The invention relates to long-term underground controlled isolation of nuclear waste, in particular to facilities for long-term storage of spent nuclear fuel (SNF), shipped for disposal in the form of fuel assemblies fuel assemblies and/or fuel elements FUEL elements.

Known repository for long-term storage of spent nuclear fuel containing lined with concrete and stainless steel borehole, at the base of which is equipped with a protective concrete tube, and in the wellhead cover will be fitted with airtight gasket, covered with a layer of soil. Well placed canisters with spent nuclear fuel (see Nuclear energy, t, issue 4, 2000, C-276, goats J.V. and other "Long-term storage and transportation of spent nuclear fuel").

A disadvantage of the known storage is the lack of ventilation internal storage space, which in the presence of residual heat dissipation leads to a rapid deterioration of containers with SNF. This circumstance does not allow for long-term storage of spent nuclear fuel containing highly radioactive wastes in a well-known store.

Closest to the claimed combination of essential characteristics is the repository for long-term storage of spent what about the fuel, with a vertical bore, equipped with a tight jumper and a cap at the top of the wellhead and ventilation wells, the SNF canisters are placed in containers basket, which is installed in the borehole at each other in the form of garlands (see RF patent №2212720).

The disadvantage of the store is the fact that in case of need for emergency extraction of the SNF canisters located in the bottom baskets, containers, it is necessary to extract all upstream containers-baskets, which, given that they contain the highly radioactive wastes must be placed in temporary storage, which increases the cost of construction of a repository for long-term storage of spent fuel, and the need to move waste from one store to another reduces the reliability and security of spent fuel storage.

The present invention is the creation of a repository for long-term storage of spent nuclear fuel, providing a reliable, long-term isolation of the SNF canisters without removing non-emergency containers to the surface during maintenance or repair work.

The problem is solved by creating a repository for spent nuclear fuel containing a vertical hole with a protective hermetic jumper at the top of the hole, placed the well containers canisters with SNF and ventilation wells, in which, according to the invention, the containers are made in the form of a cylinder with perforated sections at the bottom and set vertically on the bottom of a well, the canisters with spent nuclear fuel located in the containers one above the other, while in the well has at least one free container, and a protective sealed jumper at the top of the wells installed below the upper ends of the containers.

The execution of the containers for spent nuclear fuel in the form of a cylinder mounted vertically on the bottom of the borehole, provides free access to each container, the placement of canisters with spent fuel in the container one above the other and, accordingly, removing the SNF canisters during repair and maintenance work in each container, without affecting the other containers. The presence of at least one empty container, allowing to place the canisters with spent fuel removed from a container, which is undergoing renovation or maintenance work, providing the ability to carry out repair or maintenance without removing the SNF canisters to the surface. The presence of the perforated sections in the lower part of the container provides ventilation bore through the inner cavity of the container and efficient cooling placed in containers canisters with SNF.

Teleshop the EIT, to containers of the SNF canisters were located on the perimeter of the bore, and a free container is set between them in the center of the well.

The placement of the spare container in the center of the well, and containers canisters with SNF - uniformly around the perimeter along the borehole wall provides free access to any container and uniform thermal load on the lining well.

1 shows a storage section, figure 2 - cross section along a-A.

The repository contains a vertical bore 1 calculated diameter, concrete-lined lining 2, sacranie space and the bottom of the vertical well 1 plugged betonelementer solution 3. At the bottom of the vertical well 1 is vertically installed open top working containers of 4 canisters with SNF and free the container 5, as a rule, working containers 4 are installed around the perimeter of the bore, and a free container 5 is in the center of the well. Working 4 and 5 free containers made in the form of a cylinder with perforated sections 6 in the lower part of the cylinder. In the upper part of the vertical hole 1 below the upper ends of the work 4 and the free 5 containers installed protective jumper 7. Under the protective jumper from 7 wells 1 made ventilation salable 8 to the surface. The mouth of the vertical well 1 is equipped with a head 9 with a hole 10 in the Central part.

After construction of the warehouse is loaded canisters 11 SNF working containers 4, wherein the canister 11 is placed in each work container 4 one above the other in the form of garlands and held in the working container 4 at a specified height by means of spacers 12, and the center - using centralizers 13. Allocated for SNF storage of heat is enough to make a natural ventilation of the store. When this breath of fresh air 14 through the vent checked-8 falls into the vertical hole 1, is lowered into its lower portion and through the perforated sections 6 cold air enters into the interior of the container and the cooling canisters 11 spent fuel heats up, rises up and through the opening 10 in the top 9 jet of heated air 15 is discharged to the atmosphere.

When the diameter of the case 11, is equal to 600 mm, and the estimated structural gap between the wall of the case 11 and the inner wall of the working container 4, is equal to 150-200 mm, the best is vertical well 1 with a diameter of 5 m around the perimeter of the vertical well 1 along its walls can accommodate six working containers 4 and one free container 5 in the center. According to the calculations in bunk arrangement of the canister 11 in the working container 4 with the dissipation of 1.8 kW/canister heat load on the wall of the borehole 1 SOS-the representatives of no more than 25 W/m 2and the depth of the vertical hole 1 with a protective pillar will be (40-50) m

In case you need to remove the bottom of a canister of spent nuclear fuel, for example, during repair or maintenance of one of the workers of the containers 4, the upper canisters with SNF from this container are transferred into the vacant container 5 without removing the surface, and the lower canister with spent fuel is removed for repair or for processing.

Thus the present invention provides a reliable long-term isolation of spent nuclear fuel without extracting it to the surface if necessary routine maintenance or emergency repair work, which significantly reduces costs for the construction and operation of the repository.

2. Store according to claim 1, characterized in that the containers canisters with spent nuclear fuel located at the perimeter of the bore, and a free container is set between them in the center of the well.
