Method for increasing resistance, immunity and meat performance in swine

FIELD: veterinary immunology, veterinary virology, bacteriology.

SUBSTANCE: in favorable farms it is necessary to introduce Fosprenyl for swine during the periods of immunodeficiency thrice: on the 1st, 4th and 8th d of life; then at the age of 20-22 d and at the age of 35-45 d at the dosage of about 0.05-0.5 ml/kg animal body weight. The innovation enables to decrease lethality as a result of infectious diseases by 5%, on the average, due to activating the parameters of resistance and increasing reserve blood alkalinity, and, also, increase average daily body weight gains by 17% due to activating metabolism, in particular, due to increasing the intensity of protein synthesis.

The present invention relates to the field of veterinary immunology, veterinary Virology and bacteriology, in particular to the development of a method of increasing the resistance and immunity of the body, reducing the mortality from noncommunicable diseases in the conditions of well-being, as well as increasing meat productivity of pigs.

It is known that industrial animal husbandry 80% of the population immunodeficite, leading to increased mortality and loss of meat productivity of pigs.

Immunodeficiency - congenital or acquired disorders of the mechanisms of natural resistance and immune protection of the body. Congenital disorders are classified as primary immunodeficiencies, acquired as a secondary immunodeficiency.

Secondary immunodeficiencies are: physiological (pregnancy, childbirth, lactation, novorojdennomu, the period of intensive growth, adulthood and others); pathological noncommunicable (when fasting, metabolic disorders, hormonal disorders, stress, environmental changes (seasonal, toxic, radioactive and other), use of certain drugs (vaccines, antibiotics, immunosuppressants, anthelmintic), violations of contents (microclimate, intensive technological cycles, overcrowding, lack of exercise) and pathological infectious (p and acute and persistent viral infections, when infection of the immune system, bacterial infections, dysbiosis, protozoal diseases, helminthiasis).

The use of immunomodulating drugs in animals with immune deficiency leads to restoration of function of natural resistance and does immune mean, strengthening the adaptive capacities of the organism to stress factors, efficiency and safety of the vaccine, increasing the degree of protection of the organism from infectious diseases.

It is known that some of the tools, corrective immunodeficiencies, have simultaneously positive impact on the productivity of animals.

Known means for prevention, treatment and elimination of consequences of viral, bacterial, cancer, liver diseases, gastrointestinal tract, urinary system, immune system, wounds, burns, stress, which, as the beginning of the main active contains phosphate polyprenols (1).

In veterinary practice known permitted for use and commercially available drug Fosprenil, which represents a 0.4% solution of the product of phosphorylation of polyprenols pine needles.

Known method of promoting natural resistance and immunity for the prevention of infectious diseases in conditions of inequality, increasing growth, and is Revazov, improve the immune response to the vaccine and reducing the frequency of post-vaccination reactions, and the treatment of viral infections in combination with a complex therapy in cattle and pigs using Fosrenol (2).

The objective of our research was to develop a method of increasing the resistance and immunity of the body, reducing the mortality from noncommunicable diseases in the conditions of well-being, as well as increasing meat productivity of pigs.

This has been achieved thanks to the fact that pigs in the prosperous farms as immunomodulator was introduced Fosprenil during immunodeficiencies:

in the first age immunodeficiency (in the first week of life) two or three times on the 1st and 3rd days of life or on the 1st, 4th and 8th days of life;

- the second age-related immunodeficiency (when falling titers of maternal antibodies on the 20th-22nd days of life;

- on the day of weaning and/or the first vaccination against CSF 35-45 day life. Fosprenil in the body of pigs intramuscularly in the dose range of 0.0001-10.0 ml / kg (0.4 µ g / kg to 40,000 ág / kg).

Specific examples of the method and the results of its application are shown in tables 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6.

As can be seen from the presented data, the proposed method provides in terms of welfare reduction in mortality from noncommunicable diseases by 3.6 to 6.3%. Including diseases of the digestive system by about 6.5-6.8%, dispers the th 1.2-12.8%), and metabolic diseases 3.6-12%.

Some of the mechanisms for increasing the resistance to these diseases we have proved in the laboratory.

When applying Fosrenol in piglets growth is observed:

- reserve alkalinity of the blood in 1.6 times, but not above the upper limit of the physiological norm in this parameter that characterizes the strengthening of the bicarbonate buffer system is one of the four buffer systems, ensuring the constancy of the pH of blood equal 7,35-7,45 - hard option metabolism, which is above 7.8 or less than 6.8 incompatible with life;

- lysozyme activity in serum of 1.16 times that characterize the humoral factors of nonspecific resistance of the organism.

In addition, piglets treated Fosprenil, the resulting increase in the intensity of protein synthesis in 1,2 times, but not above the upper limit of the physiological norm in this parameter. Intensification of protein synthesis in young growing animals is an indicator of activation of the metabolism and one of the mechanisms to increase the average daily gain of 17% in the experimental piglets.

The proposed method allows to reduce the mortality from noncommunicable diseases in the conditions of well-being, and increase meat productivity of pigs through the use of the biological properties of phosphate polybren the crystals from the needles of pine (Fosrenol), associated with possible activation of their intracellular metabolic reactions and stimulation of the synthesis of glycoproteins, including biologically active molecules and mediators of the body that performs protective and regulatory functions (hormones, immunoglobulins, cytokines, globulins serum, the molecules of the receptor apparatus of cells, glycocalyx and intercellular substance), and is mediated by activation of neurohumoral regulation of metabolism, immune response and natural resistance.

The proposed method is economically justified and allows you to get 3,82-19,1 ruble profit on the ruble cost of the drug.

The proposed method is tested us with positive results in 2003, the number of pigs PZ "Hybrid" (Samara region) in the number 7151 goal. and OOO "becomes" (Lipetsk region) 385 goal.

The method will find application in pig farms of the Russian Federation and will allow in terms of well-being to reduce mortality from non-communicable diseases, and to improve meat productivity of pigs.

Then one should obtain a sorted combination of spermatozoa to introduce it for female of the given mammalian type to fertilize, at least, one female ovicell at resultativeness level being, at least, 50% against that of pregnancy achieved at applying conventional combination of spermatozoa for artificial insemination. For separating spermatozoa one should create the source of cells that supplies spermatozoa for sorting procedure.
