SUBSTANCE: claimed method includes application of herbicidal effective amount of (a) 2-(2'-nitro-4'-methylsulfonylbenzoyl)-1,3-cyclohexanedione or agronomically accepted salt thereof and (b) N-isopropyl-(5-trifluoromethyl-1,3,4-thiadiazol-2-yl)-4-(4'-fluoroxyacetanilide) on determinate locus, wherein mass ratio of (a):)(b) is from 1:20000 to 55:1. Disclosed is herbicidal composition containing (a) and (b) components in abovementioned ratio.

EFFECT: effective controlling of wide spectrum weed; decreased consumption of herbicides.

This invention relates to new compositions comprising a herbicide N-isopropylthioxanthone and derived benzoylchloride-dione, and to their use as herbicides.

Compounds according to the invention are known in the prior art. N-Isopropylidenedioxy-acetanilide described in the application for the European patent 0348737, published January 3, 1990, which, inter alia, discloses N-isopropyl-(5-trifluoromethyl-1,3,4-thiadiazole-2-yl)-(4'-peroxyacetyl) in the form of a connection 34. Benzoylecgonine described, for example, in the application for the European patent 0186118. U.S. patent specifically discloses 2-(2'-nitro-4'-methylsulfonylbenzoyl)-1,3-cyclohexanedione. In both of these publications reported that these compounds possess herbicide activity. However, in none of the publications are not informed about the specific protivorakovykh connection properties. In EP-A1-0348737 reported that the derivative of acetanilide can be used in an amount of 0.01 to 10 kg of active compound per hectare of soil surface, preferably 0.05 to 5 kg per hectare; there are no details about the exact application rates for use of the compounds in the processing of cereal. In U.S. patent reported that the compounds according to the invention have a high activity as compared to known compounds against some weed species.

Found that the combination of N-isopropyl-(5-trifluoromethyl-1,3,4-thiadiazole-2-yl)-4-(4'-peroxyacetyl) with 2-(2'-nitro-4'-methylsulfonylbenzoyl)-1,3-cyclohexandione provides effective fight against an extremely wide range of both monocotyledonous and dicotyledonous weeds at reduced application rates compared with those of known compounds. Moreover, along with the selectivity, it provides effective control in respect of important crop species such as corn.

In addition, it was found that in some conditions the joint herbicide activity of 2-(2'-nitro-4'-methylsulfonylbenzoyl)-1,3-cyclohexanedione and N-isopropyl-(5-triptime-Teal-1,3,4-thiadiazole-2-yl)-4-4'-peroxyacetyl) to combat certain types of weeds, for example, Setaria viridis, Echinochloa crus-galli, Amaranthus retroflexus and Polygonum lapathifolium, higher than expected, without an unacceptable increase the phytotoxicity against crops.

This unexpected effect provides increased reliability counter these competitive weeds in many crops and leads to a significant reduction of the amount of active ingredient required for weed control.

According to the present invention proposes a method of regulating the growth of weeds at a particular site, including the introduction of the above mentioned plot herbicide effective amount of:

and benzoylecgonine formula (I)

which means 2-(2'-nitro-4'-methylsulfonylbenzoyl)-1,3-cyclohexanedione or agronomically acceptable salt or complex with the metal; and

(b) N-isopropyl-(5-trifluoromethyl-1,3,4-thiadiazole-2-yl)-4-(4'-peroxyacetyl) of the formula (II)

For convenience, N-isopropyl-(5-trifluoromethyl-1,3,4-thiadiazole-2-yl)-4-(4'-peroxyacid-anilide) hereinafter designated as compound B.

The applied amount of 2-(2'-nitro-4'-methylsulfonylbenzoyl)-1,3-cyclohexane-dione and connections B vary depending on existing weeds and their populations used composition, time of application, to maticevski and soil conditions, and (when used to control weed growth on the areas of crop production from agricultural crops, that should be processed. Usually, taking these factors into account, the use of quantities of 0.5 to 512 g of benzoylacetone and 10-10000 g of compound B per hectare give good results. However, it is clear that can be used in higher or lower damage amount, depending on the problems encountered in the fight against weeds.

