The invention relates to methods for modifying additives for paints and can be used in the paint industry for the production of ORGANOARSENIC water-based paints alkyd varnishes used for external and internal works.

A method of obtaining polymeric pigment dispersant for ORGANOARSENIC paint materials by the interaction polyamine containing two primary and/or secondary amino groups, with a polyisocyanate containing at least two isocyanate groups. Preferably as an amine using Ethylenediamine, hexamethylenediamine were, polyethylenimine etc. (EP 0292702 A1, class 09 D 17/00, 09 At 67/00, 1988).

The closest analogue of the proposed technical solution is the way to obtain a pigment dispersant "Telas" for ORGANOARSENIC paint materials by condensing at 180-200°With 25-30 wt.% the product of the interaction of diethanolamine and boric acid with 70-75 wt.% vegetable oil (RU 2146689 C1, CL 09 D 191/00, 20.03.2000).

The disadvantage of these dispersing agents is that they do not possess at the same time and emulsifying properties, and therefore cannot be used in water-based paint materials.

The technical result of the invention is the expansion of the range of the Ukrainian modifying additives for ORGANOARSENIC paints, possessing simultaneously dispersing, emulsifying and plasticizing properties.

This result is achieved in that in the method of producing modifier for ORGANOARSENIC paint materials by condensation of the product of the interaction of diethanolamine and boric acid with vegetable oil at 180-200°C, condensation process is conducted at the following ratio of the components of the reaction mixture, wt.%:

Product interaction
diethanolamine and boric acid40,0-45,0
Vegetable oilrest

The process of condensation of vegetable oil with the product of the interaction of diethanolamine and boric acid at a stated ratio of reagents allows you to get the modifier "Telas-15", simultaneously with dispersing, emulsifying and plasticizing properties, which allows to use it as modifying additives in ORGANOARSENIC, water-based paint materials.

Introduction in the reaction mixture of vegetable oil less 55,0 wt.% or more than 60.0 wt.%, the product of the interaction of diethanolamine and boric acid less than 40.0 wt.% or more of 45.0 wt.% leads to deterioration of dispersing, emulsifying plastifitsirujushchih properties of the modifier. The process of condensation at temperatures below 180°lengthens the reaction time, and holding it at the temperature above 200°leads to the degradation of vegetable oils and the formation of resins collected products.

As vegetable oils used sunflower, coconut, soybean or linseed oil.

The product of the interaction of diethanolamine and boric acid is obtained by heating at a temperature of 120-140°and a pressure of 200-300 mm Hg with distillation of the water of 0.1 mol of diethanolamine with 0.05 mol of boric acid.

In a reactor equipped with a stirrer, a thermometer and a nozzle Dean-stark download vegetable oil and the product of the interaction of diethanolamine and boric acid. The temperature is slowly increased up to 180-200°and maintain the reaction mixture at this temperature until a homogeneous mass with amine number of 60-70 mg HCl/g

Specific examples of the method of obtaining the modifier "Telas-15" shown in table 1.

Qualitative indicators alkyd enamels using 0.3% modifier Telas-15", 0.3% dispersant "Telos" and known water-based enamel PF-1218 " VE presented in table 2.

In the famous enamel PF-1218 VE as emulsifier used polyvinyl alcohol.

Using the proposed method allows to obtain a new domestic modifier for honorablely water-based paints, possessing simultaneously dispersing, emulsifying and plasticizing properties.
