The present invention relates to a device for cutting plastic, primarily for cutting integrated in the chip card inserts.

Such devices for cutting used for cutting into the chip cards of the so-called integrated inserts, have been known for quite a long time. Such known devices have a cutting or punching, punch, paired with counter, with exposed cutting plastic, i.e. the smart card is located between the cutting punch and counter. Working part used in these known devices, the cutting punch give such shape that corresponds to the desired contour of the cutting insert, the cutting angle required for cutting slits between the insert and the rest of the chip card, is always 90°.

Based on the foregoing, the present invention was based on the task of developing a device for cutting inserts of the type specified above, which would allow virus the th slot is practically around the perimeter of such insert with the exception of a small number of jumpers and which would avoid the disadvantages, inherent in known devices for cutting plastic, in particular, the formation of cracks in the paint layer on the edge of the cut section and burrs.

According to the invention for cutting inserts, representing a miniature chip card format ID-000, growing in a smart card format ID-1, it is proposed to use a cutting punch, paired with counter, respectively, with the matrix, i.e. to use the stamp, which is subjected to cutting the chip-card is located on the matrix, and to cut with this die cut punch slots on the contour corresponding to the size of the insert. Figure 1 shows a chip card 1, the dimensions of which preferably correspond to the format ID-1. In this map integrated miniature chip card 2, i.e. the so-called insert, format ID-000.