The method according to the invention is most preferably used for weed control in a specific area, used or to be used for growing crops. When applied to areas for growing crops caused the number of herbicide should be sufficient to control the growth of weeds without causing significant long-term damage to agricultural crops. Crops, in which case the composition may be used, include soybeans, sugarcane, cotton, maize, sunflower, pea, chickpea, potato, rice, sorghum and cereals. The preferred crop in relation to the selectivity of the composition is corn. For the selective combating of weeds in weedy plot, which is used or should be used for growing crops the number of 5-512 g benzoylecgonine and 50-5000 g of compound B per hectare are particularly suitable, preferably 20-200 g benzoylecgonine and 80-875 g of compound B per hectare, most preferably 25-150 g (most preferably about 80 g) of benzoylecgonine and 300-500 g (most preferably 360 g in wet conditions and 450 g in drier conditions) compound B per hectare.

Preferably the composition is applied in pre-emergence period, but can also be used in post-harvest period (especially in the early growth stage of weeds). The term "pre-emergence period" means the introduction of the composition into the soil in which the seeds or seedlings of weeds present before the emergence of crops. One of the options pre-emergence application known as "pre-sowing application, where the herbicide applied to the soil before planting crops. You can also make an early preplant application. The composition can also be made before sowing (i.e. before planting crops), or to the surface or into the soil. Early pre-treatment when using the composition (especially applied to the surface), are also characteristic of the method according to the invention.

In accordance with the following distinguishing feature of the present invention provides herbicide compositions, including:

(a) 2-(2'-nitro-4'-methylsulfonylbenzoyl)-1,3-cyclohexan what he or agronomically acceptable salt or complex with the metal; and

(b) N-isopropyl-(5-trifluoromethyl-1,3,4-thiadiazole-2-yl)-4-(4'-peroxyacetyl);

in combination, and preferably in homogeneous dispergirovannom condition, with herbicide acceptable diluent or carrier and/or surface-active agent.

The term "herbicide composition"used in a broad sense, includes not only compositions which are ready for use as herbicides, but also concentrates which, before use should be diluted. Preferably the compositions contain from 0.05 to 90 wt.% benzoyl-1,3-cyclohexanedione and connections B. Unless otherwise stated, percentages and ratios in the description refer to the mass.

As a rule, we use a composition in which the ratio (a):(b) is from 1:20000 to 55:1 wt./wt.(or from 1:20000 to 51.2:1 wt./wt.), moreover, the ratio from 1:1000 to 1:10 wt/wt. (or from 1:1000 to 1:10,24 wt./wt.) are preferred, the ratio from 1:45 to 2.5:1 wt./wt.(or from 1:43,75 to 2.5:1 wt./wt.) more preferred, and ratios of from 1:20 to 2:1 wt./masoniana preferred; ratio of from 1:14 to 1:16 wt./wt.(or about 1:14.4 wt./wt.) in wet conditions and from 1:17 to 1:20 wt./wt.(or about 1:18 wt./wt.) in dry conditions are preferred.

A preferred composition according to the invention is in the form of dispersible granules in water, although it is clear that that can the same be applied to other types of compositions, well-known specialists

In accordance with the usual practice, a tank mixture can be prepared before use by combining separate preparative forms of individual herbicide components.

In accordance with a further distinguishing feature of the present invention provides a product including:

(a) 2-(2'-nitro-4'-methylsulfonylbenzoyl)-1,3-cyclohexanedione or agronomically acceptable salt or complex with the metal; and

(b) N-isopropyl-(5-trifluoromethyl-1,3,4-thiadiazole-2-yl)-4-(4'-peroxyacid-anilide);

in the form of a combined preparation for simultaneous, separate or sequential applications to control the growth of weeds at a particular site.

The present invention is illustrated by the following, not limiting the scope of protection of the examples.

Example 1

A. pre-emergence treatment in the greenhouse

solvent: 5 mass parts of acetone or DMF

emulsifier: 0,1% mass parts simple alkylarylsulphonates ether

To obtain the necessary formulations of 1% musictuner substance is mixed with the specified amount of solvent, add the specified amount of emulsifier, and the concentrate is diluted with water to the desired concentration.

