The resistance of animals to the adverse effects of the external environment is determined by the state of its defenses, making necessary along with vaccination strengthen the natural resistance to the action of microbial factors.

A known number of non-specific stimulators of the immune system (synthetic, bacterial, of vegetable origin), differing in structure and mechanisms of action.

Known herbal drugs immunostimulatory properties of the most studied of drugs Siberian ginseng, motherwort, preparations of pumpkin seeds, herb of Echinacea purpurea, leuzea. However, data about immunotropic action of these drugs are contradictory /1-6/.

Closest to the claimed is a means with immunodeficiency is stimuliruyuschim action which is an aqueous extract of the herb St. John's wort herb (Hypericum perforatum L.), creeping thyme (Thymus serpyllum), peppermint (Mentha piperita L.) and mother-and-stepmother (Tussilago farfara), taken in equal quantities /8/.

To improve therapeutic and preventive actions and expand the Arsenal of means, having an immunostimulating action, it is proposed to use the extract from the grass and blossoms of Echinacea purple (Echinazea purpurea), the mother-and-stepmother (Tussilago farfara), grass, creeping thyme (Thymus serpyllum) and licorice root (Glycyrrhiza glabra), taken in equal quantities. The technical result of the invention is to improve the conservation and average daily weight gain of calves.

Echinacea (Echinazea purpurea) - a perennial herb, with short rhizome, fruit - grayish-brown achene. Bred in the southern and middle areas of the European part of Russia. Collect flower heads in July and August, rhizomes with roots in late autumn. Chemical composition: the essential oil (in the flower baskets of 0.13-0.48 per cent), which includes acyclic sesquiterpene, glycoside, betaine, resin, organic acids (palmitic, linoleic, zerotinova), phytosterols (in the roots). In folk and scientific medicine Echinacea purple used in the treatment of recurrent infectious-inflammatory diseases of the upper and lower respiratory the ways. Contraindications: hypersensitivity, autoimmune diseases, tuberculosis, leukemia, pregnancy, lactation, infancy, chronic liver disease.

Mother-and-stepmother (Tussilago farfara) occurs everywhere. Collect leaves in the first half of the summer. Licorice (Glycyrrhiza glabra L.) is a perennial soboliferous herbaceous plant of the family. In the wild it grows in the South of Western Europe, Mediterranean, Asia minor, Iran, Turkey, Afghanistan, China, in Russia, in the South of the European part and Western Siberia. Collect rhizomes with roots in spring or summer. Chemical with the Tav: triterpene saponin glycyrrhizin - calcium and potassium salts glycyrrhizinate acid (23%), flavonoids, derived flavanone and chalcone, polysaccharides (starch, pectin), ascorbic acid. Extract from the grass and blossoms of Echinacea purple, mother-and-stepmother, grass, creeping thyme and licorice root is prepared pharmacopoeial method in the ratio of raw material to izvlekali 1:10. As a solvent used ethanol concentration of 70%. Medicinal raw material is crushed to a particle size of 1-3 mm, mixed in equal quantities, a portion of the raw material is placed in a glass vessel, add the calculated amount of ethanol concentration of 70%, incubated 7 days in a dark place at a temperature of 15-20°C. Example 1. The essence of the method is illustrated by examples.

Example 2. Stimulating effect on the factors of nonspecific resistance was evaluated in an experiment in clinically healthy calves 5-7 days of age in 2 series of experiments. In both series of experiments. selected by the method of analogues calves were divided into four groups. In the first series calves first three groups applied inside of biologically active stimulator in accordance with the invention, obtained as in example 1, in the form of an aqueous 7% concentration for 10 days with an interval of 24 hours at doses of 2.0; 2.5 and 3.0 ml/kg body weight of the animal. Calves fourth group stimulator was not received and served as control. In the second series calves the first three groups of biologically active stimulator in accordance with the invention, p is imereli inside on the background of intramuscular injection of non-specific immunoglobulin. Natural resistance were assessed by the bactericidal activity of blood serum (determined by the method Overmaas and Casesmini, 1966), lysozyme activity of blood serum (determined by the method Vgetarian, 1968), β-Lisino activity of blood serum (determined by the method Overusing and others, 1970) and the functional activity of blood neutrophils (determined in the reduction reaction of nitrocine of tetrazole on Annajanska and others, 1979). The results are presented in table 1

As can be seen from table 1, when tested doses obtained consistent results in both series of experiments. As the optimal dose for use in practice can be recommended dose 2.5 ml/kg weight of the animal, providing maximum performance relative to control and limit dose. Boundary doses provide improvements relative to the control, but are uneconomic.

Example 3. The efficient way to increase non-specific resistance with the use of biologically active stimulator in accordance with the invention, obtained as in example 1, was studied in terms of economy, permanently affected by gastrointestinal diseases calves, due to the impact on the body associations viruses, pathogenic and conditionally pathogenic microflora in the background of violations of the conditions of keeping and feeding pregnant cows and calves. Example 4. According to the principle of analogs selected clinically healthy calves 5-7 days of age were divided into four groups. The status of the calves was assessed by weight gain, clinical indicators and indicators of General non-specific resistance, as in example 1 (tables 4 and 5).
