The invention relates to protect potted plants from the greenhouse or greenhouse whitefly (TRIALE VAPORARIORUM WESTW) and can be used in floriculture as indoors and in greenhouses and conservatories.

Part of the funds are available and affordable foods: milk, sugar and dried flowers of calendula or marigold pharmacy (Calendula officinalis). Calendula flowers were collected in the Botanical garden of the Murmansk state technical University (growing them in the Far North are not problematic) and dried to a moisture content of 4.2%.

Active ingredient means are biologically active substances: carotenoids, including beta carotene, of violaxanthin, lycopene, cetraxate, rubixanthin, planogram, flavoxanthin, chrysanthemate; flavonoids (isorhamnetin, rutin, narcissin and others); triterpene saponins: calendulosides a, b, C, D1D2, F; organic acid; bitter - Celendin, resin, mucilage, malic acid; albumin, a small amount of salicylic acid; alkaloids, essential oil, giving the flowers a pleasant odor. The main active ingredients calendula flowers are carotenoids and flavonoids. Milk in the proposed tool is the solvent and sugar is used as adhesive. The tool is obtained by dissolving in milk dried calendula flowers and sugar, followed by infusion of the obtained solution during the day indoors at room temperature, after which the solution is filtered and used for spraying infected plants. The following examples illustrate the high insecticidal activity, the proposed means. Tests of means were carried out in the conditions created in the transition between University buildings green area area of 52 m2.

Example 1.

Solution No. 1 was sprayed with a hand sprayer heavily infested with whiteflies (the sheets were white from the huge number of adults and larvae of the pest) of plants of Ginori and fuchsia. Spraying was conducted on 21 October 2004. Moreover, the leaves of gynura were amazed with the upper hand and only larvae, and leaves fuchsia - from the bottom side and the adults and their larvae.