The seeds of the studied plants sown in standard soil and sprayed preparative what ormoy active substances thus so the desired amount of active substance was in the unit square. The concentration of the composition is determined so that a desired amount of the active substance was in 500 liters of water per hectare. Then the plants are placed in the greenhouse.

After 21 days, analyze the extent of damage to plants in % damage in comparison with untreated control plants. This means: 0% - effect is not observed (corresponding untreated control plants), and 100% of all plants are destroyed.

B. post-harvest processing in the greenhouse

Solvent: 5 mass parts of acetone

Emulsifier: 1 mass part alkylarylsulphonates simple ether

The test plants with a height of 5-15 cm are sprayed with the preparative form of the active substance so that the preferred amounts of active substances had on the unit square. Three weeks later analyze the degree of damage to the plants is in % damage in comparison with untreated control plants. This means: 0% - effect is not observed (corresponding untreated control plants), and 100% of all plants are destroyed.

Calculated theoretically expected degree of action of the combination is determined by the formula Colby: S.R.Colby "Calculating synergistic and antagonistic responses of herbicide combinations", Weeds, 15, 20-22 (1967).

The above data clearly indicate an unexpected synergistic effect of the proposed compositions.

1. Method for controlling weed growth in a specific area, including the application of the above mentioned plot herbicide effective amount of:

(a) 2-(2'-nitro-4'-methylsulfonylbenzoyl)-1,3-cyclohexanedione or its agronomically acceptable salts; and

(b) N-isopropyl-(5-trifluoromethyl-1,3,4-thiadiazole-2-yl)-4-(4'-peroxyacid-anilide) of the formula (II):

moreover, the components (a):(b) apply in a mass ratio of from 1:20000 to 55:1.

2. The method according to claim 1, where the consumption rate is 0.5-512 g per hectare 2-(2'-nitro-4'-methylsulfonylbenzoyl)-1,3-cyclohexanedione and 10-10000 g per hectare of N-isopropyl-(5-trifluoromethyl-1,3,4-thiadiazole-2-yl)-4-(4'-fluoro-oxyacetylene).

3. The method according to claim 1 or 2, where the usage rate is 5-512 g per hectare 2-(2'-nitro-4'-methylsulfonylbenzoyl)-1,3-cyclohexanedione and 50-5000 g h is ha N-isopropyl-(5-trifluoromethyl-1,3,4-thiadiazole-2-yl)-4-(4'-peroxyacetyl).

4. The method according to any one of claims 1 to 3, where the usage rate is 20-200 grams per hectare of 2-(2'-nitro-4'-methylsulfonylbenzoyl)-1,3-cyclohexanedione and 80-875 g per hectare of N-isopropyl-(5-trifluoromethyl-1,3,4-thiadiazole-2-yl)-4-(4'-peroxyacetyl).

5. The method according to any one of claims 1 to 4, where the usage rate is 25-150 g / ha 2-(2'-nitro-4'-methylsulfonylbenzoyl)-1,3-cyclohexanedione and 300-500 grams per hectare of N-isopropyl-(5-trifluoromethyl-1,3,4-thiadiazole-2-yl)-4-(4'-peroxyacetyl).

6. The method according to any one of claims 1 to 5, carried out by pre-emergence treatment.

7. Herbicide composition, including

(a) 2-(2'-nitro-4'-methylsulfonylbenzoyl)-1,3-cyclohexanedione or agronomically acceptable salt,

(b) N-isopropyl-(5-trifluoromethyl-1,3,4-thiadiazole-2-yl)-4-(4'-fluoro-oxoazetidin);

in combination with herbicide acceptable diluent or carrier and/or surface-active agent, and the mass ratio of components (a):(b) is from 1:20000 to 55:1.

8. The composition according to claim 7, in which the mass ratio (a):(b) is from 1:1000 to 10:1.

9. The composition according to claim 7, in which the mass ratio (a):(b) ranges from 1:45 to 2.5:1.
