The present invention relates to a delimbing apparatus, the definition of which is given in the introductory part of claim 1 of the formula of the invention and which is intended for trimming branches on the trees.

Currently known in the art such head to logging equipment that may be connected to a suitable machine used in forestry, and by which can be produced felling, trimming knots on them and cut their trunks into logs of the desired length, and all this is carried out continuously in a single operation directly on site, in the woods. Thus, the heads of this type to logging equipment can be used only in relation to the process of felling trees, accompanied by the subsequent transport of the resulting logs.

The purpose of the present invention is to provide delimbing installation of a completely new type, which can be used for pre-trimming unnecessary knots on standing live trees, so if the need arises - and for thinning forests, as well as for felling trees.

In addition, the present invention is the creation of the installation, designed to conduct the work, the directional on the cultivation of high-quality forest, with the help of which you will be able to trim branches on the trees while they are still alive, removing dead and the other, in one way or another unviable branches from the trees during the whole period of their growth, thus obtaining wood that is perfect for use as raw material for the timber industry.

In delimbing installation according to the present invention provides for the application executed separately delimbing device, which is driven by an appropriate drive mechanism, so it has the ability to climb up free from knots lower part of the trunk of the tree and crop encountered on his way small twigs and large branches, in case the need arises to carry out the cutting of the tree of the respective pieces of the trunk of a given length starting from the top, or produce the fell of trees in the form of whole trunks, cutting off the tree at the very beginning.
