FIELD: internal representation of user interface elements.

SUBSTANCE: simplified form of representation of user interface element is provided, where component element of user interface looks like one element. During determining various units for representing user interface may be marked as displayed by choice. Such units displayed by choice may be ignored when conducting operations using simplified form. Respectively, programmers may write code, which is not required to consider complexity of component element of user interface. Simplified form may support embedded elements of user interface, having corresponding units displayed by choice.

1. A method of processing a query operation on a hierarchical representation of the user interface element, and the method comprises the steps:

accept the request to perform the above operations;

perform the above operation on a simplified view of the hierarchical representation,

the indicated node is not present in simplified form.
