EFFECT: simplified method for operation of repositionable carpet holding apparatus, reduced production costs and increased efficiency in preventing carpet from sliding relative to floor.

This invention relates to a sheet material which can be used by the consumer to prevent lateral displacement of the carpet on a floor surface and, more specifically, to a foamed sheet material having uniform characteristics, with the upper surface covered with an adhesive substance, and not the adhesive bottom surface.

Consumers often use small rugs on many different floor surfaces for decoration and to prevent wear in heavy traffic areas. These rugs can complement the colour scheme of the room and can prevent premature wear of the finishing surface layer of the floor. However, a small carpets have a tendency to shift in the lateral direction when placing them on a hard, smooth floor. This leads to the displacement of a small carpet with a given space and/or to the formation of folds on a small carpet.

To reduce the magnitude of lateral displacement and wrinkling, which traditionally inherent in a small carpets, and used different products. They included the use of double-sided adhesive tape, in which one surface sticks to the underside of the carpet, and the other sticks to the surface of the floor. Despite the fact that double-sided adhesive tape can provide a decrease in the extent of lateral displacement and reduction about is adowanie folds, it has many inherent disadvantages. Figure 5 illustrates the manufacturing process means 10 for holding the carpet. Layer 20 in the form of a sheet of fabric is fed from the first feed drum 26. Then two layers are pulled through a curing oven 44, in which the heat of the furnace 44 causes the release of gases from latex, the resulting foamed material, and curing of the latex with the formation of the lower and upper layers of foamed material, indicated respectively by the reference numbers 18 and 19. In addition, the layers 18 and 19 of the foam material bonded to a Central layer 20 tissue with the formation of the partial laminate 46.

Preferably through an independent process and installation of the top layer 22 of adhesive and lining 24 is applied then the partial laminate 46. More precisely, the adhesive 23 is applied in the form of a coating on the side of the partial laminate 46, representing the top layer 19 of foamed material, by using the transmitting roller bearing roller 48 and 50 to create the top layer 22 of adhesive. FIELD: carpet securing facilities.

SUBSTANCE: apparatus has continuous layer of foamed material including continuous lower layer of foamed material with non-sliding and non-adhesive lower surface contacting directly with floor surface, and continuous upper layer of foamed material with upper surface for contacting with lower side of covering. Apparatus is further provided with continuous thin woven layer intermediate lower layer of foamed material and upper layer of foamed material, and adhesive layer on upper surface of layer of foamed material. Adhesive layer may be layer of acrylic adhesive. According to second version, adhesive layer may be pressure-sensitive adhesive layer. According to third version, apparatus has layer of detachable paper coated with silicone, said paper layer covering said adhesive layer. Method involves providing carpet holding apparatus consisting of non-sliding and non-adhesive separate non-bound and continuous sheet with upper surface adapted for engagement with carpet lower side, and lower side adapted for preventing carpet from displacement relative to floor surface without utilization of adhesive; applying adhesive means onto upper surface of said sheet; placing said sheet between carpet and floor surface so that said adhesive means cooperates with carpet and said lower surface of said sheet cooperates with floor for preventing carpet from displacement relative to floor.

EFFECT: simplified method for operation of repositionable carpet holding apparatus, reduced production costs and increased efficiency in preventing carpet from sliding relative to floor.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to heat-fusible welding cord intended for bonding floor coating elements containing copolymer selected from the group consisting of polymers based on acrylic acid, methacrylic acid or maleic anhydride, polyethylene and copolyamide. Invention relates to floor coating including seam made on using said welding cord in compliance with this invention. Invention may be used for bonding elements of floor coating elements composed of coating based of polyolefines, PVC, linoleum and rubber.
