Film-forming composition

FIELD: protective coatings.

SUBSTANCE: composition contains 10-30% of sunflower oil oxidized at 130°C in presence of triethylaluminum, 20-40% of thermally treated "green oil", and 50% solvent. Thermally treated "green oil" is obtained by heating (3 h at 50-150°C) by-product of ethane-ethylene fraction hydrogenation stage on ethylene-propylene production plant. Composition forms elastic films on substrate, which films are characterized by good adhesion and are capable of drying with no dryer added.

EFFECT: reduced consumption of edible vegetable oils, enlarged resource of raw materials and assortment of improved-quality lacquer materials, and enabled formation of films under mild conditions.

The invention relates to technology of polymers and may find application in the paint industry in the production of drying oils, varnishes and paints.

Known drying oil type "oksol", obtained by the oxidation of the vegetable oil with the subsequent introduction of an oil drying and dilution in organic solvents. The disadvantages of such drying oils: high consumption of scarce edible vegetable oils, color varnish 800 mg I2/100 ml; low resistance and hardness of the films [Linseed oil "oksol". Technical conditions. GOST 190-78].

In paint and varnish materials increasingly used as binders are synthetic substitutes of vegetable oils.

Known film-forming, obtained by fusing oksipolimerizatsija semidrying vegetable oil (30%) and petroleum resin (70%), followed by cooling and the introduction of the solvent and drying agent [AC USSR 802343. A method of producing a drying oil / Cigarates and other Publ. 7.02.81]. The disadvantage of them is a dark color, as well as the need for a process at a high temperature (260°).

The closest in technical essence to the present invention is film-forming composition obtained by the combination of oxidized sunflower oil, desiccant NF-1 with a synthetic resin, for example, a petroleum resin [AC USSR 910709. Forming the song / Mperial. Publ. 7.03.82, BI No. 9]. The lack of it can be attributed to the need for the use of the modifying additive comprising glycerol ester of rosin, resinate zinc and calcium and helps to solve the problem of combining a petroleum resin oil by cold blending.

The task of the invention is to reduce the consumption of edible vegetable oil, extending the resource base and range of paint and varnish materials of improved quality, the process under mild conditions with simultaneous simplification of technology for film-forming.

The problem is solved by combining oxidized sunflower oil (PSO) with heat-treated "green oil" (LT).

"Green oil" (SM) is a by - product phase hydrogenation of ethane-ethylene fraction of the plant producing ethylene, propylene EP-300. At the heart of this side-product lie reactions hydropolitical acetylene [the Pyrolysis of hydrocarbons/Mukhina so-CALLED. and other M: Chemistry, 1987, S. 166]. Heat treatment ZM is carried out in the temperature range 50-150°C for 3 hours and still get the product is heat-treated "green oil". The properties of the original and heat-treated at different temperatures SM are presented in table. 1 [Bondaletov V.G. and other Research products of catalytic Gadirov the Oia ethane-ethylene fraction of pyrolysis products as a polymeric film-forming materials // Plastic mass. 2004, No. 5, p.50-51].

Oxidized sunflower oil is obtained by oxidation of sunflower oil in the presence of triethylamine at a temperature of 130°With up to a viscosity of 1600 VZ-4 at 20°WITH [RU 2229492 C1, 27.05.04, bull. 15].

The obtained film-forming composition comprises oxidized sunflower oil - 10-30 wt.%; heat-treated "green oil" - 20-40 wt.%; the solvent (aromatic hydrocarbons, solvent, white spirit, petrol) - 50 wt.%.

Example (PL. 2, sample 1)

30 g of a 50%solution of oxidized sunflower oil in mineral spirit and 20 g of a 50%solution of the heat-treated "green oil" in white-spirit mix. Estimate the viscosity and color of the resulting solution, and then water the film and determine the drying time of the coating, bending strength and resistance to shock. Optionally, the drying agent in the composition is not administered.

The viscosity of the OT-4 the resulting solution is 27 with color - 80 mg I2/100 ml drying Time up to 3 tbsp. of coverage is 24 hours; bending strength - 1 mm; tensile impact - 90 kgf·cm; adhesion receives 1 point.

The results obtained for different ratios of the starting components is presented in table 2.

Thus, under mild conditions obtained film-forming composition containing oxidized sunflower oil and heat-treated "green oil".

Getting plank is forming composition to obtain a drying oils, varnishes and paints thus allows you to:

1) reduce the consumption of vegetable oils;

2) to reduce the process temperature to room;

3) to carry out the process in one stage;

4) eliminate the use of driers, giving the song a dark color;

5) recycle wastes of plant producing ethylene, propylene EP-300.
