The invention relates to the field of creating a low-cost sorbents fibrous structure with the use of industrial wastes.

The known method of introducing ionic groups into the matrix of the fibrous structure, such as cellulose fibers, by treatment with aqueous solutions of polyelectrolytes, in particular polyethylenimine (PAYS) (V.V. Lapin, etc. About the interaction of polyethylenimine (PAYS) with cellulose fibres. - Russian journal of applied chemistry, 1977, t No. 9, s-2084).

Sorption PAYS is irreversible, and with the increase in cellulose the number of carboxyl groups increases the amount of absorbed polyelectrolyte. However, the sorption properties of these materials is low.

Closest to the proposed technical essence is a way of sorbent fibrous structures, which carry out amination carboxylating polyacrylonitrile fibers by treatment with aqueous solutions of the PAYS (Ratushnyak IB and other Ion-exchange polyacrylonitrile fibers containing polyethylenimine. "Chemical fibres, 1978, No. 6, p.33).

However, the production of such sorbents is not cheap, and use them, for example, to retrieve small amounts of copper ions after chemical treatment of wastewater is impractical.

For such cases prospectively using adsorbents from waste products. About the moves tanned leather shavings represent the matrix of the fibrous structure, contain carboxyl and amine groups. These wastes can be used, for example, to retrieve a small amount of some dyes from wastewater.

The objective of the invention is to provide a sorbent fibrous structure on the basis of waste tanned leather shavings, which has an improved ability to extract various components from different environments.

This object is achieved by a method of producing fibrous sorbent structure on the basis of waste tanned leather shavings, including the processing of fibrous matrix with an aqueous solution of polyelectrolyte obtained by alkaline hydrolysis of polyacrylonitrile or a copolymer based on it.

An aqueous solution of the polyelectrolyte obtained by alkaline hydrolysis of waste polyacrylonitrile (PAN) fibers, such as waste knitted fabric of 100% POLYACRYLONITRILE fibres. PAN fiber (trade name in Russia "Nitron") is made from a copolymer of Acrylonitrile (92%), methyl acrylate (6.3%) and basis of itaconic acid (1,7%).

For alkaline hydrolysis can also use lint-free waste polymer of Acrylonitrile or a copolymer with other monomers.

Example 1. A sample of 5.0 g of waste knitted fabric made of 100%acrylic placed in a 100 ml solution of sodium hydroxide containing alkali of 3.77 g, and heated at temperatures of the boiling while stirring until complete homogenization. The solution is cooled and acidified (for example, 30%acetic acid to slightly acid reaction pH (4,0-5,0). Legend of the obtained solution of the polyelectrolyte PAK-0.

The washed waste tanned leather shavings pour on hot (about 75° (C) a solution of PAK-0 (when the content of the hydrolyzed polymer 5-30% by weight of the chip) when the module baths 30 and held until it reaches room temperature. The obtained fibrous sorbent structure is washed with water and use, for example, to extract from aqueous solutions of iodine or of copper ions from wastewater after chemical processing.

Example 2. A sample of 5.0 g of waste Nitron fiber as in example 1, placed in a solution of sodium hydroxide with addition of 10% hydrochloric acid hydroxylamine from pulp waste fiber. Then proceed as in example 1. Symbolic name of the resulting solution of the polyelectrolyte PAC-10.

Waste of leather shavings treated with a solution of the PAC-10 as well as handle shaving solution PAK-0 in example 1.

Below is a comparative sorption characteristics of the original unmodified tanned leather shavings and chips-modified polyelectrolyte solutions PAK-0 and PAC-10.

Thus, the obtained sorbents allow very efficient removal from aqueous molecular iodine and copper ions. Selection of appropriate conditions (temperature, pH etc) allow you to use the obtained sorbents for the extraction of aqueous solutions of ions other heavy metals such as cadmium, Nickel and other

1. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to technology of manufacturing chemisorption materials for use in municipal hygiene sphere. Method consists in treatment of chemisorption carboxyl-containing material in Na form with 0.5-1.0% aqueous acid solution, e.g. hydrochloric acid solution, at modulus (ratio of weight of chemisorption material to acid solution volume) 1:30 and treatment time 0.5-1.0 h to transfer material into H-form. Chemisorbent is then washed with softened water to pH 5-6, after which material in H-form is treated for 0.5-1.0 h with 0.5-1.0% potassium hydroxide solution, modulus 1:30. At the expiration of treatment time, material is washed with softened water to pH 5.0-6.5. Presence of three-dimensional lattice, both during treatment time of chemisorption material in the form of fibers or nonwoven material and upon use of products from this material, prevents dissolution of polymer in water or in aqueous solution of acid or potassium hydroxide. Owing to filtration, chemisorbent entraps in water heavy metal ions contained therein and water is saturated with potassium ions so that chemisorption material acquires at least 4 mmol/g of carboxyl groups in K-form.

EFFECT: optimized manufacture conditions.
