Method for correcting flat valgus foot deformity of moderate severity in 3-6 years old children suffering from cerebral paralysis

The invention relates to medicine, namely to traumatology and orthopedics.

Known solution planovalgus foot deformity in children with cerebral palsy using extra-articular podernovo spinal fusion with fixation of the graft.

The disadvantages of this process are: the talocrural podernovo joint, or, on the contrary, early resorption of the graft, leading to relapse of the deformity caused by hypermobility in patternnum joint.

The objective of the proposed method is to increase the effectiveness of treatment of children with cerebral palsy at an early age (3-6 years) with moderate planovalgus deformity of the foot by creating a bone block (obstacles) at the level of the front edge of the articular surface of the calcaneus to prevent hypermobility podernovo joint and, as a consequence, prednimustine displacement of the talus, while not arthrodesis podjarny joint.

This object is achieved by the work in the calcaneus of the groove at the level of the anterior edge of the posterior articular surface to the depth equal to 1/3 the thickness of the heel bone, and a width of 1 cm, the introduction received in the groove of the bone graft and fixation of its two spokes of Kirchner.

Figure 1 shows the ankle-heel-decline the s (side view) and the correction pattern planovalgus deformity, where:

position 1 - the heel bone,

- position 2 - of the talus bone,

- position 3 - podjarny joint,

- position 4 - groove, filled with graft.

Figure 2 presents the heel bone (top view) and the correction pattern planovalgus deformity, where:

position 5 is the heel bone,

- position 6 - posterior articular surface of the calcaneus,

- position of the 7 - groove on the leading edge of the posterior articular surface,

- position 8 - transplant.

The method is as follows.

Of the arcuate cut to 3 cm, top pointed down the anterolateral surface of the foot, in layers allocated area podernovo joint. In the heel bone along the anterior edge of the articular surface of the bit is the groove depth equal to 1/3 the thickness of the heel bone, and a width of up to 1 cm In the resulting groove is inserted bone graft, for example obtained from m/tibia bone. Fixation is the last two spokes Kirchner, the wound is sutured in layers. Immobilization is circular plaster cast.

The proposed method allows to reduce the degree of deformity and improve function in children with cerebral palsy at the age of 3-6 years.

SUBSTANCE: in case of the suggested method of treating one should isolate extensor's tendon damaged in area of nail phalanx to suture it with a certain suture, the ends of ligature should be directed through oblique canal in nail phalanx to withdraw through the skin and fix them on S-likely curved free end of a needle that fixes the nail phalanx.
