FIELD: engineering of devices for information storage.

SUBSTANCE: device for information storage contains disks with information carrying layer mounted with possible rotation relatively to common axis, disks rotation drive, reading and/or recording head, positioned on the side of end of one of edge disks and directed towards the latter by its active zone, and also drive for moving aforementioned head in plane, parallel to rotation plane of disks. Information carrying layer at least on one disk, positioned on the side of head, is made with forming of window, transparent for signal, emitted and/or read by head and having shape matching movement trajectory of head, and disks rotation drive is made with possible independent rotation of disks and holding in position, providing for positioning of window in front of active zone of head.

The invention relates to the field of devices for storing information and can be used as storage devices of computers, music and video.

A device for storing information containing mounted rotatably drive with bearing information layer, the rotational drive of the disk recording and/or reading head, located on the side of the end disk, and an actuator for moving the head in a plane parallel to the plane of rotation of the disk (USSR Author's certificate No. 1015429, G 11 5/48 from 09.12.81).

The known device has a limited capacity to increase the amount of memory, because it contains only one disk for storing information. The closest solved the problem of the present invention is a device for storing information containing mounted for rotation relative to the common geometric axis of the discs carrying the information layer, the drive rotation of the disk recording and/or reading head, located on the end of one of the end disks and addressed to him the active area, and an actuator for moving the head in a plane parallel to the plane of rotation of the discs (USSR Author's certificate No. 200876, G 11 5/48 from 04.06.66).

The known device allows you to increase the volume of the memory by increasing the number of disks coaxially located, but for recording and reading information in the known device for each disk must have its own recording and read head, which complicates the design of the device for storing information.

The technical result from the use of the invention is to simplify the construction of devices for storing information, reducing its size, use it as a portable media with higher capacity.

This technical result is achieved in that the device for storing information containing mounted for rotation relative to the common geometric axis of the discs carrying the information layer, the drive rotation of the disk recording and/or reading head, located on the end of one of the end disks and addressed to him the active area, and an actuator for moving the head in a plane parallel to the plane of rotation of the discs, the information-carrying layer on at least one disk located on the sides of the head, performed with the formation of open, transparent to the signal emitted and/or read head, and corresponding to the shape of the trajectory of the head, and drive the rotation of the discs made with the possibility of their independent rotation and fixing in position, providing a window location along the path of movement of the heads is I.

Open, transparent to the signal emitted and/or read head can be performed on disks located between the most remote from the head of the disk and head.

The head in the storage device information can be made magnetic, at least one of the disks is made of magnetopolaron material, and the information-carrying layer is made of a magnetic material deposited on a face surface of the disk with the formation of open, transparent for transmission of electromagnetic signals.

Head device for storing information can be performed in the optical, at least one of the disks is made of optically transparent material, and the information-carrying layer is made reflective and/or light-absorbing and applied on a face surface of the disk with the formation of open, transparent for transmission of electromagnetic signals.

Head of unit for information storage can be installed with the possibility of reciprocating movement in a radial direction relative to the disk.

Head of unit for information storage can be installed with the possibility of a reciprocating swinging movement relative to the disk.

The window is retracee signal, radiated and/or read head may be formed through axial slot in the disk.

The invention is illustrated by drawings, where:

Storage device information contains mounted for rotation relative to the common geometric axis of the disks 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, provided with bearing information layer 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12. The drives are equipped with a drive rotation (figure 1 and Figure 2 is conventionally represented in the form of gears 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18 and rollers 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24). Recording and/or reading head 25 or 26 is located from the end of one of the end disks 3 or 6, and addressed to him the active area 27 and 28. The device can be used in a variety of principles of recording and play the program information, for example, magnetic or optical. When using magnetic principle on the disk is applied to the magnetic layer for recording and reproducing information using an inductive head. When using the optical principle of the optical head serves to guide the laser beam to the reflecting or light-absorbing surface which carries information layer deposited on the disk and for receiving reflected or passed through the holes in the light-absorbing surface of the beam and direction on the photodetector (not shown).

The head 25 or 26 may be in the process of operation of the device depending on its design execution to perform a reciprocating motion, as shown in figure 1, or a reciprocating swinging movement, as shown in Figure 2. The drive head (not shown) provides for movement of the head 25 and 26 in a plane parallel to the plane of rotation of the discs 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6. The direction of movement of the head 25 and 26 depending on the design execution is indicated on figure 1 and figure 2 by the arrows.

Information is applied to the drive and read from it on the spiral track. The positioning of the heads 25 and 26 on the track is carried out by simultaneous operation of the drive of the rotation drive and the drive head (not shown). The information-carrying layer on all disks 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, or on all drives, CR is IU the remote 1 and 4 from the head 25 or 26 of the disk, made with a window 29 (3) or 30 (4), transparent to the signal emitted or read head 25 and 26.

Drive rotation of the discs 1, 2, 3 is conventionally represented in figure 1 in the form of gears 13, 14, 15 and the shafts 19, 20, 21, and drives 4, 5, 6 figure 2 - in the form of gears 16, 17, 18 and the shafts 22, 23, 24. Drive rotation of the discs 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 are made with the possibility of their independent rotation and fixing in position, providing the location of the Windows 29 and 30 opposite the active zone 27 and 28 of the heads 25 and 26. For writing or reading information from the disk it activates, i.e. gives the rotation, and the head to be moved along its trajectory. All other drives should be locked in position when the window is located opposite the active zone of the head. Recording or reading of information from aktivirovannogo terminate at the time you enter the Windows disk in the active area of the head and resume in the time window from the active zone. 6. The device according to claims 1 to 5, characterized in that the head is mounted with the possibility of reciprocating movement in a radial direction relative to the disk.

7. The device according to claims 1 to 5, characterized in that the head is mounted with the possibility of a reciprocating swinging movement relative to the disk.

8. The device according to claims 1 to 3, characterized in that the transparent window for output and/or read head is formed through axial slot in the disk.
