Rodenticide composition

FIELD: agriculture, in particular, means for killing of mice and rats.

SUBSTANCE: rodenticide composition contains active substance - anticoagulant, attractant, food base, and sodium citrate, said components being used in the following ratio, wt%: anticoagulant 0.005-0.02; sodium citrate 3-5; attractant 2-5; food base the balance. Warfarin, difenacin, ethylfenacin, isoindan may be used as anticoagulant. Sugar, non-refined vegetable oil, and dried milk may be used as attractant. Cereal grain and groats, and combined feed may be used as food base. Rodenticide may further contain food colorant used in an amount of 0.02-0.05 wt%, with methylene blue or brilliant green or indigo carmine being used as colorant.

Known composition are not sufficiently effective, it must be reused (at least 3-4 times). In addition, prolonged use of a number of on the of ulazi rodents (especially rats) there is resistance to these rodenticides, resulting in sharply reduced their activity.

The objective of the invention is to increase the efficiency of the composition by increasing rodent activity against resistant to anticoagulants in rodents and simplify its use by reducing the multiplicity of the application.

The problem is solved by creating a rodenticide composition comprising the active agent anticoagulant, attractant, food-based, sodium citrate under the following ratios, wt.%:

As an anticoagulant may be used warfarin, defensin, ethylbenzene, saindon.

As attractant use sugar, unrefined vegetable oil, milk powder.

As nutrition use grains and cereals, fodder.

Rodenticide composition can optionally contain food dye in a concentration of 0.02 to 0.05%, and the dye contains methylene blue or brilliant green or Indigo Carmine.

Sodium citrate (sodium citrate) - Na3With6H5O7 2H2O - white crystalline powder, soluble in water, in medical practice used for blood conservation (Medmaravis. Drugs, volume 2, 1972, p.56).

In the patent and scientific literature is unknown solutions are similar claimed, i.e. the proposal meets the criteria of the invention of "novelty."

All components are stated lures are produced by the domestic industry, i.e. the sentence "industrially applicable".

In the literature it is not known synergistic effect of addition of sodium citrate to rodenticides-anticoagulants. We first showed that the combined use of these rodenticides with sodium citrate increases rodent activity against resistant to anticoagulants in rodents and simplifies its use by reducing the multiplicity of applications. Simple individual use of these rodenticides and sodium citrate does not achieve the claimed positive effect and does not give sufficient deratization effect, therefore, the invention meets the criterion of "inventive step", because only the combination of the stated components in specific amounts to exterminate rats and mice.

Compounds 1-22 tested for effectiveness in comparison with the known analogues (control 1-4).

Experiments were performed on rats in accordance with the guidelines on the assessment of the efficacy, toxicity, and risk rodenticides approved KXAN 01-19 127-17 in 1995 In each experiment were taken on 5 rats that are kept in quarantine for 2 weeks. The number of experiments was at least 3-5 replicates. All poisoned bait was fed to rats in the presence of alternative (neutralinos) feed. Observation of experimental animals were carried out over 3 weeks. Rodent activity was determined by the percentage of death of rats in experiments. Test results showed that the use of experimental compounds 1-22 obtained according to examples 1-22, the percentage of death of rats was 100%, while when using control 1 - 73,3%, control 2 - 80.0%of control 3 - 70,0%, control 4 - 0%. In addition, in the control formulations gave the rodents not less than three times in ECENA three four days and experienced the compositions were applied once daily for one to two days.

Thus, the claimed composition can effectively (20-30% more efficient) to fight with mice and rats at any period of the year, even in winter.
