The quantity of dental deposits should be detected due to ultraviolet light spectrum of about 300-400 nm. The innovation enables to detect both the quantity and the quality of dental deposits and evaluate the index of oral hygiene in patients with bridge work dentures, provides dyeing picture in ultraviolet light only and requires no additional washing.

The invention relates to medicine, namely to prosthodontics.

In patients with fixed and removable prostheses significantly more common diseases such as gingivitis, periodontitis, caries, stomatitis. The presence in the oral cavity fixed or removable dental prostheses creates more favorable conditions for the deposition of plaque and significantly impairs the cleaning of teeth. Underestimating or ignoring the value of oral hygiene in General complex of preventive measures often negates therapeutic and Wellness treatments. Poor hygienic condition of the mouth leads to complications of dental diseases, to their more acute manifestation, and also reduces the shelf life of the prosthesis, which deposits are formed faster than his mouth.

One of the criteria in the assessment of oral hygiene is the indicator, which informs about the size of the surface of a tooth crown, covered with plaque. Since dental plaque is usually colorless, they are determined using dyes (Bismarck brown, a solution of basic fuchsin red, Lugol solution, the solution fluorescense sodium and others)

For the detection of dental plaque in the assessment of oral hygiene in modern dentistry uses objective indicators (indexes)that ha is acterized the quality and quantity of dental plaque. However, the number of evaluation methods, which are based on a different number of teeth from different functional groups, up to staining of the teeth on both sides or the collection and weighing of plaque around individual teeth, indicates the urgency of this problem and the inadequacy of existing methods.

As a prototype, the authors propose a method of determining the hygienic index Fedorov-Volodkina //Emmelina "Prevention of dental diseases", Minsk, "Vysheishaya school.", 1990, p.3-17.

It is defined by the intensity of staining of the vestibular surface of the six lower anterior teeth by applying an iodine-Modesto-potassium solution (liquid Schiller-Pisarev).

The calculation is carried out according to the formula:

Tocf- hygiene index;

ΣKn- total hygiene index for each of the six teeth;

n is the number of teeth.

Painting the entire surface of the crown receives 5 points, 3/4 surface with 4 1/2 surface - 3, 1/4 surface - 2 points. In the absence of colouring put 1 point. Indicator assessed as follows: a good index, satisfactory, unsatisfactory, poor, very poor.

However, the proposed method has several disadvantages:

- the definition of quality and the number of dental plaque, evaluation of hygiene index was carried out only on your own teeth.

- application of known dyes impossible to determine the number of dental plaque on the bridge prostheses, as these solutions are difficult to be washed away from the surface of the prosthesis. The authors propose a method for determining deposits of plaque in patients with bridges using the fluorescent dye rhodamine 6g.

Rhodamine 6g is a fluorescent dye, glow, which is excited by radiant energy absorbing UV rays, rhodamine emits ultraviolet light. Aqueous solutions of rhodamine have a maximum absorption at 517 555 and MMK, it is used for detection and determination of CA, Zn, wolframite and other elements //concise encyclopedia of chemical, M., "Soviet encyclopedia", 1967, str-451//.

The authors determined the deposition of plaque on the bridge prostheses made of metal, metalloelastase, cobalt-chrome alloy, titanium and pressed crown (figure 2 and 3).

The method is as follows. Rhodamine 6g dissolved in water at a ratio of 0.1 g of powdered rhodamine 6g per 100 ml of water. Brush put the resulting solution on the vestibular surface of the bridge and illuminate UV rays. The irradiation-treated with 0.1% aqueous solution of rhodamine bridges in a darkened place the AI by ultraviolet range 300-400 nm (positive decision on granting a patent for utility model "the Device for determining fluorescing effect the teeth of Rwandan", application number 2005117793/22) determines the amount of sediment on the bridge prosthesis (Fig. No. 1) and evaluate them on a 5-point system: the absence of sediment - 1 point, 1/3 surface - 2 points, 2/3 of the surface is 3 points, more than 2/3 of the surface is 4 points, the whole tooth - 5 points.

Certain advantages of the proposed method is:

clinical observations have shown that the most prone to the formation of dental plaque dental bridges from metalloelastase that will allow us to take preventive measures for their cleaning and validity;

- identification of dental plaque on the bridge prostheses can prevent the onset of diseases such as gingivitis, periodontitis, caries, stomatitis;

- extend the life of prostheses;

- fluorescent dye rhodamine 6g is only visible under ultraviolet light;

- does not require additional rinsing, since removed the oral liquid;

the method allows to determine the quality and quantity of dental plaque and to evaluate the index of oral hygiene in patients with bridges and implement adequate preventive or therapeutic measures.
