural desktop keyboard in the form of a set of detachable parts (EP No. 0773493, 0898221, MKI G06F 3/02).

Closest to the technical essence adopted for the prototype is the keyboard that contains the controller, the buttons and the panel for mounting (see description to the patent of Russian Federation № 2214619, MKI G06F 3/00).

Disadvantages keyboard - complexity and high cost of modification for use in a variety of input devices unified remotes.

Standard unified remote usually consists of a unified personal computers, unified display device and the universal keyboard, but using the universal keyboard is undesirable, since the input device, data of different remotes should differ in appearance and reflect the specifics of the console.

The purpose of the proposed technical solution is the creation of a technical keyboard low cost, providing the possibility of a simple configuration keyboards for unified remotes for various purposes.

This problem can be solved in two ways.

The first option in the keyboard that contains the controller, the buttons and the panel for their fastening, button field contains N matrices, interconnected with the respective controllers, the N-1 controllers common synchronous serial interface between themselves and with the N-th controller, the output which is the output of the keyboard, and each matrix of buttons and corresponding controller is implemented in a standalone form factor, connected with the keyboard panel.

In the second option in the keyboard that contains the controller, the buttons and the panel for their fastening, button field contains a set of matrices associated with the respective controllers, a common synchronous serial interface between themselves and with the additional controller whose output is the output of the keyboard, with each matrix of buttons and corresponding controller is implemented in a standalone form factor, connected with the keyboard panel.

This embodiment allows complete keyboard different remotes input data of a required set of Autonomous matrices without any additional expenditure of time and money. Unified remotes such equipment is based on a single design, mating with other devices directly to the computer, the display device). We offer the keypad can be performed also in a desktop form factor.

Figure 1 shows the principle layout of the keyboard, figure 2, 3 - functional diagram of the two keypad options.

The keyboard consists of panel 1, which strengthened set of N structurally independent nodes, each cat is, which contains a matrix of buttons 2, built-in controller 3 and the means of attachment of the node to the panel 1, for example, the base 4 (Fig 1), to which is attached the matrix 2 and the controller 3. Fastening may be accomplished in other ways, for example in the form of racks, securing the site into a special socket in the panel. The inputs of the survey and the signal outputs of each matrix buttons 2 is connected to the controller 3 (2, 3).

Each matrix of buttons 2 has its own function, and a specific set of matrices is determined by the requirements to the appropriate input devices.

In the first embodiment, the keyboard (see figure 2) (N-1) controllers 3 are driven and connected by inputs and outputs through a common synchronous serial interface 5 to the N-th controller 3, which with respect to (N-1) controllers is a leading and simultaneously performs the functions of the slave controller for my matrix 2.

In the second embodiment (Fig 3) is leading an additional controller 6 connected through a common synchronous serial interface 5 for all N controllers, which is the slave. In this embodiment, the master controller is not included in the construction site and can be installed on the panel 1, and in any other place remote control using the keyboard.

The keyboard is implemented on the basis chip type AT89S8252 firm "Atmel" using sinhronnogo the four-wire serial interface type SPL, hardware support which is included in the specified chip. The SPL interface has the following signal lines:

MISO input serial data master output slave

MOS1 - output serial data master input slave

SCK - chain synchronization: output master input slave.

All slave controllers 3 included in the keyboard, are connected to the signal lines in parallel. The communication speed (clock frequency) is set by the master (N-th controller 3, figure 2, or by the controller 6, figure 3) and is equal to about 100 Kbit/s.

The keyboard works in the following way. When power is applied by the operator on all controllers leading nth controller 3 or 6 starts polling all slave controllers 3 and is in constant expectation operator actions (clicking a button).

Depending on the state of the buttons of a particular matrix line on the leading N-th controller 3 (controller or 6 in the second embodiment) receives a data packet describing the current state of the buttons of the controller 3.

From the information received, the leading N-th controller 3 or formerum codes transmitted in the control computer in accordance with the Protocol specified by the operator when programming the controller.

Keyboard modules of second group are disposed within range of movement of thumb. Several functions of keyboard are brought in coincidence.
