Mode of manufacturing and quality control of technical rubber articles for a gas centrifuge and a cascade of communications for gas centrifuges

FIELD: the invention refers to the mode of manufacturing of technical rubber articles for vacuum systems namely of rubber with reduced humidity permeability resistant to fluoride elements and fluoric hydrogen applied in a gas centrifuge.

SUBSTANCE: the mode of manufacturing and quality control of technical rubber articles for a gas centrifuge and a cascade of communications for gas centrifuges is in shaping of articles out of rubber mixture, vulcanization of technical rubber articles, drying and control. The drying is fulfilled in the conditions of high temperature vacuum at temperature of 0,6-1 from the maximum permissible temperature of exploitation and at pressure of no more then 0,08 mm of the mercury column (10 Pa) during 1-4 days for removal of volatile components of the mixture. The quality control is conducted in relation of a mass of products of gassing collected in a low temperature trap cooled by liquid nitrogen to the total mass of technical rubber articles.

EFFECT: the mode provides reduction of quantity of volatile admixtures removed from technical rubber articles in the process of exploitation of a gas centrifuge and provides quality control of the material of technical articles out of rubber.

The invention relates to a method of manufacturing rubber products for vacuum systems, in particular for rubbers with low moisture permeability, resistant to gaseous fluorides of elements and hydrogen fluoride used in the gas centrifuge.

The principal requirements for mechanical rubber goods (MRG), which are used for sealing joints in gas centrifuges are:

the possibility of use in vacuum systems - low value of permeability for the gas component of air (inside communications and equipment cascade of gas centrifuges pressure substantially below atmospheric); working temperature range is from negative to 60-80°; corrosion resistance against the fluorides of the elements and hydrogen fluoride, which appears inside the unit by the interaction of fluoride with water vapor. Related to this is an additional requirement to RTI for gas centrifuges - they should have the minimum possible value of vlagopronitsaemostyu ("a Mixture of special rubber stamps 51-1787 and 51-1787 M." Technical conditions TU 2512-017-00152081-98, JSC GOODS, 1998).

There is a method by which manufactured parts meet the above requirements (Details rubber with low moisture permeability for vacuum systems" Technical conditions TU 2531-029-00152081-2002, JSC NEITHER IS AMY, 2002). This method uses the following sequence of operations: forming products from rubber mixture; vulcanization of rubber products at a temperature of 180°C for 10 minutes; temperature control RTI, which is essentially a drying at atmospheric pressure for 1 hour at the maximum RTI temperature of 100°C.

The disadvantage of this method is the separation of volatile impurities from RTI in the process of operation of gas centrifuges, getting into the communication gas centrifuges and overlapping bore communications.

In addition, in the known method quality control of the chemical composition of RTI before installing the gas centrifuge requires a long and expensive analyses, therefore, is only selectively and in case of need.

The purpose of technical solution is to reduce the amount of volatile impurities, which are extracted from RTI in the process of operation of gas centrifuges and quality control material RTI.

The essence of the proposed solution lies in the fact that in the method of manufacture and quality control of rubber products for gas centrifuges and communications cascade of gas centrifuges, which consists in forming products from rubber, vulcanization of rubber products, drying control, drying is carried out under high-temperature vacuum at a temperature of 0.6-1 from the maximum permissible operating temperature and pressure of not more than 0.08 mm Hg (10 PA) for 1-4 days to retrieve 70-100% of the volatile component of the mixture, the quality control of rubber products produced by the mass of products hagenia collected in the low-temperature trap, cooled with liquid nitrogen, to the total mass of rubber products.

In addition, high-temperature vacuum drying can be carried out after the temperature control of rubber products at atmospheric pressure.

In addition, the period of time between the end of the process of high-temperature vacuum drying and installation of rubber products in the gas centrifuge is not more than 1 day.

In addition, long-term storage prior to installation in a gas centrifuge rubber products can be made in a vacuum sealed container.

In addition, long-term storage prior to installation in a gas centrifuge rubber products can be produced in a sealed container filled to atmospheric pressure drained neutral gas or mixture of gases.

The method is as follows.

Set RTI for installation in a gas centrifuge fits easily in specialnicole, equipped with a vacuum pumping system products hagenia RTI through a trap cooled with liquid nitrogen, a system of uniform heating capacity by volume and well-known control devices and maintain the process temperature and pressure in the vessel and the evacuation system. The tank is heated to a temperature of 60±2°With the maximum permissible operating temperature is RTI - 100°C. Evacuation products hagenia is performed at a pressure of not more than 0.08 mm Hg (10 PA). The process of high temperature vacuum drying produced within 1-4 days. The quality control of rubber products produced by the mass of products hagenia collected in the low-temperature trap, cooled with liquid nitrogen, to the total mass of rubber products, which amounted to 0,3-0,45%.

In this example, after conducting a high-temperature vacuum drying for 4 day weight loss kit RTI was 0,31% of the original mass of the set of RTI. Weighing products hagenia collected in the low-temperature trap, confirmed this measurement. The study of the dynamics of the process hagenia showed that during testing is removed 70-80% volatile impurities in RTI that without the procedure of high-temperature vacuum drying will flow in a gas centrifuge during operation the AI. You can increase the temperature treatments of high-temperature vacuum drying to 100°With this increase allows to reduce the time of the process, but requires increasing the capacity of the heaters.

As shown in our studies, the magnitude of the ratio of the mass of products hagenia RTI to the original weight parts of rubber when carrying out high-temperature vacuum drying at the same temperature and duration of the process is quite stable and characterizes the qualitative composition of the components of RTI. As a result, the constant value of the ratio of the mass of products hagenia RTI to the original weight parts rubber (with a precision of 10-30%) when carrying out high-temperature vacuum drying is a method of rapid control of finished rubber products made from different batches of rubber mixtures: a sudden change of this parameter indicates a change in the composition of the rubber mixture or technology RTI. In addition, high-temperature vacuum drying can be carried out after the temperature control of rubber products at atmospheric pressure. During the research it was determined that the chemical composition of products hagenia parts RTI underwent a procedure temperature control and without this procedure is nearly identical and, accordingly, do not change xploitation quality RTI. Because the time interval between operation of vulcanization and high-temperature vacuum drying may take up to 2 years (in accordance with the Technical specifications 2531-029-00152081-2002), the procedure of drying RTI at atmospheric pressure for 1 hour and the temperature is 100°With (temperature control) immediately after vulcanization, can be used to improve the hygienic conditions of storage RTI (loss of smell) before the process of high-temperature vacuum drying.

In addition, the period of time between the end of the process of high-temperature vacuum drying and installation of rubber products in the gas centrifuge is not more than 1 day. According to the results of measurements of weight kit of parts RTI for gas centrifuges, storage RTI in air for 24 hours before installation in a gas centrifuge, the increase of mass of a set of RTI by absorbing moisture from the atmosphere is less than 5-8% of the mass of the extracted products hagenia that will have virtually no effect on the operation of gas centrifuges. For longer storage in air, the weight increase kit RTI due to the absorption of moisture from the atmosphere can be up to ˜50% by weight of extracted products hagenia that will require repeat procedures high-temperature vacuum drying before installing RTI in the gas cent is ifpu. Therefore, long-term storage RTI before installing the gas centrifuge must be made in a vacuum sealed container or in a sealed container filled to atmospheric pressure drained neutral gas such as air or nitrogen, or a mixture of drained neutral gases.
