FIELD: medical equipment.

SUBSTANCE: device can be used in microbiology. It characterizes by peculiarities of taking microorganisms from surface of nose polipi for direct electron microscope testing. Device has rod with cap. Rod is made of iron. Two-sided sticky carbonaceous band is fixed onto cap of rod. Top sticky surface of band is brought into contact with mucous of polipi of nose for getting preparation-print of micro content followed by viewing it in scanning electron microscope. Device doesn't cause traumatism of patient's mucous and allows determining L-shaped bacteria quickly as well as their sizes, shape and types of reproduction onto polyp tissue.

EFFECT: improved efficiency of detection.

The proposed device relates to medical technology, and more specifically to devices used in Microbiology, and deals with the technical characteristics sampling microorganisms from the surface of nasal polyps for their direct electron-microscopic study.

A device for determining the contamination of surfaces by microorganisms in the form of gauze swabs: first - soaked in 5% solution of polyvinyl alcohol, second - soaked in 0.9% aqueous solution of sodium chloride, third - dry gauze swab. After successive wiping a swab of nasal mucosa swabs laundered from micro-organisms in the same vessel with a 0.9% aqueous solution of sodium chloride with subsequent determination of the number of microorganisms in flushing [1]. Such a device has the following disadvantages:

1. The impossibility of direct electron-microscopic examination of material taken using gauze swabs.

2. The inability to detect L-forms of bacteria.

3. Mechanical damage of L-forms.

4. The inability to determine the ratio of microbial cells in the place they live and how they divide the surface of the mucous membrane of the nose.

5. The mixture of microorganisms from different topical surfaces of the nasal cavity.

6. The impossibility of taking the material with a remote and a small area of the surface is rnost polyps of the nose.

7. The inability to pre-select media for subsequent bacteriological examination.

8. The awkwardness of the sampling of the material, the risk of contamination gauze swabs air microorganisms.

9. Great time, alcohol, gauze, nutrient media.

The aim of the invention is to increase the effectiveness of topical electron microscopic detection of L-forms of bacteria, accelerate and simplify the research process.

The device is prepared in advance for multiple use and sterilized one of the cool ways.

The device (1) consists of a shaft 1, made for example of iron, having a cap 2. On a face surface of the head 2 of the rod 1 is fixed with double-sided adhesive carbon tape 3, which has one sticky side 4 and the other sticky side 5 with a protective coating 6, made for example from washed paper. One sticky side 4 is pasted on a hat, her other sticky side 5 with the coating 6, which protects the adhesive surface from drying out and contamination, facing outwards.

The device is used as follows.

In a sterile glass Petri dish with sticky tape 3, its sticky side 5, remove the protective cover 6. Enter sterile nasal mirror in the nasal cavity of the patient, tweezers capture device for the rod 1 and the clamp shall have a sticky side 5 with the adhesive tape 3 to the surface of the polyp. The result on the sticky side 5 tape 3 get the preparations of L-forms of bacteria. After drying in a sterile glass Petri dish prep sprayed with carbon in a vacuum chamber VUP-4 to create a conductive coating, then the prep scan in a scanning electron microscope LEO 1420, choosing the optimal increase from 1500 to 30000 or more times.

The fundamental difference between the proposed device from known is that with its help it is possible detection of L-forms of bacteria specific surface of the polyp nose without damaging the L-forms of bacteria, accelerate and simplify the research process.

The proposed device has been tested in 10 adult patients polypous rhinosinusitis is all on the surface polypous tissue found different ways of L-forms of bacteria.

Examples of use of the device in the clinical setting.

Patient A., 48 years old. Diagnosis: polypous rhinosinusitis. Using the proposed device taken the imprint of the mucous polyp. The results view of the drug-imprint in the scanning electron microscope is presented in figure 2 and fragmentation of filamentous forms and formation on its surface of elementary bodies (INCR.×8000); b - output elementary bodies on the surface of the thread on the right path (INCR.×25000); a mixture of L-fo is m (INCR.× 8000).

Patient C., 56 years. Diagnosis: bronchial asthma, polypous rhinosinusitis. Using the proposed device taken the imprint of the mucous polyp. The results view of the drug-imprint in the scanning electron microscope is presented in figure 3: - fragmentation lower divisions filiform shape with the formation of elementary bodies on the right path (INCR. 9000); b - budding elementary bodies on the upper pole of the thread (INCR.×15000);-g - conglomerates of the L-forms (INCR.×10000, INCR.×7000).

SUBSTANCE: the present innovation deals with preparing hepatic preparations for histological testing. In the course of an experiment on inducing hepatic pathology animals should be perfused with glutaraldehyde formaldehyde fixing agent through portal vein under conditions of narcosis. Then comes perfusion with incubation medium containing 0.2%-digitonin in Flickinger's solution at pH being 7.2 at 20-22°C. After incubation hepatic tissue should be reduced to be placed into 0.2%-digitonin for 4-10 h, and then samples should be washed with 0.1 M cacodylate buffer and postfixed with 1%-solution upon cacodylate buffer for 2 h. Then it is necessary to conduct dehydration to be put into araldite followed by contrasting with uranylacetate and lead citrate. The method enables to increase degree of contrast due to fixing hepatic tissues in situ and optimal matching incubation medium.

SUBSTANCE: method can be used for objective estimation of color of solid tissues of teeth, filling material and fillings. Method of estimation includes application of light along lightguide onto part of tooth and guiding of reflected light along lightguide to introduce reflected light into spectrum analyzer. Reflection spectrum is subject to colorimetric treatment to determine coloration. The coloration is compared with pre-known coloration of samples. Color is judged to be identical in case both colorations coincide. Light is applied to non-damaged part of tooth and reflected light is collected by means of photometric sphere. Coordinates of coloration are determined from reflection spectrum. The coordinates are compared with known ones of samples of filling material. If difference in color doesn't exceed 2-3 thresholds then filling material is chosen. If color difference is bigger then two filling materials are chosen and imposed one on the other and the third material is added to reduce color difference till specified threshold. Control determination of coordinates of coloration of filling is carried out and in case the coordinates coincide with coordinates of coloration of non-damaged part of tooth doesn't exceed 2-3 thresholds, the estimation is judged to be identical one.
