Opening broaching method and apparatus for performing the same

FIELD: plastic working of metals, working openings.

SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of pulling broach through opening at tightness; at working deep openings and inner cone surfaces pulling broach through opening due to mutually screwing broach and arranged symmetrically along axis threaded rod to which blank is secured. Apparatus includes broach with threaded opening where threaded axially symmetrical rod is arranged. On outer surface of broach there is thread whose pitch exceeds that of internal thread. Threaded rod is used for joining with blank. Broach may have cone outer surface; its outer thread may be multi-start thread.

EFFECT: possibility for working deep openings, inner cone surfaces.

The invention relates to the field of metal forming, in particular to the field of machining of holes.

There is a method of burnishing holes, including bursting with tension mandrel through the hole [1, s].

The method is implemented in the device containing the mandrel, made in plain smooth rod [1].

There is a method of burnishing is not capable of handling deep holes and pipes, and also makes it impossible to form an inner conical surface.

This is a flaw.

The technical result of the invention is to reduce this drawback.

The technical result in part of the method is achieved by the fact that the bursting of the mandrel through the hole produced by (mutual) screwing the mandrel and asymmetrically located threaded rod with bonded with him billets.

The technical result in part of the device is achieved by the mandrel contains an axisymmetric hole with internal thread, and the outer surface is another thread, a step which is greater than the thread pitch of the inner.

The drawing shows a design illustrating the operation of the device installed on a lathe.

Works considered the device as follows.

Due to the special design of the handpiece 2 Cams 1 lathe Chuck to transmit power of rotation and simultaneously the threaded rod 3 and the pipe workpiece 4. As wrench 9, attached to the socket 7, freely rests on the bed of a lathe (not shown), the tapered mandrel 6 is prevented from rotation, but can move translationally along its axis. During rotation of the threaded rod 3 and the mandrel 6 are mutually nevinovate is each other, and the mandrel without rotation begins to move in the direction of turning of the Chuck when the billet 4 of its inner surface with a large preload begins to nevinovate on the polished top of the thread 10.

Due to the fact that the conical thread 10 has a very big step (in comparison with the pitch of the cylindrical thread), the result of one such rotation of the billet on its inner surface will slide seven coils of the conical thread with increasing diameter polished tops 10. Therefore, in the pipe workpiece considerable effort, sufficient to increase its diameter and simultaneously shifting the metal along the axis of the conical mandrel in the direction of the tailstock of a lathe. As a result, the metal billet begins to flow in a specified direction and to put the stocking on the mandrel, as shown in the drawing, where the contours of the finished formed product, covering the tapered mandrel, a solid black (see position 4, 11 and 12).

According to the technology considered possible rotation of the mandrel relative to the non-rotating threaded rod and tube stock and even their dual rotating with different angular velocities. Therefore, it is possible such determination, as the mutual rotation.

If asymmetrically located threaded rod 3 to remove from the mandrel 6, at the expense of interaction is a lot of rotation of the mandrel 6 and the formed cone 11 possible calibration (smoothing) of the inner surface of this cone polished tops 10 conical multiple threads.

In the experiment conducted by the inventors, was used billet Dint.=50 mm, wall thickness 4 mm and asymmetrically located threaded rod with standard thread tcylinder=M×4.

According to the technology of the above-mentioned tubular workpieces on a conventional lathe for several passes with intermediate anneals are able to form a conical chamber energy for the vortex tube [2] with the geometric parameters Dabout=50 mm, Dmax=120 mm, L=500 mm and the cone angle α=8°. This is the ultimate goal of the work, which became the basis of the present invention.

Perhaps, burnishing deep cylindrical holes (see pos.12) using a conical mandrel. In addition, it is possible to design the mandrel and the cylindrical outer multiple threads.

FIELD: metal working, cutting tools for working polyhedral openings.

SUBSTANCE: in order to enhance accuracy of opening and to lower roughness of worked surface, calibrating portion of broach is made with profiled pattern for removing allowance. Along the whole contour of first three calibrating teeth there are small-size cutting-dividing grooves mutually arranged in staggered fashion on adjacent teeth. Depth of grooves exceeds rise of last cutting tooth by 0.1 - 0.2 mm. Pitch between cutting-dividing grooves is in range 2.8 - 3.0 mm. Spacing from bending point of polyhedral profile till first cutting-dividing groove is equal to 1.3 - 1.5 mm. Angle of profile of cutting-dividing grooves is equal to 45°. Bottom radius of cutting-dividing grooves is equal to 0.2 mm. Brach may be square, hexahedral or rectangular one.

EFFECT: enhanced accuracy of opening size, lowered roughness of broached surface.
